  1. Looks like Dareus isn't playing either: @viccarucci: Looks like Corbin Bryant will start in place of Dareus at DT for #Bills vs the #Steelers
  2. List of who's not playing: Watkins Woods Harvin McCoy D. Thompson Hogan Ka. Williams B. Brown McKelvin Dixon
  3. Never mind looks like Byrce Brown isn't playing
  4. I talked to a rep at TicketMaster and they said if it doesn't look like they are going to get them before I/you fly to let them know and they'll make sure they can get them to you. Not sure if that means transferring them to Wembley to pick up or something.
  5. Wait, EJ Manuel is starting against Pittsburgh?!?
  6. True, that becomes tougher.
  7. Yea all 3 QBs are getting time with the "#1s". Fred is back and so is Byrce Brown. After that it'll be Hill, etc.
  8. I think people missed the criteria of minimum 10 starts, Torell Troup never started. Either did Maybin. As for AVP he went 2-6 in extended starting time in 2001, he was bad.
  9. @SalSports: There will be scouts/personnel department members from 3 of Bills first 4 opponents in attendance today: INDY, NEng, NYG. Didn't see Miami.
  10. I got an email from TicketMaster today saying they are still waiting for the tickets from the organizers(NFL). It says the latest you should get your tickets is 5 days before the event.
  11. Yea TE is the absolute worse, sad really when you go through the 15 years.
  12. Couple of them are pretty tough, like RB. At this point I think it has to be CJ just because he's been the most disappointing. McGahee, Henry, Lynch all were productive in Buffalo.
  13. Let's give it a go (minimum 10 games started): QB: Alex Van Pelt (he would later become a horrible OC) RB: FB: WR1 Donald Jones WR2: Josh Reed OT: Demtress Bell OG: Derrick Dockery C: Duke Preston OG: Brad Butler OT: Kirk Chambers or Mike Williams TE: Derek Schouman DE: Ryan Denney DT: Larry Triplett DT: Tim Anderson DE: Chris Kelsay LB: Keith Ellison LB: Kelvin Sheppard LB: John DiGiorgio CB: CB: SS: FS: Ko Simpson that's what I have so far...
  14. Ah, sorry, tough to follow in this thread.
  15. Rex already said he doesn't believe the 3rd preseason game means as much as people say. And how would they get the starting QB ready? Nearly all of the skills players won't be playing tomorrow so it's not like they'll be able to get ready with the guys they would be playing with.
  16. Right, so isn't having to prepare for 2 Qbs an advantage over having to prepare for 1? Especially since they have two completely different styles.
  17. So having a read option QB who can stretch the field versus a QB who likes to stay in the pocket and complete short throws and not knowing which QB you'll get isn't an advantage?
  18. I don't think the Bills think Indy doesn't know how to game plan for both QBs. The Bills are making the Colts prepare for more and with the short amount of time teams are given now, it's possible they can't fully prepare for both. Whereas if they knew for certain it was Cassel they could install a better more thorough game plan on what they want to run and how they want to stop the Bills. A not focused approach. There is loads of film out there on Cassel and not a lot of Tyrod, so they would be guessing at what the Bills might be doing with Tyrod. I think you are underestimating how defenses prepare.
  19. Seriously? You are talking about the difference of preparing for a short west-coast style attack with Cassel to a read-option stretch the field type QB with Taylor. They are almost polar opposite. If they prepare for one and not the other they could get burned a ton. If they prepare for both they can't devote enough time to a single one.
  20. I think the fact that Manuel isn't getting all or a significant amount of the 1st team reps is meaningful. Matt Cassel got all of the first team reps in the 1st preseason game. Tyrod Taylor got all of the "1st team" in the 2nd preseason game.
  21. Same. I think he showed in the Browns game he can make the smart safe throws just like Cassel can. He can sustain long drives to keep the defense fresh and he can convert tough third downs. As far as Manuel starting the 3rd preseason game, I don't think this could be a dress rehearsal for whoever the starting QB will be anyways. The Bills will be missing Watkins, Ka. Williams, Woods, Clay possibly. The only thing the QB starting would get is to play behind the starting OL.
  22. I agree with both of those statements.
  23. The desire to be "right" and gain internet message board credibility.
  24. I think the only odd part this week is the break down with the starters. It sure didn't seem like they were prepping EJ to start this week. Cassel still got the majority of the reps, followed closely by Taylor and then EJ got some with the 1s but very few and none at times. I suppose it doesn't matter because the starters aren't really the starters, except the OL. All the skills positions will be 2nd or 3rd team.
