He was t down by contact because of the trip and he didn't fumble when he tripped. He had his knee on the ground and Eric Wood tackled him, as soon as Wood touches him he is down. He can't fumble.

His asked to be responsible for or be aware of the players in front of him. That's the scheme, thats how it works, that's how it's coached. What you are suggesting is that he should freelance. Players need to do their job, a famous Pats saying. He can't possibly know if another player will come into his zone if he turns and runs to stay with Hill. But as I said before, carry on and I'll leave you to your opinion.
