  1. if he had stayed fat we would have been a playoff team. Gastric surgery is the ruin of the portly

AJ: This is as far north as my wife will let me play TT: I hope she likes chicken wings AJ: It takes awhile to get used to the Ohio fans with bags over their heads TT: Hopefully the river won't catch fire AJ: A one win season and you'll get the key to the C-town TT: Is there any bonus money for winning the battle of Ohio? AJ: No but the Brown family will give you some exhibition Reds tickets TT: Never had a brother for a head coach AJ: Marvin made me get these tats to help my street cred with Pacman and Vontaze
  3. Arm talent coachable
  4. I think Allen is benefitting from the Carson Wentz effect
  5. a hot wife has to count for something
  6. His graduating class voted him most likely to be in concussion protocol
  7. There's no point in trading up unless we get past Denver. There are no teams that need a QB between us and them
  8. He is the most talented of all this year's QB prospects. It is insane that some touts have Josh Allen ranked higher. He's not as polished as Darnold and Co but that can be learned. Jackson's special qualities cannot be taught. He's my #1 choice at QB
  9. We'd had top 5 defenses and crappy QB play before. It was called the Decade of Fail
  10. exactly what offense can accommodate TT and Drew Stanton? Somethings I'll never understand
  11. the rookie salary cap has reduced the financial risk on a player like Rosen but not the opportunity cost of trading draft picks to move up and take him. I'll be shocked if Rudolph goes in round 1
  12. assuming Darnold goes #1, 4 would get us one of Rosen, Allen, or Mayfield. We know that our front office will want certain of these players and not others. IMO Rosen and his concussion history are likely make GMs think twice. The question to ask is which of these QBs is our front office likely to value higher than AJ. You could say, physically, Allen has the biggest upside even though he may not be as accurate as Rosen or Mayfield. Mayfield's rise from walk on to starter screams great character and leadership attributes. On the NFL Network Charlie Weis said he valued Mayfield the highest of the QBs likening him to Drew Brees and Russel Wilson. I can't help but wonder if 12 is where Beane wants to be. He's not the type to do things by accident. I think McD's experience on the Panthers with Newton will give him the realization that having a player like Lamar Jackson makes up for other inadequacies like say a mediocre running game while still being a viable passing threat.
  13. Jesse Jackson says Hymietown wants Rosen
  14. OBD should sign him, especially if we whiff at QB in the draft
  15. not convinced the Giants are going QB
  16. We have not successfully drafted and developed our own QB since Joe Ferguson. Jim Kelly was USFL refugee that we did not develop
  17. the fact that he didn't learn his play book is an important part of Bills and NFL history
  18. Yes, I fear that one more concussion for him and he'll be Kevin Kolb 2.0
  19. the after effects of Catholicism last a lifetime regardless of whether you continue with the faith or not. Today I'm a practicing Buddhist but still feel inappropriate guilt which I attribute to my Catholic upbringing
  20. I fail to see what throws Josh Allen can make that Lamar Jackson can't. Allen is being hyped as the next Carson Wentz and Jackson is being downplayed to a Tyrod Taylor clone. Jackson to me represents good value at 12. I see more risk in Allen to say nothing of the differences in the level of competition they faced.
  21. To me the key to which QB falls to us lies with Denver at #5. I'm not convinced NYG is going QB. They could get back into post season with Barkley, Eli and a couple of O-linemen. They're waiting for a Hail Mary of picks from a desperate team wanting to move up. I think Terry and Kim have handed the keys to Beane and will allow him to deal picks as he sees fit. I think we took AJ as insurance against a super desperate move. If we avoid QB completely (not saying it will happen) we still have a young prospect in AJ and the fanbase can be appeased with that. The QB conundrum is you can win with a mediocre roster and great QB but if you don't have a great QB you need a near perfect roster to compensate. Perspective means a lot.You can look at our team and say we nearly beat a very good Jaguars team that could have been AFC champ with sub par QB play. By that definition we are only a QB away from glory. I'm OK with Jackson at 12 or Rudolph at our latter 1st round pick. We are thin at many spots. I think Jackson could be very special in the way Cam Newton and Deshaun Watson are special. Rudolph looks like a very well schooled if unspectacular pocket QB along the lines of Mark Brunell. His hilight really was impressive.
  22. I'm quite comfortable staying at 12 to select Jackson. He shows as much promise as the other 1st round prospects and we need to keep our other picks for an aging roster
  23. looks like everything about this offseason revolves around Cincy
  24. nice highlight reel from 2015
  25. another smart signing with very little downside
