    That is not usually how it works.  They want to keep working and stay visible.  I suspect most have an offset clause so they are not fully double dipping.

    If you are scared of another team in the playoffs, you have already lost.  All the teams in the AFC will have strong resumes.  To make the SB, they will need 3 strong wins.  Play to win Sunday and beat the teams you draw.

     

    I am trying to imagine the coach's pregame talk:  "We need to win so we delay facing Baltimore".

    So it is not a good strategy to throw 53 times with your receivers out and not utilize your excellent rush attack?
