  1. So I see fans think if the best player available is a CB then we take him regardless of need...brilliant. :P

We shouldn't zero in one just one specific position. Have a couple of players in mind at different positions of need then take the best one that's available. I think everybody understands that the secondary is the one place where we don't need much help at all.

  2. I say LT retires, doesn't want to go be a back up for a lesser team than the Chargers.

As for Lynch, I am definitely not a fan of all his off the field bullsh*t, but I think that as long as he doesn't do anything stupid again this off-season, the Bills should keep him because he still is a decent back. It would be stupid for the Bills to creates more problems for themselves when we still need a QB and lots of new 3-4 personnel.

Either way, they should draft an insurance policy RB in the middle of the draft. Toby Gerhart for instance :P

  3. I watched a couple of Moore's games at the end of the season last year and I thought he looked great. I would love to bring him in to compete for the job, but I don't think the Bills should give up too much for him since he isn't a lock as a starter. So unfortunately, I don't foresee him coming to Buffalo. Besides, Carolina will most likely find a way to keep him since, in my opinion, Delhomme is not a good quarterback anymore.

  4. I was a little disappointed that Brad Butler won't be back next year to hold down the right side of the line. I thought him and Eric Wood were going to make a good tandem on right side for a while. That being said, I think Demetrius Bell can be an effective RT at this point in his career. Here is how I see the Starting OL lining up next year:

LT (1st Round Pick...either Okung, Bulaga, Davis, Williams or Campbell)

    LG Andy Levitre

    C Geoff Hangartner

G Richie Incognito (until Wood is healthy enough to comeback)

RT Demetrius Bell (I would draft another T and/or bring in a proven FA to push for this job)

I agree for the most part except for the RT position. I think Bell is kept around just for some depth and Meredith/FA starts at RT.

Also, as much as I would like to see Wood back starting, I think Incognito will have to start for a bit until Wood returns as the full time starter of the future.

  5. The only guy on the roster who I like at RT is Merideth. He did 31 reps at the combine, so his upperbody strength is already pretty good, it's his lower he needs to work on, and he ran a 4.99 40, so he can move. I believe he weighed 304 last season, so he has room to get bigger as well. In all honesty I thought he would have given Butler a run for his money at RT anyways. The only decent option in free agency would be Vernon Carey.

I agree with you there. Meredith looks like a sleeper at the tackle position for us this year. I think he showed enough potential last year to get a look from the new coaching staff and compete for RT.

  6. I have mixed feelings on Campbell. If we sign him and he plays well under Gailey and leads us to some winning seasons, he potentially becomes our quarterback of the future.

On the other hand, if we sign him and he still plays somewhere in the below average - halfway decent range and doesn't do any better than Edwards/Fitz then we are set back another couple of years.

In my opinion it would be a gamble to bring him in. There are too many questions about his performance and I would much rather bring in a serviceable veteran stop-gap quarterback for a year or two to man the offense while we groom a project guy we get in the draft. (Also, I am not discounting Brohm to remain on the roster and be a competitor this year )

  7. NFL Mock draft 2010

    Buffalo Bills

    Round

    #1 –Anthony Davis –OT Rutgers 6-6 –325lbs.

#2- Cam Thomas- NT North Carolina 6-4 331 lbs.

    #3-Jason Fox –OT/OL Miami 6-6 314 lbs.

#4- Ciron Black –OL LSU -6-5 331 lbs.

#5- Vincent Oghobaase DT Duke 6-5 301 lbs.

#6A -Chris Degeare OG Wake Forest 6-4 326 lbs.

#6B- Marcus Easley WR- Connecticut 6-4 212 lbs.

    #7A-Josh Hall ILB – Penn State 6-3 236 lbs.

    #7B- Alex Daniels DE – Cincinnati 6-2 269lbs.

This would build a solid base for the future of this organization, Of cousre their are still many pieces that need to be filled through Free agancy and UFA. First, build the lines & your team can play competive ball- The QB can't make plays while lying on the ground....Please send feedback: 9- picks total w/o trades.

I agree with this except for a couple of points.

Firstly, I would like to see a linebacker, whether an ILB or OLB, taken earlier than the 7th round, unless we sign a big name 'backer.

Secondly, I know that we have O-line problems but I would like to see one of those four picks go towards a RB instead. Even if we keep Lynch, another RB wouldn't hurt at all and having multiple serviceable backs will help open things up for Gailey and his playbook.

  8. I was shocked when I heard this news. It really puts us back another step. He was, in my opinion, our safest bet on the o-line besides maybe Levitre and Wood if they continue to improve. In light of this, I think it is almost necessary now to draft a tackle with our pick at #9 unless we pick up a great proven veteran in FA.

  9. I would have to agree with the OP. Believe me, I'm not saying that we have anything near the kind of talent we have on the roster currently, but I believe the new coaching staff will make the right decisions in who is valuable enough to keep and who's out the door.

After seeing 7 players released yesterday (many of whom Jauron would have kept around) I think that we are moving in the right direction as to building a decent roster. A lot of those question marks on the roster will obviously be addressed in the draft and free agency, which is something we just have to wait for.
