  1. i also think roscoe will have a breakout season in galieys offense .IMO he will be used in the slot kind of like welker.

he is a great talent and a game breaker galiey will utilize those talents mark my words!

It would be great if Gailey could find a way to use Parrish, but I think he is done. I'd like to see him get traded for some draft picks, however, we may have to hold on to him now

  2. ...I like what I'm seeing so far with this new regime. I've been saying for months now that the Bills need to actually start rebuilding and stop trying to appease all the fans with insulting our intelligence with all of these quick fixes. (i.e.: T.O., Bledsoe, etc.).

Although I will miss T.O. and Josh Reed, neither one realisticly lived up to the hype. T.O. was "supposed to be the guy to take us to the next level, instead we lost one more game than the previous 3 years (Granted, he had the absolute worst QB's he's ever had throwing him the ball). Reed was supposed to be Hinds Ward every year he was here. That's not easy to do, and probably not very fair to Josh. Hinds Ward is a one of a kind player, and there's nobody like him and probably never will be. Just because someone looks the part doesn't mean anything. James Hardy is just as tall as Randy Moss...get it?

Bottom line is, and many might disagree, but I like that the Bills are starting fresh. New coach, new GM and hopefully, a rookie QB to build the franchise around the right way. I know it's only natural to be pessimistic being a Bills fan, but to me, this is like a breath of fresh air for me.

I agree with you, I also like how the new regime is handling things so far. The one thing I want to point out about what you said is I would disagree with a rookie QB THIS year. I'm not sure if that's what you are getting at, but I would rather not getting our franchise guy this year. Take a look at the Jets, they built their O-line up first then got Sanchez and where did he take them his rookie year? The AFC championship game. Granted they had a great defense as well but I think the Bills are a couple of playmakers away from having a stud defensive unit as well, depending on how the 3-4 switch goes.

I think that we would be better off focusing more on building both lines this year and taking our franchise guy next year after we get the trenches set straight. I suppose we could draft a project guy in a mid round but I wouldn't want us to put all our faith into whoever that guy may be.

  3. DEMARYIUS THOMAS IN THE 2nd or 3rd!!!

I bet he ends up being better than Bryant. (and Gailey knows him!)

I don't know but I wouldn't be too surprised if Gailey did pull the trigger on this guy if he had the opportunity since of the connection. As long as he isn't passing up on a player who we could use a lot more

  4. I thought it'd be fun to pose two different picks in each round for the Bills, then give reasons for which one I'd be picking. Most of the rounds here use the DraftTek ODS for one potential pick in each round.

RD1. Anthony Davis OT Rutgers or Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa?

    ----------> Bulaga. His lunch-pail mentality, NFL-readiness, and run-pass balance outweighs Davis's upside/fuzziness.

RD2. Brandon Spikes ILB Florida or Terrence Cody DT34 Alabama?

----------> Spikes. Bills are switching to the 3-4 and need a general. Plus I've seen Cody naked LOL!

RD3. Cam Thomas DT34 North Carolina or Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan?

----------> Thomas. Focus on building the lines in the draft, and maybe already-3rdRD QB's Brohm and Edwards show up.

RD4. Jarrett Brown QB West Virginia or Kyle Calloway OT Iowa?

----------> Calloway. The Bills need two tackles from this draft; why not Iowa bookends?

RD5. Arthur Jones DE34 Syracuse or Jevan Snead QB Mississippi?

----------> Jones. There are only 2 NFL QB's in this draft, and the Bills need a 3-4 DE if Maybin becomes a OLB.

RD6. O'Brien Schofield OLB34 Wisconsin or Blair White WRF Michigan State?

----------> White. T.O. won't be here, and the Bills don't have a bona fide 1-2-3 punch at WR. White will impress.

The Bills have 3 more picks in RD6-7, and I'd like one more at OT, OLB34, and WR.

Would like to see others have different names, or different opinions.

I would be really satisfied with this draft.

1 - I completely agree with Bulaga. He is my #1 pick for an OT in this draft.

2 - I always liked McClain and thought how great it would be if the Bills took him, but with Butler's retirement we NEED to go OT in the 1st. Spikes would be another great option as the defensive general of the future, like you state.

3 - No doubt we need a DT out of this draft and Cody won't fall this far so Thomas will have to do.

4 - I don't believe the Bills should take any QBs until next year unless there is something I don't know that Buddy does. Another OT is a fantastic choice here.

5 - Following my same line of thought as before on QBs and we will need new D lineman to run the 3-4.

6 - Again I agree with you. The Bills need to take a WR somewhere in this draft and while I don't know much about White, I think the need will outweigh the need for an OLB at this point, with Maybin converting.

As for the last 3 picks, I also would like to see an OLB taken and another OT but I also would like to see the Bills take a chance on a RB instead of another WR, but I could go either way.

    Just my 2 cents.

  5. Too many moving pieces in the 8 slots ahead of us.

That - and we've got quite a few glaring needs.

I'm looking forward to a good draft this year.

That pretty much hits the nail right on the head. Way to many variables for there to be a consensus at this point. We just have to have faith that Nix can get a guy he likes that we need at #9.

  6. Do you think he juiced?

I don't know enough about this 'was he juicing?' debate so I can't really comment. I actually think it's a little silly but that's just my honest opinion. People love to make up crap and/or excuses to fuel their speculations and beliefs. You have to learn to take everything with a grain of salt. That's why I am reserving judgment on him.

  7. Unfortunately you wont get much for Lynch after the season and offseason he had last year. He is one bad night away from being suspended for a full season and he didnt do anything on the field this year to warrant taking his starting job back. With quality veterans like LT, Westbrook, Taylor available in FA I dont think anyone would give up much in a trade for Lynch. The guys I just mentioned have proven to get it done on the field and off the field they are quality stand up guys.

Good post. I doubt Lynch will be going anywhere even if we wanted to get rid of him. As long as he stays out of trouble this year I expect him to do better this season. Gailey will find a way to utilize both Jackson and Lynch effectively.

  8. I'm waiting till next year on a QB in the draft. I'm open to a trade in free agency though.

    +1

I am not high on any QBs this year, but might consider a mid round pick on LeFevour, Pike or Robinson. I would like to see players who could contribute quicker though seeing as any of those guys would be projects. Next years draft class should have better QB talent.

  9. I dont like either that much, just Clausen more. Clausen I would consider taking over Bulaga, Bradford I would not. Hopefully we dont get the choice though, because I have zero confidence in our scouting staff choosing the right player.

I would Bulaga before either, but chances are both QBs will be gone anyway.

  10. Honestly, I think people are too harsh on Maybin. Sure he may have been a dick by holding out so long and missing training camp but seriously he was (I think) the youngest kid in the draft last year. He still has a lot of growing up to do, which hopefully he will start to do this season.

People have a problem with him celebrating because he has accomplished nothing, but I see a kid who is excited to be getting his chance and contributing. And I agree with a previous poster saying that this will be his real rookie year. Not only will this be his first time in training camp, but he will almost definitely be switching to a new position. He is going to need the help from the new staff and it will take time so people need to be patient. If every single NFL player that didn't live up to expectations their first year was declared a bust then the NFL would be full of them. Hell, according to that line of thought, Peyton would have been driven out of Indianapolis.

I say that we give him another year to grow and learn and see how things go. I am not saying he will be phenomenal or anything but I am reserving my judgement on him until after this season.

  11. We won't need to reach. We will be in perfect position to get an LT in the first and a NT in the second. Unless we have our RT on the roster or someone is targeted in free agency we should spend our 3rd on a RT or possibly a QB sleeper that we LOVE.

imo I think we HAVE to get at least one LB in free agency. He is a dick head but Joey Porter would fit the bill.

I completely agree with this post. We absolutely need to bring in a LB with 3-4 experience via FA and then draft another one or two in the mid to late rounds, as LT and NT should be taken in the first two.

  12. I never got into the Bradford Hype.

Qbs who dont lead their offense scare me, ie OK being a big smash mouth run first, play action pass second team. I know he had the stats and won the Heisman, but he never carried his team, and when they asked him to, he failed. NDs O was all Clausen to his WRs, no running game, no OL. They lost games sure but the score was 45-42, thats not on the Os shoulders. They way Clausen carried ND is the way Ryan carried BC (BTW Clausen is no where near as good as Ryan, just better than Bradford)

I never said I bought into Bradford either. Personally, I don't think that either one of them is all too great but if I had to make a choice between the two I would most likely choose Bradford.

  13. per rotoworld:

NFL Network's Mike Mayock believes there could be four offensive tackles drafted in the first nine picks this year.

Mayock also believes six offensive tackles will go in the first round overall, which means there wouldn't be much to choose from in the second round. Mayock has fast-rising Iowa OT Brian Bulaga rated as the one of the top-five players in the entire draft, along with Oklahoma State's Russell Okung.

Bulaga has always been my first pick at OT for the Bills. But if there looks to be a good amount of top OTs in the first then I would be happy with any of them I suppose.

  14. This garbage QB helped his team beat the vikes, giants, and champion saints to end the season. He throws TD passes. These aspects of his record do in fact make him more appealing than the schmoes on our roster who cannot beat winning teams or throw TDs.

+1 Exactly what I was trying to get at. :P

  15. Matt Moore? Really. Matt Moore. Why is it someone else garbage is more appealing than our own? If Matt Moore, or Tyler Thigpen, or Daunte Culpepper for christ sakes...were any better than TE, Ryan Smartypants, or Brohm, my name ain't Nathan Arizona.

    Seriously...

Have you seen Matt Moore play? He is the only reason Carolina salvaged a .500 record last year.

  16. you have no way of knowing how Wood will fare. he broke his leg. its healing fine there is no reason he will not be back before training camp IMO.

as long as there are no set backs he should be fine to go. it would not surprise me one bit to see him in OTA's he may not go full tilt but i'm betting he will participate.

if you noticed in his comments about buffalo he is already back in Buffalo so thats a very good sign IMO. i would not worry about wood however i agree with keeping Incognito he is a very good versitile nasty guard and center!

keeping Richie would negate the bills from spending an unecessary draft pick on another guard for depth .IMO they will tender him high enough at a second or third round compensation level to protect themselves. if we do loose him and gain a second or third round pick we are still in great shape.

I completely agree with you, I got a little ahead of myself when I said Incognito would be starting over Wood. But, hey, you never know. I was speaking more in terms of keeping him around because Wood may be a question mark if his recovery doesn't go as hoped.
