  1. Did you forget your meds today?
  2. I think we have to recognize that these taller, stronger WRs are unlikely to be able to physically be devastating route runners. It is a lot harder for the taller guys with longer legs to gear down, stop/start, cut quickly and sharply than it is for a 5’9”-6’ guy that weighs 170-200lbs.
  3. What $ are you planning to spend to patch hole in FA?
  4. He is electric for sure. His height is fine, but man is he skinny. I worry that he could have a lot of trouble against physical CBs in the NFL. Interested in what he weighs and what his strength is like at the Combine.
  5. When you say explosive, are you talking about instant acceleration and lateral quickness?
  6. I think speed matters some as they have Kincaid in intermediate range with size and hands and Diggs & Shakir have good hands, but aren’t deep threats. i also think 6’1” 220+ qualifies as good size (Leggette).
  7. Agreed, but is Xavier Worthy worth a late first? The one game I’ve looked at of his, he dropped two pretty easy passes and he looks ultra thin. He is absolutely fast AND quick. He will be a dangerous player, but can he play wide at that weight?
  8. He would be a nice pick if they take another position in round 1, but be prepared for the “40 guys” to not like him when he runs 4.5-4.6.
  9. He is tall and fast. I only watched two of his games at UNC, but he doesn’t seem very developed in terms of routes and other than using his straight line speed, I don’t see how he would get open in the NFL. There is physical ability to work with, but I wouldn’t want to count on him to contribute as a rookie.
  10. 6 of those picks are late 5th round or later - those aren’t worth much in trade up in early rounds. Von Miller was fine until he tore up his knee. Now, I wasn’t super-keen on paying big for an older player, but that plan was working until the injury.
  11. I know Legette has long speed - you can see it on tape, but his size is going to make it hard to have instant acceleration. I wouldn’t be too surprised if he runs a bit under 4.5 in the 40. If he does that, it doesn’t negate the idea that he is fast.
  12. Those 4 picks occurred significantly before the Bills’ 2nd pick. Not really a realistic expectation for the Bills to hit like that.
  13. 6’1” 220+ is plenty big for physical dominance at WR. He is within a hot fudge sundae of LB Terrel Bernard.
  14. Hopefully will get a3rd compensatory pick for losing Edmunds in FA last year
  15. That would be a pricey trade. Not saying it is or isn’t worth it, but it will cost at least their 2nd this year.
  16. Devonte’s Walker is having a bit of a rough time at the Senior Bowl. Difficulties getting open and dropping passes - I guess not too surprising that he might need more development than some others given that he played at Kent State until last season and then wasn’t eligible early in the year at UNC. I don’t claim to be fully able to evaluate these guys like Gunner and some others can, but Walker didn’t wow me in a couple full games that I watched.
  17. I like what we saw from Shakir this year - really encouraging- but a little early to conclude that he is the answer in the slot. I hope he is, but defenses will have film on him this coming season. Also, it’s relatively easier to find a guy who can be a reliable slot receiver compared to finding a guy who can play well outside.
  18. Likely gone before Bills’ 2nd pick and maybe a little high for him at pick 28. If guys like Legette and Walker continue to struggle at the Senior Bowl, maybe McConkey will pass them. McConkey’s size is borderline for outside, I’m less concerned about his speed - he looks fast “enough” on tape.
  19. Was that 44% only counting the games he played in? He did miss several games due to injury. Anyway, that is the point - Oliver and a rookie still would require at least 2 backup DTs, so they have to be found somewhere.
  20. I’m sure it’s a typo, but Fauanu isn’t a WR.
  21. Gonna still need depth if they take Sweat - he might not be able to play more than 50% of snaps at that size.
  22. He is intriguing with his great size and what looks to be very good speed. Still, where was he and what was he doing before this year? Of what I’ve seen, he looks very good to me, but let’s see how Sr Bowl practices play out for him.
  23. One of the reasons you pay big $ for a QB like Allen is the idea that he can elevate the play of those around him. Of course, that only goes so far - you still need some playmakers. But, they have only 1 DT (Oliver). Can they afford to re-sign Daquan Jones? That would help address that need so they don’t HAVE to find a starter at DT in the draft. Safety is also a very lean position. I think there will be more QBs than usual in round 1 and maybe not quite as many WRs, but there will be another run on WR early- mid 2nd. If the Bills want a decent WR, I think they probably have to take one in round 1 or maybe trade back to top of 2nd. I think the top dozen WR could be gone by 60.
  24. I think that as the draft approaches, some of the WR prospects will be lowered. They are easy to see flash play from so the start with pretty high grades. Likely Bills will have to dip down into players “rated” in the late 30s - 40s if they want WR. If they miss in round 1, they will sit through a run of WR coming off before their 2nd pick.
  25. I think it is a little optimistic to call Kincaid and, especially Shakir, “studs”. They had promising seasons that suggest that the future is bright for them, but one season of “better than expected” doesn’t mean they are locks to be stars. For example, Shakir’s strong 2nd half season would not prevent me from drafting another slot WR. I think the need for an outside guy is greater, but competition for Shakir isn’t out of the question.
