  1. DANIEL BOONE NATIONAL PARK TO BE RENAMED

On Monday the National Park Service announced it will rename the Daniel Boone National Forest amid growing controversy over Boone's fabled use of a ***** skin cap. This term "*****" evokes strong emotions in black millennials as it recalls painful memories of racial injustices they learned about in school and on TV, as well as woke white millennials who experience this pain vicariously due to their heightened sense of empathy and moral superiority.

A spokesman for the NPS stated "although the term '*****' in this context refers to a racoon hide, which was common attire at the turn of the 18th century, the term has also been used as a racial slur referring to African Americans, and serves as a reminder of our country's dark history of failing to adhere to 21st century western morality at a time when people believed in witchcraft. The National Park Service will no longer promote this shameful chapter in our nation's history."

The NPS has not yet determined what the name will be changed to, but proposals under consideration include "The George Floyd Commemorative Forest," "The White Privilege Wildlife Preserve," and "Beyonce's Backwoods."

Just because people can carry guns doesn't mean they should . If you have a gun get familiar with it you should practice with it to know how to use it to know what to expect yet some people just buy them to say they have them .

Then there are the dum asses that carry them to let every one else know they have them you will be first on the list to be robbed and your gun stolen (a acquaintance of mine did this)  because usually they just want to show off and don't have a clue !

    Good post.

For the most part I think every responsible law abiding citizen should arm themselves in order to protect themselves/family/community, just as they should have a fire extinguisher and smoke detector, but you're right, if you don't know how to use your firearm you might be better off without it.

Also, those who conspicuously concealed carry give gun owners a bad name. They're often the ones who feel emboldened to talk tough because they're armed. That's a good way to end up dead or in prison. When you're carrying you should always go out of your way to avoid conflict. As the fella says, speak softly and carry a big stick (or small firearm as the case may be).

Along the same lines, it's not wise to advertise your collection. When you get a gun you want to talk about it, but that's best limited to friends and family. You wouldn't want half the neighborhood to know you kept a lot of cash on hand, and the same applies to firearms. I used to think having pro 2A stickers on your car and house sent the message that you were a hard target. That's probably true, but it also sends the message that you have guns in your house and/or car available for the taking.

PPP needs to do a much better job of eating its own.  Years ago blatant stupidity was not tolerated just because posters found themselves on the same side of the political spectrum.  Today its teams.

Every time I check in down here I see things like #Plandemic videos being shared, claims that George Floyd's murder was a hoax and a false flag operation, blatantly racist sentiment.  This garbage flies by without scrutiny, without contest.  If someone has the temerity to suggest a police officer has acted with impropriety you have a feeding frenzy on your hands.

DC Tom would be rolling in his grave if he saw how Twitter is the primary source of information down here now.  People used to get blasted for posting wikipedia links.

Perhaps you could be part of the solution. If you see something you think is ridiculous call it out. No one's going to bite your head off.

See how many people want to protect their echo chamber?

This is a spectacularly revealing deflection that really encapsulates the essence of this thread, and is really a microcosm of our political media culture.

You can't prevail in an open forum because your ideology has become so divorced from reality that it can't withstand the slightest scrutiny. This is why cancel culture and censorship are so near and dear to your hearts.

Sadly, even with the benefit of left-wing intellectual protectionism across all major platforms you're threatened by a political sub board of an obscure football message board.

Guess I'm not leaving this thread so soon after all!

I'd say let's all post under our real names. That would change the entire tone online generally.

The sad truth of this statement is that cancel culture has effectively suppressed free speech to the point that people are afraid to speak their minds for fear of retribution.

I guess I've graduated to placement on the Global Ignore List. That's fine with me.

In my defense: I don't post annoying insults. And I find those annoying insult posters tedious. We get it. It's not that amusing.

I generally try to engage with arguments on the merits. If this thread is about "Don't mess with my echo chamber," perhaps folks need to ask themselves why they take comfort by being in an echo chamber.

It's not about political affiliation, it's about bad faith engagement.

We have a handful of posters who pollute the board with mindless spam that isn't intended to advance or explain a point of view, but simply to obstruct, annoy, or inflame.

Left leaning posters are generally treated with the same level of respect they show the board. There are a couple righties here that are quick to pounce, but for the most part if you come looking for a good faith debate you're going to find it. If you're looking to post baseless variations of "orange man bad" and "you're a racist" you'll likely be treated accordingly.

I can't think of one legitimate poster who's ever received the Tibs treatment on account of having liberal views.

I mentioned this briefly a few weeks ago and was surprised that so many had never heard about this. So now let me give you the slightly more expanded story of John Money, the man who invented left wing gender theory.

John Money was a psychologist in the mid 20th century. A pioneer of the idea that “gender” is something distinct from sex and it’s determined by your environment. This is taught now as fact in most schools and universities. But Money himself accidentally disproved his own theory.

David and Brian Reimer were twin boys. During a botched circumcision David’s penis was burned off. His parents learned about Money and his gender theories so they consulted him. Money told them to raise David as a girl and never tell him about his true identity.

The idea was that gender is a construct so if you construct a female identity for him, it should solve the problem. But David was a boy, and his boyishness came across very early. The female identity wasn’t taking. So Money tried to force the issue.

Money had regular sessions with the boys where he tried to reinforce David’s female identity. This included forcing them to simulate sex acts on each other. He also photographed the children nude. Money believed pedophilia could be a legitimate sexual orientation, by the way.

But David was still a boy. Eventually his parents had no choice but to tell him the truth. The harm was already done. Both boys went on to lead sad and damaged lives. David’s brother killed himself first. A few years later David followed. But really it was Money who killed them.

This is the man who came up with many of the concepts the left wing gender crusaders go around preaching today. He’s also the man who disproved those very concepts. Though he never would admit it, because he was an evil degenerate.

Money’s theories destroyed two children. And they have destroyed many since. We keep marching down this path. We pretend not to notice the carnage.

Should they have fired 7 bullets into his back is the question.

My understanding of how these situations are supposed to be handled is that you shoot to kill when there are no other options.

A couple of smacks with a baton would have ended it. Then again, he is black.

If this were the only time a situation like this had played out, I would want to know more. When it's a regular occurrence, there is something systemically wrong.

Before cellphone videos, I used to think like you. Cellphone videos have confirmed what we have been hearing from black people about employees of the government. They often lie about how these situations play out.

How many times do you have to watch a video of a black person being killed by a cop before you see there is a real issue?

That you believe the cop was in fear for his life when he shot someone in the BACK 7 TIMES is truly astounding.

Any person at any time who makes that move in that situation runs about a 95+% chance of experiencing the same outcome.

The fact that you guys are holding up a violent, knife wielding, alleged rapist who resisted arrest, walked through a taser, and reached into his car in the exact same way one would reach for a gun, as your poster child for victims of police brutality, speaks volumes about the legitimacy of your position.

  9. You see birds fall from the window ledge above mine.

Then they flap their wings at the last second.

I can see their dead weight

    Just dropping like stones

    for small loaves of bread

Past my window all the time.

    But unless I get up,

    Walk across the room

    And peer down below,

I don't see their last second curves

    Toward a horizontal flight.

All these birds just falling from the window.

Now due to a construct in my mind

That makes their falling and their flight

    Symbolic of my entire existence,

    It becomes important for me

    To get up and see

Their last second curves toward flight.

It's almost as if my life will fall

    Unless I see their ascent.

  10. When I was a kid my brother and I started a lemonade stand with the kids next door. I wanted to be the boss so we took a vote, but the idiots picked my brother, which was a huge mistake.

I wasn't about to let his oppressive management destroy the business so I resisted. In protest, I pissed in the lemonade, screamed at the customers, and burned down the lemonade stand. Needless to say, my brother's tenure was an absolute failure.

Only in your demented eyes would that justify the death penalty administered by an armed child in a scenario completely unrelated to those allegations.  Pro-death penalty = fake Christian.

    It's not a penalty, it's self-defense.

Yous should know that. As a matter of fact, you do know that. Yet here you are spewing this bullsh!t.

  12. Tim Pool:

Kyle Rittenhouse is a good example of why I decided to vote for Trump

Violent extremists were destroying people's lives for months, 30 people were killed

Democrats rejected Federal assistance every time Trump offered it

Media lied about Trump deploying "secret police."

Finally some kid from a nearby town, about 20 minutes drive, decides to go up and protect businesses and offer medical support o people, even the rioters

He was threatened and shot at.

Now the media is saying the 3 convicted felons, the extremists are the good guys

Several people died in the CHAZ and no one has been caught.

    It has to stop now.

Democrats have proven completely unable to do anything about it and we can't even get a full throated condemnation from Biden or Kamala.

Local Democrats have dont nothing and in some cases ordered cops to stand down.

The DA in Multonomah (Portland) is even allowing people who assault officers to walk.

NYC, Chicago, and Fort Worth have done similar.

This nightmare experiment in allowing violent extremists to attack innocent people needs to end and so far only Trump has shown willingness to do something about it.

DHS has target those they have jurisdiction over.

But Trump has NOT intervened in local affairs.

    Joe Biden Is A Coward.

    Hiding in his basement.

    ***** if I vote for that .

The Far Left is responsible for 32 deaths and Democrats quite literally defended this and called for more.

    https://t.co/6WGlkboMLn

They kept saying "protester" because they are gaslighting us.

These were protests for about one or two days.

I praised them when they happened

But for months its been violence and chaos.

I'm sick of the media lies about "peaceful protesters."

And I'm furious I had to wake up to see a man crying as he lay dying.

The Democrats have failed and it's time to let Trump stop this.

Even WI Governor Evers agreed and finally accepted Federal Law Enforcement.

    Trump has his problems

But he is better suited to fix the economy and deal with the extremists plaguing not just our streets but our cultural institutions.

Joe Biden is a Coward hiding in his basement.

I'll vote for the ####### over the coward.

Hoax.  The 17 year old with the rifle didn't kill himself.  So he didn't deal with the domestic terrorist in Kenosha.  Get your facts straight or the Trump Cult/Republicans will tell you to GTFO.  They only take people who tell the truth.

The fact that you support armed felons and pedophiles chasing down and attacking a fleeing 17 year old for trying to defend his employer's business says a lot about who's really in a cult.

  14. I'd stick my dick in a meat grinder before I'd give a dime to the NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLB. I don't give a dead fu¢k about football. It's a bunch of dudes I don't know playing a game that doesn't matter in the least.

I actively chose to care because it was entertaining, but I have plenty of other ways to entertain myself that don't include supporting the most depraved and destructive element our country has seen in generations.
