    The Cat’s Diary

    Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities.

However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He has obviously gone mad.

The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.

  2. Those crazy Tennessean's. Only surprise here is that the teen wasn't his son. My niece is a public defender in Tennessee. One of her first cases several years ago was a triple murder when a guy came home early to find his wife in bed with twin sisters. He grabbed his gun and shot all 3. I mean, who the hell goes for their gun instead of their camera?

Did you fall out of the plane or something?  😱

(We actually went skydiving a few years ago, pretty cool.)

I don’t like the experience, especially leaving from the zoo they call the Atlanta airport. Security lines are ridiculous and the plane seats are cramped, but I like to be able to go places so I suck it up. It annoys me much more than concerns me. But there is always a chance something crazy will happen. That’s life.

No "that was a close one stories." Actually skydiving is about the only thing that would get me back in to a plane. You're right, it is fast. You suck it up. I found that whenever I got somewhere all I did was worry about the flight back the entire time. Enjoy the destination much more without the worry, even if it limits the destinations. I'm not that hard to please, put a beer or glass of wine in my hand and I'm happy. Would like to see Paris though, maybe when I hit 90 I'll decide there isn't much to lose. Not that far off.

  4. The TPC being in Florida didn't shut down until the 12th. First they said after Thursday's round there wouldn't be any spectators allowed. Then that changed and everyone was called off the course, tournament cancelled. Those that finished the round were paid something, don't remember what. Those still on the course didn't get anything.

Telling people to ignore a pandemic because its a hoax is worse than what?? Huh?

Please, just stop, your idiocy hurts

Stop it. Saying it over and over won't make it true. Trump never called the pandemic a hoax. He referred to the democrat's politicizing the pandemic as "their new hoax" (the old one being the impeachment hoax.) That being said, he did attempt to downplay its severity. There is no shortage of bad handling of the pandemic.

    Here is the exact quote:

"...One of my people came up to me and said, 'Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn't work out too well. They couldn't do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, they've been doing it since you got in. It's all turning, they lost, it's all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax..."

If you watch Fox news, sure you would think that.

Trump literally said it was a hoax and people believed that and died.

    Duh!

I don't watch Fox news. Or CNN. Mostly NewsNation. Not that what Trump said wasn't bad, but the things Fauci said were worse. Shut the nation down. Covid vaccine is safe and effective. Masks won't do any good. Masks are effective.

Trump's attack on CDC has been the root cause of this disaster

Undermining the country, destroying confidence in science, for short term political gain. Sad

    What a mess!

Speaking only for myself, Dr Fauci had a lot in destroying confidence in science. CDC's handling of covid left it open to attacks.

I can’t believe you guys struggle so much with shopping carts. Just a bunch of shopping amateurs.

I am like a zen master at the grocery store with maneuvering my cart. I will also divert my plans to avoid heavy traffic area, leave my cart at a distance to pop through busy areas, strategically use end caps, etc.

maybe I can offer some lessons?

I mean, it really isn't that hard. Hope these folks don't struggle as much with driving.

I don't want to seem cruel or insensitive, but the guy was 95.........It should be of no great shock that he died at that age, by any circumstance.

Like, how much longer did anyone want for him to live?

5 years, maybe 6 or 7. Or was this a rhetorical question?

Elbert Dubenion didn't get a mention.  Was he injured?

That was a great defense, particularly on the line, but really at all levels.

yes, the announcer mentioned the Bills played without 2 of their stars, Dubenion was one of them. Played only the first 3 games of the season. Not sure if he got injured in the third game or in practice.

Do those in the middle of a 2 month paternity leave still have to provide the bullet points?

    Total bs.

If there's one thing any lazy-ass worker - federal government, state government, private company, whatever - does, it's check email, if only to make sure your boss isn't looking for you and trying to make a record of your absence.

Frankish does have a point here.
