If the bills lose to a team with their starting RB, WR, 2 LBs and CB out and a hobbled Tyreek Hill then they should embarrassed

I think fans need to reset expectations. Chargers had Qb1, Wr1 and2, c1 and 2, bosa all out. And almost lost. Dolphins can beat bills at home w their current t lineup.

interestingly after that game the bills players and coaches gave some bs “didn’t see or expect what they threw at us “

why not? Can our coaches not adapt and game plan on the fly ? Rhetorical. This is why they get beat in the playoffs. Far more worried about coaching and its effect on the bills players

Miller never came back from the ACL and now you look at it, why did they play him so early? Could have just left him on PUP and brought him back for the stretch run.

you know McD " i have faith in my players" blah blah blah.

I get what you're saying, but we have struggled against lesser offenses and allowed them to move down the field at will. I do think our D has been playing better lately, but I don't think this will be easy. Hill is still playing and Tua still gets the ball out really fast.

agreed cracroft , berrios and smythe and tyreke with achane can still put a hurting on this bills D. lot of speed , fast twitch good short and middle route running pass catchers

For those who don’t care to watch (probably a good idea), this is one of the first plays they use to demonstrate that Allen missed open receivers. Allen has three defenders in his face and he is blamed for not hitting Diggs. This is an INT waiting to happen as that defensive back has a great opportunity to jump the pass from his position. This is the quality of analysis.

PS, yes, there were a few missed receivers in this game, but context always matters (pressure, where Allen is within his reads and progressions, etc).

    Look at Gabe lol. Waste

The video reviewer actually says something along the lines of “on second thought, this is a good play by the Patriots. It’s a tough minus (for Allen)”.  Even he admits it’s horse crap to blame Allen for it, but he doesn’t remove it from the film…

Another from the video. Josh didn’t hit Diggs 25 yards down field, on the run, with two defenders about to pummel him. It was a scramble drill and THIS was used as an example of Allen missing an open guy. The analysis in the video was a joke.

I get that i’m an Allen homer but my goodness some of the stuff he is getting blamed for is wild.

Kincaid is wide the freak open. Come on. Doesn’t need to go to diggs way deep

We scored 48 on the dolphins in week 4 when they were healthy and the Ravens scored 56 on them. Now that they don’t have Philips, Chubb and Howard, one would think that we should easily score 40+ points on them again.

However, this is the NFL and that logic never works

    Bills 14

    Dolphins 12

Phillips and starting center and Jalen Ramsey didn’t play first game vs buf

DBs used to fear Allen beating them with a deep corner route - now they know he won’t throw it because it’s too risky. They have also stopped giving Diggs a huge cushion partly because Allen won’t throw the deep corner route and partly because Diggs is getting up there in age.

Yea we have no John brown / e sanders streaking on a deep seam either ….

we would carve teams up on deep passing. Crazy now.

I know I keep saying it, but it's annoying because physically he is MVP. He's probably the most rounded football player to take to the field. But when it comes to the mental side of being a QB he struggles more often than not. He chases the buzz of the big play, he fails to read defenses too often, he fails to take easy plays which often results in a missed play. He has so much potential and, despite the stats, there is more to be tapped. I think it starts with a focused close season.

Yes you see that shine through when Peyton is talking about him negatively on manning cast / or when Tom brady giving him advice on his podcast

I was asking a question still haven’t answered

I’m not going anywhere with it I don’t understand why you’re under estimating the fact that over the last month of football they are pretty much top 5 and top 3 in some catagories

this season they rank 6th in total defense

when they are top in the league yes you are going to have the problems we had yesterday.  It is what it is.

they were playing at a higher level their goal was to knock us out at home and they played great.

    tip

but I also credit the bills they won 20 points on offense that’s better than the average they gave up all season so shatever

no I’m not entirely satisfied but understanding the dynamics - I’m ok with yesterday

Peppers OUT on top of all their other studs. They had street FA back in secondary and we couldn’t complete a forward pass still. Oh and we’re supposed to be “Super Bowl contenders” with an “mvp” qb. That’s why

    Josh is overrated.

So many consider him a top QB or even "mvp" but in reality he's not at that level.

Yea that’s what I think as well. He makes a lot of wow plays. He also make a lot of mind numbningly bad plays. And he doesn’t make the routine play routinely. I think the last item is fixable.

I also think the bills have never been close to being a legit Super Bowl contender. Looking at the eagles , sf , kc , Brady bucs , la rams…….. those teams had NUMEROUS impact all pro players. BOTH sides of the ball.

we don’t / haven’t. Allen was all pro ONCE. Second team in 2020

we were/ are a historically losing / hopeless small market franchise that ascended quickly with an unlikely good qb

    it is what it is

I mostly remember fans making fun of and being angry at the Dolphins organization for putting Tua in that position more than anything.

Josh would then have a perfect game in the first round of the playoffs, and that's not an exaggeration.

Didn't feel like the line was doing as good a job getting space for Cook which he needs to be in peak form, Ty can do better with a bit of a mess since he'll run through people.

Falcons game was incredibly bad weather. Snowy but like windy sleet.

    yesterday was perfect weather

No, for some reason our WRs don't try to draw them. Underthrowing deep passes that the WR simply runs back into the DB for an easy penalty has been a surprisingly productive play for a lot of offenses over the past few years. I don't know why we are the only team to never take advantage of this. Diggs had one pass today that would have been a DPI if he had made an effort to come back and catch the ball, instead he just stood there and let the ball bounce off the DB's back. That's why I'm worried he has lost his edge. He is not playing with any kind of fire right now, seemingly just going through the motions.

Yea I see diggs did similar thing in chargers. He looks like a pouty B word out there. I think he’s a sociopath. I wouldn’t put it past him that he is subtly sabotaging / trying to make coaches and Josh look bad

  11. That was the worst game of Josh Allen’s non rookie year career . Dude couldn’t complete a forward pass for almost an entire half. Against BACKUPS! some in the secondary were street FAs…hard to be excited and hard to not be very concerned going into what is ANOTHER do or die situation.

he looks super panicky and jittery. Plays poorly. And in presser keeps saying he was just “off.” Mmmmmm whatttt? You can’t be just “off” vs division rival in crunch time at home.

20 points scored by this O with 3 short fields ?

    very very concerning

I think this is the biggest difference between this year and last year. Last year Diggs was playing at an all-pro type level. This year on the whole he’s playing as a middle of the pack #1 WR. Recently he has not even been that. Drops, not getting separation, not fighting for contested balls. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if we find out he’s injured and playing through it.

Gabe Davis is also somehow worse. I think Allen has stopped throwing it his way because bad things happen.

We just need weapons- we keep swinging and missing with mediocre players based off salary cap - need to draft talent period - just need to make sure we hit on that talent

Yes well we hit on Kincaid. But he’s yet still not the focal point. Everyone is to blame.

I think its Josh. Looks panicky in the pocket. Not going through his progression properly. From my untrained eye.

This. He’s been like this ALL season minus some stretches. Even raiders and wash. Panicky. Leaves pocket. And then is just taking WAY to long to make a decision and throw.

So it’s boiling down to the final playoff spots coming down to Mason Rudolph, Gardner Minshew, CJ Beathard,Jarrod Stittham, Jake Browning, and Josh Allen. Remember the that old one of these things is not like the other game.

Yea well. Josh Allen’s stats and advanced stats are pretty abysmal right now in the last 3 games so I don’t think the remaining afc qbs need to be looked down upon. Jake browning is impressive
