  1. When an organization has had its roots yanked out and completely redone from the scouting department, trainers, GM, management coaches and players it's natural that there will be resistance, frustration and confusion from fans. People are creatures of habit and there is comfort with familiarity.

These guys have the mandate to build this organization from the bottom up the way they they want to envision it. I'm not endorsing or criticizing their decisions until the final product of these actions play out.

But what I do endorse is the fact that they are doing it their way. No half pregnant approach, no melding of philosophies, this is all on them.

For too long we've had new coaches come in with tinkering of the edges approach. I always thought that in order to turn this organization around that wholesale changes were going to be needed to be made.

These guys may fail, these decisions may be terrible, but I will reasonably make my judgement after the decisions play out.

And what way is that ? it look like they are flopping all over themselves Lets take Vlad Ducassse , what scouting dept says that he is a credible guard? If you want to blow something up blow it up you don't give old centers 6 mill a year, when Groy was doing just as well ; You don't keep an old DT on his final year at 8 mil when the DL is just as dominate with out him.....yes I'm talking about Wood & K Williams you don't get rid of Reggie Ragland when you keep Matt Milano, Tanner Vallejo really did these two even play this preseason.... when a regime take over they need to have a winning templete. Carolina was a joke they couldn't draft a receiver to save their life and we suppose to think this receiver is the answer. I am to believe that none of the draft picks we had a year ago isn't good because Biily Boy said so. The couldn't keep talent is Carolina or you forget they let Josh Norman walk...There is nothing this clown show can prove to me they understand how to acquire talent. Talent wins not culture or if they were so worried about the 17 yr playoff curse they should have gotten rid of all players that been with the Bills more than 3 years they may be the part of the problem

  2. 1. We gave up a 2015 1st round pick and 2015 4th round pick to move up and get Watkins. He is gone 3yrs later and missed like 30% of his games.

    2. Cyrus was our 2nd round pick in 2014. He is an abomination.

    3. Our first pick in 2015 was 2nd round pick Darby. He is gone 2 years later.

    4. Our 2nd pick in 2015, 3rd rounder John Miller, is barely a starter and may get beat out by Ducasse, who is horrible.

    5. Our 3rd pick in 2015, 5th rounder Karlos Williams isn't even in the NFL anymore.

So to recap: We missed on our 2014 1st round pick; we gave up our 2015 1st round pick; we missed on our 2014 2nd round pick; we missed on our 2015 2nd round pick; we missed on our 2015 3rd round pick.

The 2014-2015 draft classes have set this team back at least 5 years. A blind monkey could have thrown darts at the draft board and had more success.

This looks more like this regime don't have a clue on how to acquire young talent. The goal is to add talent not picks especially when you have no experience at.... You think we needed to trade two draft picks for Zay Jones or two draft picks for the lineman how about drafting the smallest linebackers since the kelsay/schoebal days. Carolina has no good track record for drafting so I have little faith in this regime. Sorry but it looks like if you are 30 and over you have a chance to get signed or resigned with this group...... We are headed for dark times .... I cant wait for a competent GM and coachto finally arrive

  3. Trading up to take Sammy Watkins when EJ Manuel was your QB was a horrid idea.

Not only did he pass on Mack, but the WR he took wasn't even the best in the class.

I'm sorry, but Doug Whaley was nothing short of an awful GM who set this team back several years.

For crying out loud, look at the man's draft picks!

    Exactly Bang.

Buddy you are looking at an awful GM right before your eyes ........ Whaley acquired talent ......Billy beane drives it away .....fact is Beane and friends are showing you in real time what bad GM play look like .......Anquan Boldin seen this and decided to retire than go through this crap.......you do know we wasted three picks to get our tackle and receiver right. In a DB rich draft we get a pair of LB lighter than Safetys... we are going back in time to the schoeble /kelsay era of players to draft...........

  4. I disagree totally. His dumping of SW for a mere 2nd rounder, likely just to avoid looking terrible for not picking up his option and getting " something" in return shows his true colors. He's more concerned with looking good than managing the talent.

You have to know what your doing to manage talent.....this ownership along wit the GM and Coaching staff don't have a clue .......You never hire a coach before a GM. Ownership still hasn't learned to let the GM do their job not undermine him every chance he gets. They are getting what they deserved . I guess a good thing is that they look like him

  5. Well, to be fair, RGIIIs injury ruined him. Kap-we know what ruined him.

No I don't know what ruined Kap. , unless your talking about a person not standing for a flag because unarmed people of color was being killed for no reason by the police.. Is that what your talking about? If you are I will take Kap and you can play with pop-gun Peterman

  6.

....Jauron days?.....are you effing serious?.....that azzclown didn't even know there was an offensive side to the football....his pressers resembled Grandma's wake.......and now he's folding towels in the Lingerie League......this could be a NEW LOW.....Jesus.............

They are here my friend........... You can no longer hide behind other coordinators now.....Micky-D and Beane are being exposed for the novices that they are...The rest of league have taken notice they know they can fleece a 1st time GM and Coach. that was only hired because they know each other.........

  7. So in 1 thread we're supposed to believe Sammy wanted to be here because he said so, but in this thread Beane is a liar because of 4 plays between a QB and wr who needed to get on the same page and only had 1 quarter to do so.

Whaley was a liar at the press conference fiasco, but maybe only in his intent, maybe not technically in his words.

Name a player, coach, of GM that made a controversial statement and a good portion of people will believe they're a liar.

We like to believe people when they say what we want to hear or agree with and call them liars when they don't. Chances are, most of what they're telling the media is a giant shade of gray.

This is so simple.......... The league know we have a novice at GM and they are taking advantage of him. This front office is a joke and I see the problem is the Pelugas everyone they wanted turns out to be straight garbage..... Starting with sexy rex.....Hue Jackson thought he had the job before Peluga picked Rex.....who by himself destroyed a top three defense...........Now Jorden Matthew is hurt ........it wont be too long before the rest of our talent get plucked away. The league see our gm/coaching team don't have a clue

  8. I believe they have clear and concrete vision on what they would like this team to look like, whereas I never really got that feeling with Whaley. For me Whaley had an eye for talent but no vision.

Whether or not this vision will lead us in the right direction, well...... I suppose we will just have to see.

I don't believe they have a clue.....just based on this past draft trading three picks for a struggling lineman. What they both don't have is a track record of finding football talent....... They are the two stooges that only got their jobs because .......... What the hell Micky -d and Opie Beane is doing to the Offense what Rex did to the defense....that is destroy from with in to fit a system....... Sorry fellas this is a dumpster fire and the Pelugas are the blame you never hire a coach before a GM.........this isn't hockey

  9. Run every play to the left! But seriously give Dawkins some time. He has been busy playing LT. Also, of all of the OL positions I feel like RT would be easiest to fill in case we had to pick up a veteran later on after other teams make their cuts. Of all of the positions of need I think safety should be a higher priority than RT and I'm hoping they sign a veteran at that position

This regime gave up three picks for a person that cant beat out Mills ....... WTF Micky-D & Beane has no clue on football talent.........

  10. Now That's Funny....... You can hope for popgun peterman to suddenly gain arm strength all you want . The is the same peterman that couldnt hold his college position , Sorry he is a wasted draft pick. We could of had starting calibre Safetys / Corner backs drafted . This regime is a joke, Carolina drafting has been hit or miss for the past 8 years

  11. I sure hope there was no collusion with Carolina's Asst GM Brandon Beane during the draft. If so I would find that VERY hypocritical and I for one would not want him to become the new GM of the Bills. Talk about having trust issues!

He will need to practice on how to acquire talent because if he keep picking players with marginal talent ie: White,a second tier CB in a deep CB draft, when he could have Rueben Foster at 27 ( or trading two picks for a second tier WR and trading two picks for a second tier guard/tackle he and his rubberstamp GM will get run out of here fast as Chip Kelly who had far more credentials as a coordinator. I think we will get the 20yrs with out making the playoffs with this joke of a rubber stamp front office.

  12. Then we franchise tag him, which is only about $2 million more than his option would have been. The difference is that we don't have to decide on the franchise tag until after this season.

we will have to franchise him....Watkins see this dumpster fire not getting better for another 3-4 years ending with a new coach and GM. Watkins and Benjamin and Cam Wow this is what you get when you let a first yr coach try to play with personnel.

  13. Drafting a quarterback is really a crap shoot. Just because a team trades up to get you, doesn't mean you will pan out. Who is a better quarterback Jared Goff or Dak Prescott? Wouldn't it be funny if Mahomes is a bust and Peterman is the next Zak Prerscott. LOL The Bills are due to get some luck.

you mean the same peterman that lost the U of Ten QB position making him run to Pitt where he could be in the same system with no one to compete with?.... He is nothing more than a 5th rd training camp arm

  14.

I could see the OLine being better with the addition of Dawkins at RT, though there may be rookie growing pains. I could see the defensive line being better with a full season from Lawson and a focused season from Dareus and a return to the better fit of a 4-3. Everywhere else I think got worse or at best stayed the same:

CBs - Gilmore to White - downgrade, NRC gone, depth is a ????

WRs - Woods to Jones - ???? could go either way, depth is another ???

LBs - Zach Brown to Ragland - downgrade, can the linebackers play McD's scheme?

S - Graham & Williams to Hyde & Poyer (I'd feel better if we get Boston) - ???? Could go either way

    RB - Gillislee to ????

Yes, the coaching staff is bringing a more disciplined approach, but it's also a first time head coach and they are implementing a new offensive and defensive scheme, there are likely going to be growing pains. I don't think we'll go 2-14 (we never do), but it's a tough schedule with a lot of changes and a lot of questions, I can't see a legitimate playoff push right now.

don't for get to add the defense was 27th 21st 10th 10th and lucked up a ranked 2nd the past 5 yrs . Let the fire begin both will be fired by the 3rd season

  15. ...and I find it amusing that posters are saying things like "give them three years and we'll see" and whatnot.

Yes, it's McD's first HC job, and yes, it's Beane's first GM job (although he did serve as interim GM for 10 games in 2012), but these guys are hardly "green" and the Bills' roster cupboard is far from bare.

I will be shocked if the Bills aren't at least a 6-7 win team, and I certainly think it's possible they could win 9 or 10. This is not a rebuild, it's a refocus.

This is a tire fire of epic proportions . the focus is to the bottom 20 yrs not in the playoffs here we come

  16. Hiring a young head coach with no HC experience is what I hoped for all along. Don't want a retread guy, take a chance on an up and coming coordinator with high standards for himself and his players.

It's like drafting an QB, there are no guarantees and no perfect way to predict how they'll do at the next level, at some point you have to take a leap of faith.

So we did. And we believe in him enough to bring in a GM he wants to work with, that shares the same vision he does for this team.

McDermotts defense allowed more yards per game than we did last year, and that's a little concerning. But the man is impressive and that's what we're investing in. These guys can pull this off, I know they can.

So was Greg Williams ; micky d five yrs with Carolina defense 27 21 10 10 2 .......looks like middle of the road to me ........and if its found out that he only wanted to draft players that was in school for 4 yrs instead of studs he needs to never touch the draft again.....

  17. thats great! Glad that you enjoy basketball so much. Best that you free up your seats to let real fans watch the game anyways.

That's fine with me ..I need a good laugh at this joke of a front office Beavus and Butt-head ,,,,, if you got the 12K by all means take the seats

  18. I suspect people are sick of you talking about giving up your seats.

Two guys that will hopefully work as a team to put the Bills back where they should be. Time will tell how good these young guys do, but there has been a desperate need for continuity in this franchise for years.

then go to the hospital....... You mean two unqualified people that will be fired because time will show they are not good at their job... I give the two stooges 3 yrs before both get fired

  19. Started as an intern in 1998 and worked his way up. Got to know all facets of operation, especially salary cap (hope adios Overdorf), and pretty savvy from all accounts. Young and hungry.

and don't know crap about personnel Wow I guess he will learn that on the fly. Another weak hire first a middle of the road Defensive coach who didn't know personnel and now a yes man. THEY BOTH WILL BE FIRED IN 3 YRS
