  1. No need. It will probably be replayed the next day on NFL Network and at least 50 more times in the next couple of weeks...100, if the Pats* win.
  2. He should have no shortage of offers in the Buffalo market...
  3. Evil Empire* - 27 LA Rams - 24
  4. Mussina shouldn't be in at all but since he is, he should be in as an Oriole, IMO. Maybe he and Harold Baines can face off against each other in a pay per view event that nobody would give a damn about...
  5. He's a complete POS and the reason that this franchise will never win on a consistent basis, unfortunately. What this little weasel failed to mention is that they are recouping most of Cespedes' salary via insurance, much like they did with David Wright. That insurance money would offset a lot of what it would cost to sign one of either Machado or Harper. 'Fred and Jeff Coupon' say they want to win but care only about their bottom-line and maximizing their profits. They are an abomination and an affront to long-suffering Met fans everywhere. He's solid and did a good job for the Cubs over the last couple of years. He has a great K per 9 innings ratio but his BB per 9 innings ratio has risen and is a little worrisome. Definitely something to keep an eye on this spring. All in all, a good signing at $5 mil per year for two years. There is no doubt that, on paper, this bullpen is much better than last year's. My biggest concern at this point is the lack of a good stick in CF.
  6. You want Jay Gruden?? You're kidding, right? He's even worse than his brother.
  7. That's awesome. Your mom saw a great game for the Bills. My memory is good on some things, wish it was better on others. ? I think those plays stick with me as special because I was a kid and the Bills were far and away the most important thing to me. I watched all of the road games and listened to all of the home games on the radio. Some other "strange" ones that stand out vividly to me were from the 1978 season because that was my family's first in Virginia. I remember the Bills beating the Bengals, 5-0, and that they played Kansas City twice that year which was bizarre since they were not in the same division. Another vivid one for me also involved the Bengals the following season. The Bills routed them and Roland Hooks scored 4 TDs. I was walking around Kings Dominion amusement park with my family on a nice September afternoon dying to know what was going on...crazy what we hold onto sometimes. Thinking back, I don't know how I got by without cellphone updates, the internet, Sunday Ticket, or even just the ability to listen to the games on the radio or read every bit of Bills game info the following day in the newspaper once we left WNY.
  8. You are quite welcome, although I don't recall it being on a Saturday. Either way, it happened...or "didn't" technically since it was called back...but I witnessed it, as did you. I can't confirm your senility but I can confirm that play. ?
  9. I loved Tony Greene. To this day, #43 is still one of my favorite Bills of all time. It happened in 1974 and was actually 105 yards...would've stood as the longest INT return in team history had it not been called back on a bogus penalty. I remember watching that game on TV as a kid in Grand Island. Still one of my most vivid Bills memories as a youngster. Seeing Tony weave his way in and out of traffic on his way to the end zone was a thing of beauty. I was so upset when they called back that pick six. It was the difference in a game the Bills ultimately lost by 7 points. It also cost them a chance at the division. Had they won that game, they would've eventually ended up tying Miami for 1st place at 10-4 and the Bills would've been 6-2 in the division while Miami would've been 5-3. As it turned out, the Bills ended up as a Wild Card team in their only playoff appearance of that decade. BTW, Greene had one for 101 yards in 1976 against Kansas City which counted and still stands as the Bills all-time record. Wish I could've seen that one but it was a home game and blacked out so I only got to hear the call on the radio but it was still exciting.
  10. Agreed. I don't like the Pats* but come on...that was just a regular dude in a mascot costume, not a pro athlete. And did Adams know for sure that there wasn't a woman in that costume when he decided to "get a laugh"? It was a complete douche move and he's lucky that the injury was not more serious.
  11. I think just about anybody who plays fantasy football has scraped him off the waiver wire as bye week fill-in at one time or another. ?
  12. If the Bills take a RB at 9, I will issue a mea culpa but I'm stating emphatically that there is no way that they go RB that high. The previous RBs they took in the 1st Round were under a prior ownership, front office, and HC. IMO, if this regime follows suit, that will be a clear indication that they just don't get it. They're more likely to try and move up for an edge rusher (like Allen), stay put and take a stud OL or DL, or drop down to acquire more picks...all before they would entertain a RB at 9. I think this worry is much ado about nothing.
  13. Thanks for nothing, Andy Reid...again.
  14. Interesting to ponder but I didn't vote 'yes' or 'no' just because I believe it's a moot point with this organization. It's irrelevant what we want or think they should do. Color me surprised if they actually pursue him.
  15. Will I watch the Patriots* game tomorrow? No, but I will watch the Chiefs game...
  16. Mel and 'high' might belong in the same sentence...Mel and 'praise' do not. (BTW...FIFY) ?
  17. I understand that mock drafts, while fun, are largely an exercise in futility but...of all the pundits out there, has Mel Kiper ever picked the Bills 1st Rounder correctly?
  18. Yeah, he definitely didn't want to go anywhere. He said in his presser that he planned on this being his last year. I'm sure he didn't want to pull up stakes just for one more year, especially with a wife and school-aged children to consider. Glad he's back and at a good dollar figure for the team.
  19. Which is exactly why I was glad that the Jest hired him. I honestly believe that they'll be doing this again in three years and Darnold will be be heading into the option year of his contract. Gase is JAG, IMO. I listened to WFAN the day they announced his hiring just to hear the reactions. I expected a pitchfork and torch mentality but, OMG, it was even worse than I had imagined...everyone from the hosts to the callers were completely irate. They make Bills fans look tame and rational by comparison.
  20. Yeah, I know the drill all too well. Unfortunately, that's the 'hot take' world we live in now.
