Tua will never be competing with Josh, he’s just not on that level. The Dolphins team however will compete if they can keep Tua surrounded with all that speed and those weapons.

Tyreek is 3 months and 2 days younger than Diggs.  Of the top 32 receivers in the league, 7 are older than Hill, 6 are older than Diggs.  [Thielen, K. Allen, DHop, Lockett, OBJ, Evans, Diggs are top 32 older than Hill]. Father time is undefeated in the NFL. Look how quickly Smoke and Beasley went downhill.

I would say Josh can’t throw quick screens but the WR screen used to work well with John Brown. He had that sudden burst which made it work.

We have Isabella, who has elite speed, but don't use him.

  3. Re: Reid having 6 losses. - I think this is exactly what the league is trying to do.  They would be thrilled if 20 teams still had playoff hopes in week 18.  with 2 weeks to go they have 23 teams still alive for playoff berths, the "best" team has 3 losses, only 9 teams have 9 or more wins through week 16.

With the salary cap; the draft which rewards the worst teams; and now the unbalanced schedule, having all these teams in the mix, means sellouts in December and higher TV ratings.

Have to come out a lot more focused than they did Saturday night.

Chargers were a short week, long road trip.  Pats will be extra day, "normal" 1 PM game routine, last RS home game, and Pats on their second straight road game.  Think our guys will be very focused.  Knock on wood, weather looks passable for a 12/31 game in the OP.

Let’s just saw our WRs as a whole are just terrible.  Even Diggs has been a shell of himself recently- I think he is injured.

If our WR's are so terrible, we should be at the bottom of the league in passing stats, and we're not.

This. I’d bet Gabe earns top 3 money for all the FA WRs his season. Higgins and Evans will get more. And I don’t even know who else is available. But I bet he gets paid top 3. Definitely top 5. And let’s be real, Higgins is a 1. Evans is a 1.

Spotrac says he could get $13.5 AAV in Free Agency.  If he does that Diggs will probably have his agent speed dialing Beane.

The rules say they have to interview others so I think they will run a process. But Brady has to be the clubhouse leader.

I suspect Bieniemy will get an interview if he is interested.  He has a couple of rings, just saying.

  8. At least in 2023 - there is limited correlation between how much money you spend on the wide receiver room and how your team is performing. Of the 10 teams who spend more [2023 cap hit] than the Bills on WR, it looks like 5 of the 10 will not make the playoffs.  49 er's are 20th, spending $10MM less than the Bills, Ravens are 24th in WR spending, they spend half of what the Bills do on WR's.

I say do whatever you can in the draft to get a top wideout [esp with elite speed that can take the top off defenses].

Didnt notice but Kelce brother's brought that up with Edelman... someone please text the coaches and equipment folks... gloves should match opponents jerseys... duh

    Here's the league's glove policy.

    Approved Glove Color
    (h) Gloves, wrappings, elbow pads, and other items worn on the arms below or over the jersey sleeves by interior offensive linemen (excluding tight ends) which are of a color different from that which is mandatorily reported to the League office by the club before July 1 each year. Such reported color must be white or other official color of the applicable team, and, once reported, must not be changed throughout that same season. Players at other positions (non-interior linemen) also may wear gloves provided they are a solid white, solid black, or a solid color that is an official color of the applicable club. Gloves may also be a tri-color combination of black, white, and one (1) official color of the applicable club. Gloves may also be a bi-color combination of black or white with one (1) official color of the applicable team. Clubs are not required to designate to the League office by July 1, the color of gloves that will be worn by their non-interior linemen.

LOL  Well, they were favored by 2 TDs last night and they barely squeaked by an inferior opponent, so….

Who was coming off a mini-bye, Bills had a short week, and a 5 hour plane ride.  A study a couple of years ago showed the Bills with like a 25% win percentage when they traveled to the West Coast, and the short week compounds that.

Just because they are "no name" doesn't mean they aren't talent.  Benford and Douglas have both been playing very well this year, those two in this system are a position of strength expecially when you consider Taron.  So that's a strength.

Normally we would have Milano and Bernard, which would be one of the top LB duo's in the league, with Milano's absence, Dodson has been a very nice surprise from what we were all expecting out of him.  I would argue that he has been an above average off-the-ball LB in this system relative to other LB's over the past 6 weeks.

Floyd and Rousseau are a solid duo and when you add in Epenesa, Lawson and an improving Miller the overall strength and rotation at DE is above average in the league.   Oliver, Phillips, Settle and Joseph are as a whole around average with Daquan it makes it an above average unit.

The safety spot is aging so they can't make the plays they used to but are still able to make some plays but also add that cerebral approach that helps out the entire defensive unit.

Then when you consider McD has his finger prints all over this defense as a collective unit they play above their talent leve.

On offense, when you consider Kincaid and Knox as a duo they are a well above average unit.   Diggs is elite, Gabe is a below average #2, Shakir is a middling slot and Harty/Sheffield are regular quality depth WR's.  Overall the WR room is average at worst.   Allen is elite at the most important position in the game.  The offensive line is playing top 8 which means they are a well above average unit.

Cook is playing top 5 ball which means the  level of play he is achieving over the past month is at an elite status, and TY has been a very pleasant surprise and Murray has been useful in short yardage and blocking situations, plus you have Leonard Fournette sitting around waiting for his call.  Overall it is a decently above average unit.

The offense and defense have plenty enough talent to win it all, it's just a matter of putting it all together and when they do that they can beat any team in the league.

With Ty Johnson questionable this week, is this an opportunity for a Fournette practice squad elevation?  Thinking like we did last week vs. Parsons, go run-heavy to neutralize Khalil and also to attack their personnel change on the interior DL?
