  1. Summarizing:

    Douglas ---> Dane

    Davis --->     Sherfield/Harty or more 2-TE sets for blocking

    Rapp --->  Hamlin [?will we have to use 6 db's against Pitt? - 21st ranked passing attack]

    Dodson ---> Dorian or Spector or AJK

    Dawkins ---> Van Demark

    Still should be serviceable against the Steelers 25th ranked offense.  Wouldn't want to play KC without some of these guys.

  2. Realistically they should drop the fullback and add a 3rd WR, less than half the teams in the league carry a fullback.  Also only about half the teams run a 3-4 yet they have a nose tackle, even though nearly every team has a slot corner.

    Steelers are 1-10 all time when TJ Watt misses a game, including the Bills winning 38-3 last year in Buffalo.

    Yeah but their backup edge defenders appear to be decent [not Watt level], This game will be decided in the trenches; our OL needs to protect Josh and open holes for Cook, Josh, & Lenny; and our DL needs to shut down the Steeler running game, and get some pressure on Rudolph.

    The injury list for the Bills is obviously concerning with the four guys with names starting with "D" dinged up.

    The weakness of the Steelers is their secondary plays can be made on them. If the Bills play a clean game the Steelers simply can't beat them. It’s pretty much that simple.

    Steelers will run a ton of Cover Zero and try to get the ball out of Josh’s hands quickly Kincaid and Shakir should have big games in that setting.

    I notice that former Bill Levi Wallace is their #2 Boundary CB.  Wonder if he has improved since he left the 716.

    You’re both wrong.  McD fired Dorsey when the Bills lost to the Broncos to go to 5-5.  Brady is 6-1 as the OC.

    And that one loss was in OT, and we had scored but the D gave up a TD to the Eagles.  i think Davis was open in the end zone but not where Josh expected him to be [sound familiar] or they would have had a walk-off TD.

  6. This game could have been a blow-out similar to the game in Miami.

    I think we left at least 20 points on the field

    Josh first interception - 7 points

    Josh second interception - 3 points

    Mismanagement of closing play of 1st Half - 7 points

    Josh strip, sack fumble at Mia 28 - 3 points.

    IMHO

  7. Will be interested to see if the league fines Jerome Baker for the helmet to helmet hit on Ty Johnson at the goal line.  Ty was a receiver, and the play was in space, not in a scrum, have seen that called all season as a penalty.

    Key play: Alec Ingold’s cheap blindside block penalty  gave Miami a 2nd and 30 and derailed any chance at a drive.  Early 4th Q. Ended up punting a couple plays later, the rest is history.

    It was a dirty play, should have been called, one of the most common plays to cause injury.

  9. I read that Travis Kelce had a tibial plateau fracture his rookie year, and was placed on IR.  He seems to have recovered and played at a "fairly" high level.

    "According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Chiefs initially feared a repeat of the 2013 NFL season with Kelce. That year, Kelce, suffered a tibial plateau fracture that ended his rookie season before it even really began. He was placed on season-ending injured reserve during in October with that microfracture in his knee. "

  10. This entire exercise is a bit bogus.  They get a few right, but too many picks are based on past reputation.

    Obvious examples that jump out to me are Budda Baker, Montez Sweat, Deandre Swift, Patrick Surtain, Denzel Ward, & Minkah Fitzpatrick, are all having "meh" seasons.

    Also the split doesn't follow reality - The have essentially 12 defensive ends  and only 6 interior defenders, yet there are more DI than ED's playing.

    Josh is clearly one of the top 3 QB's playing in the AFC, Douglas is clearly one of the top 4 CB's by whatever measure you want to use.

    Sad that contracts are written with bonuses for what is essentially a popularity contest with a dose of reputational bias thrown in.

    There also seems to be no effort to "normalize" fan voting for "small " market teams vs. Larger market teams.
