  1. The dry-fit soccer knock offs I have gotten are good quality so no reason these football ones can't be as well, assuming these are similar material. We will see. But as always I suspect most people will be like you and pay the extra money to get the licensed product.
  2. That's 50 million beers man
  3. Cowboys Percentage of public financing: 28.6% The city of Arlington's sales tax was raised by a half-cent, the hotel occupancy tax was raised by 2 percent and a car rental tax was increased by 5 percent. Jets/Giants Percentage of public financing: 0% Bills Percentage of public financing: 100% Unclear where the money would come from. If they raised local, non income, taxes like for the Cowboys I wouldn't hate it as much.
  4. If ticket prices went up in order to cover the entire cost of the renovation that Mr. Wilson paid for in its entirety, then absolutely. But I am not ever in favor of tax increases, particularly state wide tax increases, to pay for a billionaires playground. Even more so since the renovations are not required (i.e. safety related). Actually I'd argue that they are not asking for the minimum. The minimum, as I would define it, would be the amount required to cover only safety related items. Which in this case I believe is about $200 million less than the Bills are asking for.
  5. You have a good woman there!
  6. A quick Google tells me that their 40 times were: Stevie Johnson: 4.59 Jerry Rice: 4.71 Is .12 seconds over 40 yards significant? I wouldn't think so, but for ranking purposes it would appear Johnson would rank as faster.
  7. Plus logistically there is a lot to consider in order to finalize all of the teams schedules. It isn't just a simple matter of Roger and the boys sitting down over a beer and deciding who plays when. No offense Roger
  8. Well some alcoholic a-holes have money too, so it's not a 100% guarantee. I have been in several sideline sections in the the 100's and never even seen anyone drunk that I can remember, much less causing problems.
  9. Compared to the actual licensed one. There are countless suppliers on dhgate and they are not all good quality of course. But the ones I have gotten, after asking around for referrals prior to purchasing, have been very good. Hockey as well as football. Safest way though of course is to drop the $$$ for the licensed one if exact is that important to you.
  10. If you get good (expensive) seats you shouldn't have any problems in the stadium.
  11. Been to many Bills games but none in any other stadiums. I'm not talking about giving a breath test or even a field sobriety test to everyone. They are already frisking everyone on the way in. Have the cop doing the frisking pull out people that appear intoxicated to another group of cops to do a sobriety test on them off to the side. If they are drunk they forfeit their ticket and sent on their way (probably back to their cars to drive which is another problem). Simple and very practical process and would not be an issue or a slowdown for anyone not intoxicated. You are right though, generally the better (i.e. more expensive) the seats, the less of an issue it is.
  12. Over $100 for a jersey to me is organized crime I know what you mean and there isn't a need to go down that path yet again, just couldn't resist making a comment when I saw "organized crime"
  13. All they need to so is enforce a sobriety check on the way in and when purchasing alcohol and 99% of the problems would be solved.
  14. Like everything else it seems to vary a little seller to seller. But historically the quality has been generally excellent. I guess we will find out once someone here gets some
  15. They are waiting for their manufacturers to have the new Nike ones available. I just got a message from one of the sellers and they are starting to get some Nike ones in. Big names first apparently, the first one he told me about was a Broncos Manning one. They are on the way, but switching from Reebok to Nike means a lot of reconfiguration for them too. Interesting too that now some sellers are advertising a "Customs Clearance guarantee"
  16. All of the control and profit with little to none of the expenses. Say what you want about Mr. Wilson, but he sure got the politicians (and by extension, the tax payers) in the Buffalo area to bend over and take it up the ass with this deal. Well played Mr. Wilson, well played.
  17. Alex Karras latest to sue NFL over concussions Just the tip of the iceberg I suspect.
  18. Not quite pointless. Your issue was making an already too long game even longer with more replays. My point is that replays is insignificant noise compared to the real culprit, TV timeouts. TV money is obviously necessary to pay the obscene player salaries. No way in hell just ticket sales for so few games could cover that. But they could cut the number of ads in half, and charge twice as much for them for example. Do we really need to see 10 Budweiser ads per game? Wouldn't 5 be enough to get their point across? That way the money stays the same but the game moves along quicker. That's just one example of going after the biggest offender and not worrying about the little stuff.
  19. I've seen convention center brought up a couple times. What the !@#$ would a huge convention center in Buffalo be used for? Who would be coming there? There is no point to having a big convention center without good hotels close and groups wanting to go to Buffalo for their conventions. No point building it to sit empty.
  20. Fixed. Up to date is irrelevant in my opinion. It just needs to be viable.
  21. The time replays extend games is insignificant compared to the TV commercial timeouts. Best game I have ever been too was a few years ago when a transformer got knocked out shortly before game time and there wasn't power to televise the game until the 4th quarter. Imagine if you will, a game where after each change of possession instead of watching the players stand around for a couple minutes watching the commercials on the scoreboard, they just went out and played. It was a beautiful thing. .
  22. I thought you are your mates in the Rockpile were the party deck PTR!
  23. If Mr. Wilson and/or the NFL is paying for it then I agree with you.
  24. I agree with you in that I don't think Wanny took full control of the defense. But I also think that as assistant HC he almost certainly (or at least should have) had input into it. How much, we will probably never know for sure.
  25. Typical fluff I've grown to expect from Gruden. What happened to him. He used to have balls when he was a coach. Now he either ball washes or uses a lot of words to state the obvious. Was getting neutered part of his MNF contract? I agree with some here who think the Bills should try and get a project QB, but not early in the draft.
