It is not unusual to see short term anomalies like this. But they generally smooth out when you look at a larger sample, like this has. Additionally, teams in the AFC east would have a better chance of this happening than non AFCE teams simply because of the fact that they play the Bills twice a season, every season. Bottom line, I know there is not a lot else to talk about right now, but this is a non-issue.

I sure hope you are right. But for now I'm still waiting.

I didn't like the Spiller pick then or now. This past season certainly did not prove the wisdom of the pick to me. Spiller clearly improved certain aspects of his game as the season went on, but his overall performance was not one of a first round running back in his second season in my opinion. I'm not ready to call him a bust (yet). But I am also nowhere near ready to call it a wise pick either. How many years until he realizes the potential?

Tough schedule???? Bills schedule is a gift from the heavens With the offseason additions and this cupcake schedule (yeah a lot of early games on the road, but look at the overall) the Bills really have no excuses at all for not posting an impressive record this season.

Not many in recent years. "uncomfortable and inconvenient" isn't necessary to change. Not saying it is a bad idea, just not mandatory. If it was deemed dangerous then it would be mandatory, not called "modernizing". So apparently the state disagrees with your assessment that it is dangerous. From everything I have read to date, no one is saying any of these renovations are required. Or did I miss something? If they are things that the Bills want for fan comfort or whatever and the Bills deem them as badly needed then fine, fund them with fan money. That's all I'm saying.
-
I don't think the point of the renovations is revenue. But I'm not positive because I don't really understand the point of these renovations in the first place. I see the word "modernize" thrown around and some seem to think its critical to keeping the Bills in Buffalo for some reason. But none of it makes any sense to me. It feels like a $200 million boondoggle. Bottom line for me is as long as it is self-funded by subsidies on ticket prices, concessions, parking, etc. I'm good with it. But since it has no bearing on fan safety, to me that makes it unnecessary. So I don't want any public money going into it at all. Not that my opinion on the matter amounts to squat

Just got a text from the Bills. Schedule on BB.com Tuesday at 7pm.

The dry-fit soccer knock offs I have gotten are good quality so no reason these football ones can't be as well, assuming these are similar material. We will see. But as always I suspect most people will be like you and pay the extra money to get the licensed product.

That's 50 million beers man

Cowboys Percentage of public financing: 28.6% The city of Arlington's sales tax was raised by a half-cent, the hotel occupancy tax was raised by 2 percent and a car rental tax was increased by 5 percent. Jets/Giants Percentage of public financing: 0% Bills Percentage of public financing: 100% Unclear where the money would come from. If they raised local, non income, taxes like for the Cowboys I wouldn't hate it as much.

If ticket prices went up in order to cover the entire cost of the renovation that Mr. Wilson paid for in its entirety, then absolutely. But I am not ever in favor of tax increases, particularly state wide tax increases, to pay for a billionaires playground. Even more so since the renovations are not required (i.e. safety related). Actually I'd argue that they are not asking for the minimum. The minimum, as I would define it, would be the amount required to cover only safety related items. Which in this case I believe is about $200 million less than the Bills are asking for.

You have a good woman there!

A quick Google tells me that their 40 times were: Stevie Johnson: 4.59 Jerry Rice: 4.71 Is .12 seconds over 40 yards significant? I wouldn't think so, but for ranking purposes it would appear Johnson would rank as faster.

Plus logistically there is a lot to consider in order to finalize all of the teams schedules. It isn't just a simple matter of Roger and the boys sitting down over a beer and deciding who plays when. No offense Roger

Well some alcoholic a-holes have money too, so it's not a 100% guarantee. I have been in several sideline sections in the the 100's and never even seen anyone drunk that I can remember, much less causing problems.

Compared to the actual licensed one. There are countless suppliers on dhgate and they are not all good quality of course. But the ones I have gotten, after asking around for referrals prior to purchasing, have been very good. Hockey as well as football. Safest way though of course is to drop the $$$ for the licensed one if exact is that important to you.

If you get good (expensive) seats you shouldn't have any problems in the stadium.

Been to many Bills games but none in any other stadiums. I'm not talking about giving a breath test or even a field sobriety test to everyone. They are already frisking everyone on the way in. Have the cop doing the frisking pull out people that appear intoxicated to another group of cops to do a sobriety test on them off to the side. If they are drunk they forfeit their ticket and sent on their way (probably back to their cars to drive which is another problem). Simple and very practical process and would not be an issue or a slowdown for anyone not intoxicated. You are right though, generally the better (i.e. more expensive) the seats, the less of an issue it is.

Over $100 for a jersey to me is organized crime I know what you mean and there isn't a need to go down that path yet again, just couldn't resist making a comment when I saw "organized crime"
-
All they need to so is enforce a sobriety check on the way in and when purchasing alcohol and 99% of the problems would be solved.

Like everything else it seems to vary a little seller to seller. But historically the quality has been generally excellent. I guess we will find out once someone here gets some

They are waiting for their manufacturers to have the new Nike ones available. I just got a message from one of the sellers and they are starting to get some Nike ones in. Big names first apparently, the first one he told me about was a Broncos Manning one. They are on the way, but switching from Reebok to Nike means a lot of reconfiguration for them too. Interesting too that now some sellers are advertising a "Customs Clearance guarantee"

All of the control and profit with little to none of the expenses. Say what you want about Mr. Wilson, but he sure got the politicians (and by extension, the tax payers) in the Buffalo area to bend over and take it up the ass with this deal. Well played Mr. Wilson, well played.
