Wilson! Murray! Smith! etc.etc.
-
Heres the thing.
On EVERY down, we play our back seven at least 5 yards off the line of scrimmage.
So when we do blitz, the whole stadium knows it.
That is not how you play defense anymore in the NFL.
You put 6-7 guys on the line and back out when you want to play coverage.
Wanny's schemes (yes I use the words loosely) are out of date.

And a meddling owner who is known to make his own personnel decisions. But, after all, he is the owner.
Is this based on anything? Anything in the past 5 years? 10 years?
-
He was leading with the top of his helmet. I'm shocked he wasn't penalized. I'm not saying he should have been for our sake, but I'm very surprised the referees didn't throw the flag on at least two occasions.
-
He just said he wouldn't consider defensive coaching changes.
-
Week in, week out.
Just run the ball on 1st and 2nd, and pass if it's 3rd and more than 3. I'm convinced this basic formula would lead to more success.
-
CJ Graham was WIDE open underneath on the interception. Throw the ball to him and the game is just about over! Look at the coverage your Havard idiot!
While TJ Graham was open, it's not what makes your post so funny.

I think what hurts so much is that we have so many of the components that take a long time to build. The lines, many of the skill positions. It's not so much that this season is likely toast, but that any sort of optimistic mentality by the team will be long gone.

I just can't believe it.
I know this is Buffalo football so I should expect it, but wow. They find ways to lose games they've already won.
-
I'd say one maybe both those drives that resulted in field goals result in touchdowns instead. People don't realize how big of a loss that is to this offense, but outside of CJ and Fred Nelson is probably the 3rd most important cog in the machine.
It's true, Nelson was a huge loss. I wrote "devastating" at the time, and I'm sticking by it. Regardless, how is our defense so miserable?

This game doesn't feel like we're only down by 1.
-
I have this feeling that we will all be expecting a round 1 QB, and Nix will take a WR or LB instead.
-
Let's say Landry plays well for the entire season. Does Nix use his logic of drafting players who have played well their entire collegiate careers (thereby passing on him)?
-
Seriously, are we done with this non-sense yet? Not a single quality game vs a good opponent in the last two seasons:
2012:
Alabama 13/27 184, 0 TDs 2 Int
Miss St 13/24 148 2 TDs 1 Int
Georgia 24/45 281 2 Tds 3 Int
Florida 22/44 257 2 Tds 2 Int
2011
Kentucky 15/38 215 1 TD 2 Int
Vandy 16/33 189 2 TD 2 Int
Georgia 18/33 251 0 TD 0 Int
Florida 26/48 288 3 TD 2 Int
Please, let's keep the first round pick discussion to Barkley, Jones, and Smith (who may be playing himself out of the first round the last two weeks as well) only and get rid of this Bray crap once and for all. Thanks.
Surely you're not talking about Landry Jones?
I wonder what the list looks like at the end of the year, and then after all the combine hoopla.

Kids in Isla Vista...
Still, doesn't excuse the violence.
-
It's time for the BIG GAME!
-
I have been scouting for a while, and I will say this: If Landry Jones is not the guy in Buffalo I would be disapointed. He is a great QB, and I see people dropping him. He is going to be fine
I sure hope we don't draft Landry. I'm game for Geno, Murray, or Wilson.
-
Call running plays.
-
I'd much rather play Locker.
-
I know most of the focus is on Merriman, but I'm glad we brought back Delano. I think he's a solid player with a nice future. Hopefully he gets some more playing time, but for now it looks like he is #53 on a 53-man roster.
-
Are you kidding? His look is 100 percent stoner. His eyes look baked even when he's not getting sacked 10 times in a game.
I disagree. Regardless, I say we package picks for Geno. Or at least try to. This is the draft to try it.
-
Merriman does not have to be a DE. He does not have to be a LB, either. I did not watch Sunday. Merriman can be hands up DE stacked beside or behind a DT. We showed some stunts last week, with Merriman maybe we can do the same.
+1 I was going to post the same, but hey, you already said it.
-
And the stoner aloofness of Jay Cutler.
Cutler does not strike me as a guy who enjoys the herb.
-
Wow. Didn't expect this, but I agree I think he was a good locker room presence.
Mario Williams is the cancer that is dragging this Defense down
