  1. Agree on 4 and 12 just don't know how the wins and losses will be distributed.

Of the 4 wins 2 will be very close games won by a last second FG

One will be a convincing win over a poor team

The other will be near end of season when a playoff bound opponent rests their starters.

Of the 12 losses, 8 will be solid drubbings.

2 will be poorly played close games against other weak teams where neither deserved to win.

2 will be heartbreaking losses to elite teams where the bills appeared to have outplayed them for 58 minutes and lost in the final seconds on some epic blunder (mckelvin return fumble, Johnson TD drop, etc)

Sorry but we've seen this script before

Unfortunately I can see this happening. I've always been overly optimistic about the Bills' chances too. If we sign some offensive linemen, I'm sure my homerism will come back.

  2. Levitre confirms LG rotation

Bills LG Andy Levitre was back with the starting offensive line at Wednesday’s morning walk through, indicating that’s where he’ll be for the Bills night practice tonight. Head coach Chan Gailey hinted that a split of time at the starting left guard spot would be taking place between Levitre and Rinehart. Levitre confirmed that after the walk through.

“We’re just rotating,” Levitre said. ”They wanted to see what both of us have to offer. We’re competing for a job. We’re going to be switching back and forth.”

Presumably Levitre and Rinehart will switch off every day to keep the reps as even as possible. Levitre, a two-year starter at left guard, admitted he was a bit surprised by the move Tuesday, but is committed to proving he deserves the starting role.

“I didn’t see it coming at all,” Levitre said of being bumped down to second team Tuesday. ”It’s not the greatest feeling in the world but hopefully that will bring some more competition out of me and make us both better players. I know that Chad (Rinehart) is a good player so competition will be good for us in the long run.”

Why isn't this competition occurring at RG?

  3. Vote for Marcell

The NFL Players site has a touchdown dance contest going on right now between members of the 2011 draft class and Marcell Dareus was a part of it. Buffalo’s top pick needs your vote!

Dareus along with Patriots RB Shane Vereen, Panthers QB Cam Newton and Chargers RB Jordan Todman all performed touchdown dances on camera at the rookie premiere earlier this offseason. So make sure you vote for Marcell.

Personally I think Dareus’ touchdown dance is the most enthusiastic.

  4. "Lineup changes

Torell Troup suffered a cracked bone in his hand in practice early this week and his right hand was fitted for a cast. He practiced on Thursday with his cast heavily wrapped. Initially he was not expected to play Saturday, but Gailey is now leaning toward having Troup play Saturday.

“We will evaluate that, but I’m more convinced that we will play him than not play him at this point,” Gailey said.

Troup has had a solid training camp, but the club on his right hand will prove to be an adjustment."

  5. - Flozell Adams - He is old-Dallas gave up on him but he was still serviceable last year in Pittsburgh-one year $2.5M

    - Max Starks-coming off injury - worth the risk of an incentive heavy 2 year deal -- $3M guaranteed with escalators that could double the total contract value to $6M

    - McKinney-call Rosenhaus today and tell him that McKinney will get a $500K bonus to sign today -- but by cut down if his conditioning is in check he will get $3M guaranteed or if not he is cut...This exceeds Drew's demand but puts the responsibility on the player to get in shape by the end of the preseason

    This.

  6. Per rotoworld/rich cimini

The Bills are reportedly making a "strong push" to sign free agent WR/KR Brad Smith.

Buffalo has filled the void with the Bears backing off, though we're not sure about the fit. The Bills have explosive returners coming out of the ears, and C.J. Spiller would seem to be capable running many of the same gadget plays. Coach Chan Gailey can use Smith creatively, but he's not one swiss army knife away from a winning team. Jul. 28 - 12:47 pm et

  7. I love how we complain that Ralph is cheap but a playmaker might be available and we better not overpay or get him on the cheap

Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa - I've never been one to beat that drum, Captain. My cheap comment comes from the fact that we have many speed guys, and it's not perceived as a huge "need."

EDIT: Regardless, it's good to see the Bills thinking outside the box, showing some life in FA.
