I've been criticizing the OL for, well, much of my long life. Yesterday, the backs had more room than I'm accustomed to seeing. That was great to see.
And I really liked the way Dorsey mixed up formations, personnel groups, and plays.
The line play was the crux to yesterday. Be interesting to see it against teams with more than one good DLinemen, going forward.

I can't shake the thought that Elam will have a successful career. I hope it's with us.

Flight from Santa Barbara to DC leaves at 5:15am Friday morning! Meeting 18 of my closest friends for a few days of shenanigans.
Surely we don't have a direct from SB to DC?

I don't think so. Bengals window is closed.
Windows don't close. They only "SLAM SHUT"

Even sherfield. He plays fast and strong.I really want to see more of Sherfield in the passing game. I know Gabe played well but I think Sherf has something to offer out wide.

Fade routes/throws on crucial plays are INFURIATING. Glad it's not the Bills pulling that crap.

Harty will come around I think. Although I also think they liked his deep ball potential and are now realizing chasing the deep ball will currently hamstring the offense (until things open up down the road)

Pats aren't an easy out. Shot themselves in the foot with turnovers past two weeks and were on the wrong end of zebras today.
I'm sure the zebras will settle their debt when we meet up lol

He's finding his sea legs and earning playing time. He does in fact look tiny but he has heart. That lowered shoulder on Jacobs late in the game was legit.

His play today may or may not not win MVP but it will win a lot of football games.
If he played all year like today he'd definitely be in the MVP discussion. Today was in no way pedestrian. It was just patient.

A lot of players deserve one so I'll be different and go with Dorsey.
Beautiful game plan. And Allen executed it to perfection.
When that first play was a handoff with cook up the middle out of shotgun with no momentum I had an "oh god" moment.
Milano was bonkers good

Excellent game from Allen. And I loved the use of Murray early on.

I think we'll see Cook run a little harder this week. There's no way that 3rd where he shied from contact instead of lowering his head and at least trying for the first wasn't show to him.
-
Does seem like the time that needs a run in real games but he's a man matchup right now and that seems to only be a speciality use case. Although he probably won't be up to speed if we chose to use him down the road for that.

I see VanDenMark being a thing before too long.
The new LB is active also
Would like to see Ifedi but I guess he hasn't been here long. Van Demark looked strong at LT but not at RT.

I think he got his bell rung in the packets game last year.

Deeply envious of their offensive coaching.

That said, I just watched hurts have what seemed like a solid 7 seconds of protection before ultimately running into a sack.

If we don't get a lombardi this weekend I'm effing done with this team

T.O. once said “That’s my Quarterback.”
Now that Allen is T.O. does he say that when he looks in the mirror?
Still trying to force this clunky moniker?

Dorsey and Allen are not a good match.

If I am McDermott I am having Dorsey put a leash on Allen. Need to rein him in a little for the betterment of his QB. Force him to operate more within the structure of the offense and take what is given even if it is checking it down. Dorsey needs to help his QB out by scheming guys open short and getting the ball out quicker. Give Allen some half field reads and move the pocket.
Right now Josh is just going off script and turning the ball over way too often which is killing the team.
Rinse and repeat since second half of green bay last year. Something isn't working with the combo of Dorsey and Allen.

Could also be confirmation bias on my part, as it was my #1 need and nobody seemed to agree with me. 🤷♂️
That's funny, I deleted an extra sentence from my last comment before posting. It was: I could also be biased, as my two biggest issues were OLine (due to glaring RT hole) and the Dorsey problem.

I'm not sure about that.
On the vast majority of lists of priorities I saw from people, OT was down well below WR, MLB, G, DL, RB.....
I mean I have to imagine you see more posts than me on here, but it certainly wasn't my experience. To not address MLB and the Spencer Brown problem were the biggest question marks in the offseason. Either way, can Ifedi be ready?

Can James Cook break a tackle, ever?!?!

I really liked Cook's game. I think the praise is a taaaaad strong but so be it. Hope he continues to show out.
I love Murray's running style and want to continue to see him EARLY in games.
