  1. I'm also an out-of-towner & had the same situation for a 1:00 game last year. He'll be fine with a 7:30 flight.

I waited until 10 minutes after the game to exit to the stadium then walked to my rental car. By the time I got to it, much of the traffic had died down, got to the airport in 25 minutes. We even had time to stop for food & still had an hour to wait until the flight boarded. I think I had a 6:30 flight. Buffalo airport is not crowded on a Sunday evening.

  2. I think people are underestimating just how huge not having Saffold on field is going to be. Josh makes too many mistakes? How many of those last year just happened to be on the same play where Saffold (or Brown) whiffed & allowed a free rusher breathing down on Josh before he even secured the snap? Adding 2 major upgrades at OG is huge. If we were a top offense despite that, I have a ton of optimism for our 23' offense.

  3.

That play calling would've gotten Dorsey fired at halftime.

We morph into a running team, but James Cook doesn't get a single touch? I highly doubt we ever feature Hines like that in a real game.

Our pass rush at times seemed oddly familiar at times, with nobody getting within 5 yards of Tua.

I LOL'd at Jordan Phillips getting injured & holding his shoulder while his arm dangles loose. At least one of the game designers watched Bills games last year.

No Kelly? Lofton? Simpson? Over the years we've had superstars depending on your valuing system. Maybe Cornelius Bennett just to add another.

Wow, I can't believe we almost left Ko Simpson out of the superstar conversation.😄

Got more credit than he deserved on a Buccaneers defense that was loaded. Went to the Raiders and mailed in his career.

I know I'm in the minority on Sapp. Just my opinion.

The Raiders made Sapp play 3-4 DE, which was a horrible mis-cast, correctly predicted by just about everyone when it happened. He was absolutely dominant as a 3-techique DT in Tampa's 4-3. Imagine Kyle Williams trying to play 3-4 DE...

Sapp earned his gold jacket IMO.

    Joe Namath

    Agreed!

Namath played 13 seasons, and he less than 50% completion rate in 7 of them. He had more TDs than INTs in only 1 of his 13 seasons.

His best season was 4,004 yards, 26 TDs, 28 INTs, 52.5% Completion.

Career completion rate of 50.1% does not belong in the HOF, regardless of era. Career 173 TDs with... 220 INTs.

Didn't perform the agility drills at the Combine. Wonder why. Hamstring?

A lot of the big X WR types elect to skip the shuttle & 3-cone drills, they're advised by their agents to do so when it's apparent their skill set isn't agility, and doing those drills will only hurt them.

Metcalf did both drills, and while he blew the doors off the combine in the speed, strength, & explosiveness drills, he totally crapped the bed in the 3-cone & shuttle. It's part of the reason why he dropped to Round 2. Calvin Johnson skipped both & he still went #2 overall.

  8. Watching his tape, he does catch with his body more than you'd like to see, but he also has a bunch of hands catches & high-point catches so he clearly has that ability. He just needs to be coached to not let the ball get into his body as much. Not a big deal IMO. A body catch is a whole lot better than not catching it.

He also played with one of the more inaccurate QBs in college football, and a lot of deep balls were underthrown, causing him to slow down & let it drop into his hands tight to his body. I didn't see many where the ball was out in front of him & he had to extend/reach to catch it.

If this is true, then it’s pretty sad if pro scouts get sucked into individual games. When you talent evaluate, you have to take way more into consideration than just great performances at random times. That’s to emotional for analytical accuracy.

You don't think they went back and watched every snap of the players they put on the short list?

Maybe the USC tape did initially put Kincaid & Dorian Williams on their radar, but I have no doubt they did a ton more work before grading them.

  10. TE is a steep learning curve for a rookie & few make much of an impact their first season. But looking at that list, the 2 who stand out, Pitts/Engram, are not true Y-TEs. They're technically F-TEs, but really just big WRs. Their learning curve is mainly route running, since they rarely inline block. Kincaid is in the same mold, he needs to learn the playbook & routes, he should be up to speed much quicker than a traditional TE would. He probably won't be working with Kromer on blocking, he'll be with the receivers.

He's not as strong as he appears. His bench press at the combine was very disappointing.

The 225lb bench press is really an endurance event for OL/DL who can move serious weight. I've known guys who could bench 450lbs but could only do 225 for 12-15 reps.

The combine bench press test for linemen should really be 315lbs for reps.

This is just flat out false. Michael Mayer had more yards and TDs than Kincaid. You guys are crazy.

It's actually not false. You must not be counting Kincaid's stats at U of San Diego.

    Career stats

    Kincaid: 175 rec, 2,623 yards, 34 TDs

    Mayer: 180 rec, 2,099 yards, 18 TDs
