  1. Both small, fast, and fragile.... playing styles notwithstanding. But lets hope this minor knee tweak is it for the year for injuries to Marquis.
  2. Goodwin reminds me of a certain ex-Bill little-frame guy receiver who never got going despite talent and mondo speed... but hung on for many years despite that. I give you Parrish 2.0.....
  3. The problem is that maybe Ramses Barden would be a better receiver, as a receiver, than Easley but we are more or less forced to keep Easley because Crossman is so poor at ST coaching.....
  4. Was he also Schwartz's ST coach in Detroit? that Schwartz fired, or anyway tat Schwartz could not get a good season out of?
  5. Crossman is consistently one of the worst special teams coaches in the game, his squads are below par every year. Now we will have to keep a guy or two just to help him out, so roster spots may be taken up by guys that we otherwise would not need if we had a decent SP coach. Short leash someone said? I think this guy has no leash at all, he is keeping his job, no matter what, through this year and likely beyond. it is a bit disconcerting, frankly. I do think the players we added will be a big help, but, if the scheme is a loser and the coach is not good, that will not be enough to solve the situation.
  6. whoever did it is responsible for the Kardashians being reality superstars today, and THAT is an indictment. I don't think that lawyer Hernandez got will breed the same type of kids, he is one sorry looking mutt.
  7. I forgave OJ for the double murder. After all, he ran for over 2000 yards in 1973 as Buffalo Bill!
  8. Yup. Duh... then it is just about the vaunted lease. Bye bye birdie.
  9. the Baltimore move was a midnight run out of town. They had NFL consent to do that? If they did, then the owners will very likely consent to a Buffalo midnight run as well, most owners want the Bills in a higher revenue generating town. Even if they say they don't care and the love Buffalo as an NFL town, they do want them somewhere else. Nature of humanity, they will all get more, they want it to happen. In some cases, very openly. Anyway, enough arguing over semantics, let us see where the Bills play in 2018. that is a good measuring stick.
  10. Nope, money seems to be the deciding factor in America. A lease is a piece of paper that can be argued many ways, by good attorneys. It is not meaningless, it spells out terms of payment etc., but it is just not that strong either, if one side wants to break it. No matter what it says, No-one will go to jail, no-one will be shot, if they abandon the lease especially if they pay the 400m. difficult to see then why someone cannot do it with high powered attorneys which they will surely have. Baltimore Cleveland LA Rams LA Raiders off the top of my head.
  11. using common sense and looking at many precedents of a) broken leases and b ) NFL owners leaving town and dealing with the repercussions on the other side. Mostly just common sense, though. Money will out.
  12. ok, not much I can say to you either. Capitalist country, most owners like Jerry Jones that want teams in big markets, damages that are pre-specified, if you cannot do the math, keep drinking the Kool-Aid. You are right, money would mean nothing at all against this bad-ass behemoth of a lease. I still postulate that in their heart of hearts every lawyer who reads this thread knows full well the Bills are under threat to leave within a year or two, depending on who the new owner is and how badly he wants to get out of town. EVERYTHING is about money, it is how much it will cost, and not if it can be done at all. But I am happy that at least one of feels secure that the Bills are in Buffalo thru 2020. Have restful sleep.
  13. I will take the legal team of a billionaire who is willing to pay liquidated damages over the legal knowledge and training of anyone on this board in a heartbeat. You in fact, are wrong, and silly, to think that money will not win out and get what it wants. legalese of the lease notwithstanding. I hope as do you, the Bills stay, But if they want to leave, I guess there is not a lawyer on this board who does not agree with me, enough money and they are out the door, one way or another. Correct, legal-trained minds?
  14. Assuming we get an owner that prefers to move, let us check back in 2018 on this issue. If Golisano gets the team, may be a moot point. If Bon Jovi gets it, they will be gone before the lease is up, cry all you want about the sanctity of the lease.
  15. They will take the team out of town FIRST, if they want to, then fight it out in court. And if they pay the 400m specified as the breakup fee, I just don't see the court getting too hopped up about it. Sorry guys, a lease is just not as binding as you seem to feel it is. Some legal hurdles for guys that have billions of dollars and have very sophisticated lawyers, to guide them thru, legal hurdles. Against some lawyers who work for state wages, and are not even that into it, as many residents will want to have the 400m to put into the community more than they will want the Bills. Not everyone cares. They will then donate a further 50m to pay for plastic surgery for Buffalo public school teachers (or hopefully to actually improve schools) and voila, resistance is broken. See how easy that was?
  16. Ok, Sure. Dream on. I hope they will stay but ALL leases can be broken and it is just a matter of how much it will cost, not whether it can be done at all. Legal Schmeagel. Money talks. Bills could easily be gone by 2015, all depends on new ownership and how much they want to get away. take off the blinders.
  17. Pretty sure Ralph said on many occasions that the team would sell to the highest bidder when he died. Very sure that f they want to move they will find a way, despite the difficulties. But stay positive!
  18. I would support a Hamilton team, it is close enough, and yet also close enough to bring the Toronto crowd and Toronto corporate money in. You can arrive in Hamilton (if no hassles at the bridge, where they are getting very intense these days, almost as if they are doing important work....) in less than an hour or so.
  19. I look at the depth chart and I am really surprised that they did nothing a the qb position. Jeff Tuel is 2 plays away from being our starter. That actually bit us just last year. For the rest the Bills appear stronger and deeper just about everywhere though.
  20. It was built from grade A concrete and high quality steel. Structurally it is fine, and it will someday cost almost as much to tear out as it did to put up. Like Robert Moses Parkway.
  21. really? how much would the Clip-joint be worth if still in Buffalo, with the local tv contract? the revenue is ridiculously higher potentially in other areas, that is the point I was making, and it seems pretty consistent with the facts. Maybe sub in luxury boxes for local tv contracts, but the point remains.
  22. if you really think it is impossible for the team to just move and deal with the legal after the fact, you are quite naive. It has happened, it can happen again. Heck they can move the team and simply pay the lease amount per annum worst comes to worst. It is a pipe dream that that lease can really bind the Bills to Buffalo. that said, I have great hopes things will work out and the Bills can be in WNY for the next few years or longer.
