  1. Cut Chris Williams (hes a bum) and call Wood to restructure his deal.... And sign Mathis. Would solidify this offensive line and give us some good depth.
  2. There has to be some major internal issues going on there. I dont think there has ever been this many young solid starters retire from the same team in the same offseason. Patrick Willis, Chris Borland and now Anthony Davis? Justin Smith was understandable, but the others are strange
  3. I was shocked to read about teams taking money to honor people who served our country a few weeks ago. I am glad that they may be stopping the payments. It's a disgrace that teams take money to honor our heros. They should be doing it for absolutely no cost. I always thought teams did in as a good deed.
  4. I wish DirecTV actually had any control over the NFL Sunday Ticket. Too bad its league produced who just provides the exclusive rights to DirecTV as part of their sponsorship. Im sure if DirecTV controlled the Sunday Ticket, they'd love to broadcast it and generate viewership and revenue. Anyone who thinks DirecTV controls the NFL Sunday Ticket, just does not understand the TV market and basic business sponsorship practice. (Example: just like DirecTV does not control what is broadcast on ESPN, ABC, NBC, HBO, AMC....etc.). So people complaining about DirecTV in this thread need to stop. This is a broadcasting decision made by the NFL. Simple. And those threatening to leave DirecTV, life isn't better on the other side. I switched to FIOS 7 months ago and its the worst decision I ever made. They offered a cool deal, I jumped without doing the research. Next thing I know I had a 2 year contact. FIOS internet is the best, amazing actually, never a buffer. However, the TV service is absolute garbage. DirecTV offered a much larger selection of sports channels, which I miss. FIOS has a horrible picture quality compared to DirecTV. DirecTV is actually starting to broadcast content in 4K now, which makes me even more pissed about leaving them. FIOS will not be offering that anytime soon. Im sick of the annoying FIOS advertisements on the channel guide. Then those annoying gadgets, FIOS has that randomly boot up when you're watching TV. Since I've had FIOS, they have taken away 12 channels out of my package. Then the insane amount in taxes that FIOS charges, how does FIOS have almost $25 in taxes, when I never paid more than $10 for DirecTV taxes? Oh and FIOS equipment cost are more than DirecTV yet the equipment is worse. I've had FIOS for 7 months and have replaced a box 4 times because of malfunctions. I had DirecTV for almost 6 years, I had to replace a box once. Sure DirecTV went out occasionally during snowstorms and heavy rain, but it was usually automatically reconnected to another satellite hub or rebooted within 2-3 minutes. I never had to wait 1-3 hours for the cable company to fix the problem, like I do with FIOS. The longest I ever remember DirecTV being out for was around 20 minutes. If snow built up on the dish, It was attached to the side of my house, and it took me 30 seconds to grab a broom and go outside to tap the snow off of it and it was working again. Not to mention DirecTV can still work when the power goes out with a generator, you can't do that with FIOS. DirecTV was hands down the better service provider (better quality), and even the customer service was more pleasant. Verizon might have the worst customer service of any business I know. The bundle is extremely overrated. All I know is I am paying the FIOS cancellation fees in August and going back to DirecTV just in time for football and hockey season. I miss my sports selection and TV service quality I had with DirecTV. I plan on keeping the internet with FIOS and having my TV service with DirecTV. Two of my neighbors and my brother just switched back to DirecTV and cancelled their FIOS service as well. I've been seeing alot of DirecTV dishes being installed in my neighborhood lately,
  5. Maybe, but seems like he meant something by throwing in his religion which clearly wasn't needed. I haven't really looked throw his whole twitter feed, but he is obviously upset from the few I saw, and sort of looks like the NFL has tried downplaying his injury and he isn't receiving paychecks now because of the issue of concussions and major injuries. However, at the same time.. I think players should choose one side. They complain when the NFL imposes rules to make the game safer then they complain when they do receive injuries and concussions that the NFL isn't making it safe enough.
  6. So just because a guy is voicing his opinion means he needs help? Or is it because he is muslim that he needs help? since you feel the need to throw that in your post..... Its pretty childish when someone judges someone based on their religious beliefs, ethnicity, or race. This is the 21st century, grow up. He is right, the whole concussion issue in the NFL is a major issue. Especially since the NFL tries to hide it and many other players feel the same way. He is just being more open about it.
  7. Im thinking its a typo and meant to say "in a career" not season.
  8. Very good special teamer, apparently http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Free-agent-RB-Montell-Owens-visits-Bills/f6f5f4ad-043b-4c1d-899a-78b175461910?campaign=tw_buf_article
  9. Chris Gragg has signed his rookie deal: https://twitter.com/Gragg80/status/332571887165128704
  10. I liked both Eric Moulds and Lee Evans. I strongly believe Evans was under valued by many Bills fans. However, Moulds was definitely a better all around receiver. Not even close.
  11. Hughes definitely played better last year than his previous two years because they switched defensive schemes that he fit into alot better. I think he is a good 3-4 OLB, and he will most likely be on a rotation here which keeps him fresh. I think both Hughes and Lawson are great pickups this off-season as both certainly have lots of potential and are good in the 3-4 defense. Not to mention the pickup of Alan Branch at NT, who has some good 3-4 experience and is alittle underrated. If Jerry Hughes continues to build off of last year and starts playing like he did at TCU, we got a good trade. I think this trade happened because both players involved need a new start and both fit their "new" team's defensive scheme alittle better. Pettine loves quick guys with versatility, and that's what Hughes provides. The only negative of the trade was that we lose a ILB.... In my opinion we now have two inexperienced starters on the roster (Bradham and Alonso). I hope we go out and sign a veteran experienced ILB who can step in if needed. It doesn't need to be a flashy signing, just someone who can play. Sheppard was very average here and offers very little versatility I think then we are only 1 CB and 1 ILB signing away from having a very good defense.
  12. Your reading comprehension is obviously not a strength? Where in the world have I criticized EJ Manuel? I am defending the Manuel pick. So I am really confused by that response. Its clear you are not willing to read entire post and your only objective here is to bash EJ Manuel instead of looking at the facts. Your assumptions are ridiculous and your "high school rankings are everything" mentality is even more ridiculous. NO one is denying Alabama doesn't bring in great recruiting classes. They have stellar defensive recruiting classes. And once again, the ESPN article you keep referring to is based on their high school rankings. If you actually read the article they even say the WR's HAVE NOT lived up to expectations. They say they're injury prone and inconsistent. Not to mention poor route runners and average hands in the college level. It's evident you're simply an EJ Manuel hater, so there is no point in continuing to argue with you.
  13. You do realize that supports my arguement and only weakens your arguement? Re-read that write-up. Also that article ranked the WR corps based on players rankings coming out of high school. Remember, Sam Young was once ranked the #2 OT coming out of high school (in 2006), then he was average in Notre Dame and undrafted. Bryce Brown was considered the best high school prospect in the 2009 class, he ended up being a 7th round pick. Russell Sheppard was considered the 2nd best QB prospect and 3rd or 4th best overall prospect in the 2009 class... he turned out to be nothing. Beannie Wells, Stafon Johnson, and Keiland Williams were all ranked better than CJ Spiller in 2006. I could keep going if I wanted to. In the end, high school rankings don't mean anything. Prospects don't live up to their rankings more often than they do. Stop making your conclusions based on high school rankings. FSU dos not have tons of weapons for their QB's, just look at how many RB/WR/TE's have been drafted out of FSU during EJ Manuel's time there. Also, its funny you have to resort to name calling. Thats what people do when they know they don't know what they are talking about. It's also funny how your the only one that agrees with yourself in this thread. Yet your calling everyone else a "sheep" LOL
  14. Florida State's offensive weapons are so good that they have NOT had a WR/RB/TE drafted (in any round) since the 2007 Draft (Link to all draft picks). Right, they did have Chris Thompson get drafted in the 5th round this year (first WR/RB/TE drafted since Lorenzo Booker and Chris Davis in 2007.... both of which didn't amount to anything). You make very little sense talking about all these FSU weapons they apparently have. In addition, FSU has only had 3 offensive linemen that have been drafted in that time frame (Zebrie Sanders-5th, Andrew Datko-7th, and Rodney Hudson-2nd). Then of course Menelik Watson in the 2nd this year. So NO, EJ Manuel was NOT surrounded with tons of offensive talent like you keep claiming. Yet RG3 and Baylor had a pretty solid WR named Terrence Williams drafted in the 3rd round this year (many predicted him as an early 2nd). Then how about WR Kendall Wright drafted in the first round last year? And you say Florida State has lots more offensive talent? Do your research and learn CFB before making ridiculous statements. In addition... Rashard Greene, Kelvin Bejamin and Kenny Shaw will all be drafted high as WRs? What are you smoking? Kenny Shaw is awful, sure he has shown some flashes, but he will not be a high draft pick. Kelvin Benjamin definitely has potential to be drafted in the 2nd-3rd round maybe the first based on his size, red zone threat, and ability to make big plays time to time. But before touting him as a "high pick" he needs to stop dropping balls and learn how to run routes. In addition he is slow of the line. Benjamin is extremely raw, he was only a freshmen last year. Rashad Greene is their best chance as a first round pick. He has good hands, speed, and body control. However, his strength is awful, he gets jammed alot at the line, and is an average route runner. I can see Benjamin and Greene as late 2nd round picks at the very highest, currently. To end it, NO way is Big-12 defenses better than ACC defenses. Your hatred for EJ Manuel is ridiculous and unbelievable.
