Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
boyst replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
i wonder what it was like to be a Falcons fans when Peerless Price went to play for them? or Alvin Harper to the Bucs? I remember Langston Walker Hype, and Terrel Owens hype here... but are we in denial to think Amani Cooper or Beasley 2.0 was different? -

We gotta revert to reverse psychology at this point. Having it shoved in his face isn't gonna work and make someone else overpay for him. Or worse yet, us overpay for him. -
What’s going on with Chiefs starting rookie LT Simmons
boyst replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Two things of note. One of the tweets says to forget he's protecting the best quarterback in the league. That's easy to do because that's bull####. And most importantly I really hope he is okay and everything works out because this is scary sounding. -
Hawes has been that good + after that big catch it was obvious that teams did not expect him to run like that. Hawes is a force and needs to be used in packages with 6OL + Hawes + Gilliam to power run. and to make it more about Kincaid and the overall dynamic. As i have been saying we are blessed with 3 very good TEs each with a different skillset. the problem is the Kyle Pitts mistake, as i think of it. Pitts is a good pass catching tight end but teams don't cover him like a TE. they cover him like a slot so he can't be productive. if he had to beat LB's he'd win. it today's NFL good LB's can still cover Kincaid and Pitts, and most safeties, can too without being bodied. so we have a TE who isn't fast enough or good enough hands to be a WR being labeled a TE for that very reason. that's why i like Knox as a TE more. he can block, he can catch as well as the average TE, and he can do the balance of work required. Hawes may have more talent than we realize catching and we have no idea how good his routes are or how good he is at exploiting open zones or finding seams.

I did not pick the chiefs. i don't think. i think i went with someone else because i could see the Chiefs being arrogant, cocky, and sleep walking. their defense isn't alive yet.

Yeah the office was a bit wild this morning. You know that smelling salt in the office vibe gets going and all those purchase orders, and delivery notes... That whole erp system had no chance against us. We conquered every ***** spreadsheet you could find. -

Well, we were passing smelling salter out this morning at work. -
Yeah it's kind of funny how that works in the mind isn't it? I could see us winning every single game remaining but could never ever conceive us losing every single game remaining? It just, well, it's just funny.

Would you want to see Josh play hardball with the organization?
boyst replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
These guys are just doing their job. Sure they get attached and drink the Kool-Aid for the corporation they work for but the end of the day it's still just a job to them punching in and punching out If these guys get the chance to play with another team later on and think they can get the money or the professional accolades they want then why the hell wouldn't they? I'm going to retire in 10 years, no joke. If my company came to me and said I could work part-time remote doing my same job for half the money I make I would do it. It's just a job to them just like our jobs are to us. -

Whether we rebuild the defense right now or next year the same will be true on these positions. We don't have any specific skilled players on this defense, not as long as Benford is in a slump. He is the only exclusive scheme fit player on this defense. At this point I would love to acquire Tremaine Edmonds next year with Jim Schwartz as a defensive coordinator. Milano may not be back, but Bernard moves to Will, and then we can move in Dorian Williams to make a 4-3 defense. Thompson will be here for depth, but may also go in over Bernard Bosa could fit the wide 9 and so could AJE. Rosseau is ?? And Ed Oliver too. But they're good enough. Theyd be fine. It'll end with safety and corner With JA yes I think so. Remember this new team that stumbled into the playoffs with Kaylin clay, Robert Foster, and Devin Singleterry starting -
Howard simon on WGR said Bye 8. Bills over @Panthers (5-2) 9. Bills loss Chiefs (5-3) CHANGE 10. Bills over @Miami (6-3) 11. Bills loss Buccaneers (6-4) 12. Bills over @Texans (7-4) 13. Bills over @Steelers (8-4) 14. Bills over Bengals (9-4) 15. Bills over @Patriots (10-4) 16. Bills over @Browns (11-4) 17. Bills loss Eagles (11-5) 18. Bills over Jets (12-5) 12-5 I think we match up well to the Eagles and can beat them. They are nearly our mirror. U wish that game was this week since it'd be a good drama. The team to prove they are still in it. I also could see the Chiefs struggling this weekend or next because they're not flawless. That defense has not done well

Week 7 Bye 8. Bills over Jets (12-5) 12-5 **Jeremy & Joe did the Patriots schedule and put them finish at 11-6 with losses to the Ravens, Bills, Bucs. The falcons game for them could be huge. I 100% think we match up ideally against the Eagles and pull a win out against them at home. Losing 4 home games would be abysmal.

Ty can be on the field the same time as Cook. in fact shifting cook or johsnon or both out of the backfield can create chaos. especially in a heavy TE set which we can run. 3rd and 3: Knox, Hawes, Johnson, Cook, Gilliam lined up in I-formation, Hawes on the right, with Gilliam has a right wing, Josh under center like it's a power run. shift to shotgun, Gilliam drops back off the line, Cook and Johnson go out wide, Cook to the right off line, Knox steps up to the line, Johnson goes off Knox. The snap of the ball you have Cook to run a leak route, Hawes set the edge to have Josh peel right, Gilliam stepping up to block, Johnson setting up a slide screen for a back end drop off if Knox doesn't get open he can lead block a smal lscreen... josh can just run or drop off the pass to anyone there is no innovation with putting our best talent on the field.

Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??
boyst replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
i just don't trust this defense and haven't since 13 seconds. last year against the chiefs it took us 2.5 quarters to get it right. it's a damn shame -
McKenzie was the best to run his mouth It's also interesting that so many of the guys brought back and nothing comes out. Phillips is a process guy, white was a process guy who talked but doesn't seem to now (job security I reckon) and Poyer was certainly one of the most loose and nothing is much getting out now.
