Let’s talk about this Drake “marvelous “ Maye 😅
boyst replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
those games? you mean the difference between: Raiders, Giants, Titans... vs. Texans, Chiefs, Eagles so, when you're a new england fan and discover football after seeing the team is over .500 do you just start running your mouth about ball knowledge or does it come natural as being part of what is basically drunk yankee redneck? oh and UNC is among the bottom tier schools like Ichigan.... the good athletes that go there are usually just really decent at sports but dumb as a box of rocks and can only get into the low end schools like those places... if they're smart they'd go to an academic program like Duke or a respectable school in Ohio. -
Beane's job is to make a football team, not pander to some soft ass football players emotional feelings. further, if doing this move can impact another team without truly impacting your team - than go for it. keeping slay off the Eagles roster may be a decent move since Ingram was not contributing. regardless, Slay is a soft ass chump ew gross so that's what those guys look like. makes sense they'reo n radio.

Darius Slay isn't a guy. he's a punk.
-
Anger sure but rough day (found out complete tear of meniscus...) still saying a tantrum to just retire vs going with the Eagles. Just tired of seeing the degradation of integrity.
-
i think Dalls is gonna make the playoffs but get bounced quick, but may win their first round.
-
the mindset is the same but the issue is that Phillips was a free agent when the Bills re-signed him after initially getting him from Miami in 2018 off of waivers. Slay doing this after the trade deadline and with a waiver wire then becoming upset with the result of his actions is something a child or imbecile would do... He has a 1 year contract. Let him sit on his arse in retirement collecting the rest of the money ($350k) for the remainder of the season because he retired. The Bills are now liable to pay him the remainder of his contract - I may have even misread it to be as much as $1.255mm... If he's going to have the chicken shiz to do something like that knowing he is going to get paid by Buffalo for retiring in order to avoid playing just to try to force their hand ... eff that guy. I am not forgiving that to let him get released knowing that no other team is going to sign him knowing the crap he is going to pull to avoid playing for anyone but the Eagles. Then Howie Roseman can wait until waivers are up and the guaranteed part of the waivers is over and sign him to a new vet minimum and avoid the cap hit - most especially with the Bills having to still pay the contract he retired on because he cleared waivers... then the Eagles do not have to pay him anything because any contract is offset by what the Bills paid him as the contract taken on from the Eagles. Literally cutting this Dbag enables him to go play for another team for free unless someone is going to get him on waivers - and thats not likely to happen after this. AGAIN.... THIS GUY CAN CHOKE ON A BAG OF ....and hopefully the NFL remembers this negotiating the new NFLPA contract so the league maintains integrity and does not turn into the nba

Phillips was a free agent and off of waivers. huge difference when it comes to the labor negotiations part of it.

i believe there is a period of the next day at a specific time to put in a claim, iirc. like if released today after business hours (4pm) it goes to the 2 dayday 4pm (like Sunday) to declare - making it usually a 3 day event. it's 3:26 EST - so if released this second i think it is 4 Saturday.

Game week thread - Bengals at Bills (flexed to 1pm ET)
boyst replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
QJ on this team may have been a bigger part and more succesful. i am not arguing the player as much as i am the position. we didn't need a TE and we didn't need a TE who can't block that combines with being able to not catch as much as a WR or run a full route tree. -
oh i get it. it's all about timing. right now there are a few teams that are propped up by their schedules and by their confidence. Carolina is one of them, above KC who is not a fraud just a not it team. The next tier of frauds is the Seahawks (where i think the Bills are at this moment but improving possibly), while the Patriots are the next level above with other teams. The Patriots are making the AFCC in my book but will get beat by the Broncos and most NFC teams in the playoffs.
-
KC beats Denver but Denver lets Chargers win to put Colts in the playoffs over Chiefs by strength. This is assuming Patriots lose to Buffalo, Baltimore or someone else and have 4 losses. But, both with 3 losses Denver holds the tie breaker for #1. Jags, In playoffs... Patriots over Colts Bears over Niners Texans over Jags Cowboys over Eagles Bills over Ravens Panthers over Seahawks Denver over Buffalo - Offense lit up by the defense Rams over Panthers - magic runs out for the Panthers Patriots over Texans - Stroud makes mistakes and it's cold Bears over Cowboys - steam ran out on Cowboys Broncos beat Patriots - Broncos have answers for everything the young Patriots try - final score 20-17 Rams over Bears - maturity and business win this in a route Rams over Broncos - Rams play business while everyone else plays football.

cooks wasn't signed by a team after goign through waivers than throw a little tantrum to be cut and go to who he wanted to go to...
-
and to be put on the active roster he has to be cut.... and go through waivers which means he goes back to the Eagles.
-
if the eagles want him they can trade for his rights. this dude chose to play in the league, sign his contracts... if he has no honor than f this guy. if i am Buffalo i say we will issue a statement where are happy to allow you to retire and never return to Buffalo too many of these dudes making their own fate while saying they are a part of the NFLPA and trying to pull stunts like this. this dude is owned. waa waa waaaaaa actions have consequences, sweetie.

I like this to Tyler eifert. He was gonna be HOF and light the world up ... But never did. That's how I saw Kincaid. -
How did you manage all that?

We traded up for Kincaid. A few more piicks gets us Flowers. Or Jordan Addison. Or JSN or Quienten Johnston. 3 of those would upgrade the roster for us instantly. We also needed LB which could have moved back and got Nolan Smith. We also needed CB, Joey Porter Jr. We didn't need a TE -

again, missing 2 games a year when he is to be a 1st round talent and positive to this team is the difference from 1st round bye to wildcard on the road the entire playofffs. -

7 games in an era where 1 or 2 games makes a major difference... 7 games over 2.5 years means he misses 2-3 games a year... two games are first in the division vs wildcard. i guess getting the girl home after the date is good enough for you... -

i'd be close to forgiving the pick but i think a WR would have got us further faster. -

BuT hE iS a PlAyMaKiNg DiFfErEnCe!1! Dude doesn't play. maybe he will pan out over the career arc in 3-4 years it'll be different but it was a dumb pick at the time and it is a dumb pick now. luxury pick that was wasted. just awful. it's great when he can make a big play and shows up to help win but when he doesn't play we are missing a major part of our offense. for those coming at me with the statement that we didn't know he would be injured.... that's not the point. the point is that we did not need the position. we needed a WR, a safety (contingency for Poyer and Hyde departure in this complex defense), and linebackers (remember, at the time we did not know if Bernard would be a successful starter and he was and is undersized). i'll never like this pick even if he goes to the HOF. -
If we could hold it together on the DE position we gonna get hot when it matters. Bosa can be snap counted until playoffs. Oliver returns earlier than we think (I think). Milano playing like he must when he must, Thompson being a factor. Dorian Williams playing a role position, Bernard must step up, safeties playing better, Hairston being ready for a late season push, and now Benford out of his fog...
