  1. Bills needs in rank of importance IMO

1 WR1 (#1 need far and above every other position- outside WR -seperation and mits)

    2- DT

    3- S

    4- WR2(seperation, route running, mits)

    5- Edge

    6-DT

7-RB 2/3 (pass protect, short yardage, mits)

So IMO we should draft skill positions on offense and devote rest of resources to D, so I agree most draft and FA capitial will go to D

  2. Can we please put to bed the notion of Tra being moved to Safety?  The position of Safety is like the name implies.  You must be a sound tackler being a Safety, because usually you are the last line of defense.  Tra was a great CB and lockerroom guy, but he is not a good tackler.  Benford is one that could make the transition, but I like him at CB

And if the ball wasn’t fumbled in the end zone after a fake punt with the score 20-17 in the 3rd quarter, would it still be about the offense? Or would it be just another example of McDermott having a lapse in judgement?  13 seconds of all things should have taught us that no matter how good your team is and no matter how well your qb plays, that one poor coaching mistake is enough to get you booted from the playoffs.  Don’t even get me started on aj Klein covering kelce or Elam riding pine when Rasul Douglas can hardly move or our healthy d line registering barely any pressure.

Poyer and the D made a play.  Who besides Josh and Shakir made plays for the offense?  And no one stepped up on offense when the game was on the line.  D stepped up when it mattered.

It doesn't matter what happened the first 3 quarters.

FACT- THE D STOPPED KC THE LAST 3 DRIVES

FACT- BILLS OFFENSE CHOKED- 0-3 LAST 3 POSSESSIONS AND COULD NOT EVEN GET A FG

FACT-BILLS WERE 76% FAVORITES WITH 2 MINUTES LEFT

keep blaming the injured D, the healthy O choked.

Give Josh the ball with 2 minutes left and down 3- I will take that in the playoffs every time.  But the offense failed.  Keep blaming D though

There is way too much invested in this D to fold in the biggest situations. That is what is holding this team back and that’s 100% on McD. They fold against the Chiefs in playoffs, the Bengals every time they face them and just about everyone else in the final 2 minutes of games.

The D stopped the Chefs the last 3 drives of the game, playing with 3rd and 4th stringers.

Bills offense was 0-3 the last 3 drives.  They could not even get a FG to tie.

Bills were 76% favorites on computer analysis when we had ball with 2:00 left- and the offense choked.

This loss is on the offense.

I think "high-motor lunch-pailer" is an unfair description of Cooper Dejean. He was state 100m champion in high school he is freakish athletically.

I am NOT advocating the Bills drafting him in round 1 though. I think he will be a good NFL defensive back and I actually think he can play corner - as long as it is in a zone heavy scheme - but if the Bills draft him in round 1 to play corner they are chasing their own tails for the Elam miss and if they draft him in round 1 to play safety then the positional value is horrible.

I want a first round wide receiver. I have wanted one for three years now. The only non-receiver pick I could see a logical defence of is a dynamic pass rusher. But late first doesn't exactly feel like the spot for that in this draft anyway.

Im OK with Cooper in the first if we sign a #1 WR.  The number one priority must be finding a #1 WR for Josh

    Graded out by whom?

PFF.  Von graded in 90s.  Oliver graded in 30s.  Seems right according to my eye test,

I saw Von with a few nice plays and pass rushes.  Once I saw Oliver chasing KC down the field- thats the only Oliver sighting

Aside from not addressing the INT caused by Mike Evans, the WR you championed in your post to which I responded (hint: you may want to look at Evans' drop rate), I'll address the blatant falsehoods in your post.

KC averaged 8.5 yards per play against the Bills and 6.08 yards per carry.  Is that good? Do you think that they had a higher yards per play or yards per carry against any other opponent this season?  Mahomes completed 73.9% of this passes...little to no resistance from the defense all game long, whether on the ground or through the air.

The Bills defense forced FIVE 3rd down plays by KC.  Only once in the past 25 years had an NFL team run fewer than five 3rd down plays in a game.  Is that good?

It was pretty obvious to most that the Bills game plan on offense was to grind out methodical drives, in an effort to keep the defense off of the field.  It became pretty clear that the offense would have to score every drive if the Bills were going to win the game, as the defense was going to provide little to no help.  Even McDermott acknowledged in his post-game press conference that the defense & ST needed to play better.

that is all fine and dandy.  The FACT is the Bills D had 3 stops on KC's last 3 drives of the game, when the game mattered.

    The offense 0-3.

The D gave the Bills a chance to win or tie the game 3 times, and the offense failed.

The loss is on the offense.

  8. I was talking to my brother after Chefs loss.  He said being a Bills fan is constantly being kicked in the balls.  So much so, we are like Pavlov's dog.  No matter our lead in the 4th quarter, we continually flinch like we are about to get kicked in the nuts once again, until game is over.  We are conditioned for being kicked in the nuts

if Kurt Warner can tell whats wrong within an hour of study it sounds like Bills should hire him!

You don't need to be Greg Cossell to watch an ALL 22 and see that  Davis, Diggs, Sherf -typically get zero seperation, especially playoff time

The defense is why we lost that game.  Atrocious and embarrassing performance by them.

Didn’t Evans cause an INT in the first quarter of their game against Detroit?

The Bills had 3 possessions at the end of the game that we could of taken the lead.  The D had 2 stops in a row, then Poyer's spectacular play got us the ball back a third time.

The last 3 drives of the game- 3 defensive stops by Bills D.  3 stops with the game on the line.

Offense 0-3 on the last drives.  They couldn't even kick a FG.

But keep saying its the defense's fault.  They balled out with 3rd and 4th stringers, and outperformed our offense when the game was on the line

  11. Diggs called out Josh, yelling at him on sidelines and TV cameras.  Yet some feel a Bills fan cannot have an opinion on Diggs, even if it's valid.  Its fine to bash Dawson(playing with a broken wrist) or Elam(playing with foot issue) or whomever the boards punching bag may be.   But I see a pattern of Diggs doing jack ***** playoff time,  and few say anything.  It's the emperors new clothes.  Yelling at Josh is horseshit, and unbecoming of a captain. Diggs wants accountability of his teammates, but he needs to shut up and look in the mirror

Why do so many people not care about Diggs? Disrespect him? Think so poorly of him?

Go to a game. He is on the field warming up with as much passion as anyone. He talks to the crowd, he makes the game special for many people - especially children. The dude wears his heart on his sleeve for each game and remains a higher end talent at WR.

I love Diggs, and he was great for us.  I love how he plays catch with fans.  But fact is he choked when we needed him most.  Diggs is not a stand up dude.  Josh is.

  13.    https://nypost.com/2024/01/22/sports/stefon-diggs-declines-to-talk-to-media-after-huge-drop-in-bills-loss/

Stefon Diggs let the game go through his hands.

And he then entered the offseason without saying a word.

Diggs, the Bills’ mercurial receiver, declined to talk to reporters after his big drop doomed Buffalo in their 27-24 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday, according to NFL Network.

Do not forget, the Bills tried to get Diggs going on first play on offense.  What did Diggs do?  He fumbled the first play of the game.

Diggs and Sherfield are the biggest reasons we lost IMO

Mike Evans had 12 catches for 147 yards and a TD.  That is what a real #1 WR does in the playoffs.

Diggs is no #1.  He is not even a #2 IMO.

Bills and Josh need legitimate WR 1 and 2 this offseason!

Yeah- I be shocked if he returns. Extend Douglas and roll with Benford, Dane (if he wants to come back for cheap) and elam.  If Dane bolts, he won’t be very hard to replace.

But tres cap savings is a must for a player that has on been good 3 games (due to injury) over the last 2.5 years.  If he wants a huge pay cut to take Danes role, that would be fine, but that’s unlikely imo

No team is giving Tra a big contract.  Im guessing he restructures for a team friendly deal

Yes but let's say Diggs caught that pass and we scored on that drive.

That means KC is still getting the ball back with a couple minutes left.... do you really think our defense would've stopped Mahomes?

    I don't.

The previous 3 drives, Bills D forced KC to punt twice, and Poyer forced a touchback.  Offense had opportunities to take back lead, but our WR not named Dalton and Shakir cannot catch a ***** football.  Yes that means you Diggs, Cook, and Sheffield.  You are more responsible for the Bills loss than Bass.  We are desperate for WR 1 and 2.

Who is more done- Diggs or Von?  Von will be better next year.  Diggs got worse game by game
