Really, NE didn't dump DB until the winning path was paved!

You think if NE fell short in 2001, DB would have been gone so fast!

DB is exactly want you want in a QB that is good enough to keep your team competitive yet, want to groom a young QB!

Honestly, if you could get into the heads of any DB team mate, I really think the fans would be in for a shock of their life.

The fans are just too impatient!

Drew was 0-2 as a starter in 2001. The winning path was paved when Marsha took over

  2. The Bills took a major step in confidence this year and losing the last game will make them hungry...but we have some of the elements to win the big one:

    1) A ball hawking active defense.  We need to get better on 3rd down--that is what separates us from being a great D.

    2) Awesome special teams whose main cogs are either signed for next year or in a free agent status that will cause them to be back.  The only thing lacking is consistent place kicks....

    3) Some of the basic elements on offense--but we still need a talent infusion on the left side of the line, depth at RB, TE and maybe WR.

    4) A quality coaching staff and good team leadership.

    We need to improve:

    ON D:

A more consistent pash rush on third down and better drop coverage on third down in the short to mid middle are the personnel things I think would make a difference.

    On O:

We need a talent infusion on the left side of the line, depth at RB, TE and maybe WR.

We need QBing that can win a few games a year--not just not lose games but actually be the difference in 2 or 3 games a  year.....

Other teams have a much longer list...this can be done in one off-season with our cap room and existing talent.  Some guys can improve to take some of these slots--Kelsay could be that pass rusher on third down and maybe Crowell is the drop linebacker--you never know...Let's hope they get to work.

Good post and thanks! It came at a great time. It pisses me off that every channel has the Pats celebrating. I am nauseus

  4. And he kept it moving, too, kept it rocking the whole time.  I could've done without Hey Jude (maybe She's A Woman instead, or maybe Jet?), but even that wasn't a bad choice.

Great halftime show. I concur with your two selections. Shes A Women would of been a great choice!

  5. I have the feeling that most of the people on these boards were . . .  aware of your dislike for me before reading your post. Considering that you haven't actually managed to refute any of the points I've made in our recent discussions--despite your pitiful attempts to do so--I can see why you'd dislike me. If I were you, I'd be jealous of me too.  0:)

Dont let Tom bother you. He should be jealous of you- you have social skills

  6. Conseco is the biggest scumbag in all of sports. He is truly a piece of sh--. I remember him being interviewed on Sportscenter bragging about this book. He was rambling about racism in baseball and that his book would bring down lots of people. He kept making these ridiculous statements then saying "it will be in the book". Anyways Conseco was very hostile and the interview was conducted while Canseco was at home under home arrest. Very credible that Jose Conseco is 0:)

  7. The meaning of the post is that a smart gambler picks his spots.  I can understand betting on key games during the season, but when you've only got one game, unless you see something special in the one game it's called unbettable.  Just because it's the Super Bowl doesn't mean that you have to bet on it.

I pick my spots and love this game. I bet maybe 4 or 5 games a year. I havent lost this year. Anyways it is fun to make a bet on the Superbowl regardless if you lke to gamble. I hate both teams but it makes the game more interesting. I usually go 20 times on the cointoss. Heads won 4 years in a row. Tails has won the last couple though

  8. Lots! Funny story. Well not really funny- pretty painful. I have dozens and dozens of squares every year. I have not won a pool since 1991. I won the final when Norwood missed the kick and have not won since. What a painful payout that was and I have been shut out since. Here are my numbers this year-they cost me between $5 and $20 a square

  9. Sure. Honestly, the recipe is a little different every time I make it.

The basic concept is to use Guinness whenever you would normally use water.

    - Soak dry beans (I use black beans) in Guinness overnight

    - Let beef sit in the fridge in a marinade of Guinness and powdered chili mix (or cumin) overnight

    - Add Guinness to the chili pot for reducing instead of water.

One thing that I think is important is to use a combination of cut up chunks of stew beef and ground beef instead of ground beef only.

After that, just use your imagination:

    - an assortment of fresh peppers (*a habenero or two, and several jalapenos, sweet Italians, etc)

    - a good dose of chili mix (I like Carroll Shelby's mix) or LOTS of cumin

    - cinnamon (a flavor that I personally like)

    - salt and pepper to taste

*Careful with the habeneros. Don't rub your eyes while chopping them. Some people even advise wearing rubber gloves while handling.

Serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheddar, and a Guinness (of course).

sounds great! My main chili recipe is on the TBD recipe page. I too love guiness for Chili but prefer Oatmeal Stout if I can get it. Other ingredients in my chili are strong coffee, cocoa powder, brown sugar, much other ingredients. I strongly recomend gloves when working with habenero peppers. The oils really sink into your skin and no matter how many times you wash your hands that residue will be on your fingers. I wear contacts and have suffered badly and had to throw out a couple pairs of contacts. You cannot beat the flavor of habeneros in a chili though! Nice heat and goes nice with sweet flavors

    Heres my chili recipe-

  10. Let the Jets get him. I would look forward to seeing Clements and company beat the sh-- out of that punk twice a year. Randy when hit hears footsteps and will pull up short on passes. Randy would pull a Pinkston when he faced our defense!

  11. I got 2 1/2 to 1 on the Eagles moneyline, and I'm half tempted to place a small bet.

Frankly, I like the over in the fourth quarter: 13 1/2.

    229878[/snapback]

All solid bets IMO. Everybody is gushing over marsha and the pats- it makes them ripe to get beaten. It is always good to be underestimated. Always be wary of the opponent with nothing to lose and that would be Philly. I love them today!
