2. Keep in mind that Teague is a free agent next year......

We are going to surround Teague with Ben Williams and Chris Villy.....who massive run blocking guys so Teague should actually do quite well this year.....

Meaning he is going to cost us next year....all the while the bills are trying to get Nate Clements resigned.

I think that first pick in the draft is going to say a lot on which way the bills are going to go.....if they go corner...then Clements days are numbered....if they go center.....Teague is here for one more year......

Good point. TD always drafts with upcoming free agents in mind. My guess is CB in round 2 and C in round 3.

  3. The Dayton Daily News reports that the Cardinals are looking to move up in the draft to snatch a running back and may be interested in Cleveland's No. 3 overall pick. Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams, both from Auburn, are two players slated to be available to the Cards in that slot-

Are the Cards gonna cut Shelton regardless? It seems the only team that wants him is us and that the Cards dont have Shelton in their plans.

  4. Malibu & 7up (diet 'cause I'm getting too fat) here

    299386

I love Malibu! I like Malibu and Coke and Malibu and Red Bull the best. I was at a local bar and the bartender grabbed a small glass when I ordered. I said- get me the big boys glass. He grabbed a pint- I ordered a malibu and coke and he said- is that what the big boys drink? LOL Not my usual drink- I am a Grand Marnier and Heineken man but I do enjoy a strong Malibu drink time to time

  5. I don't get the idea of Pittsburgh wanting Jones, which is usually accompanied with the reasoning that they did well with Randel El. That is precisely the reason they wouldn't take Jones IMO. They don't need another Randel El, they need a polished receiver to go with Ward and Randel El.

I haven't been following what the Pit folks have been talking about so perhaps they do like Jones. I'm sure most teams are intrigued by him.

    298345

Plexiglass was a tall, talented, lazy receiver who opened up the midfield for Hines Ward. Jones is taller, more talented, much more faster, motivated receiver that will open up the midfield much more then Plexiglass and enable Hines to have an even better year. Pitt-Plexiglass+Jones=much better offense!

I appear to swing down too- that is what I was saying when my teammates do the Tommahawk chop. I am not kidding- they actually chop and do the chant. I am usually laughing my ass off while I swing. I always swing even but it appears I swing down. I swing at must any pitch and I love the stuff over my head-I plant that stuff in the outfield somewhere. I am not kidding I swing even and drive that sh-- into the ground. My swing always looks like I am chopping down but I swing even every time but get mad wrist action. BTW I have never batten under .700. I can hit singles with the best of them. Singles and baserunners win softball games.

  7. one more hitting tip for you. If you follow the advice on my last post- keep your chin glued to your shoulder and your back elbow up, turn your wrists and drive your legs- you will line the ball hard. I like to set up for the outside pitch- I stay off the plate. If you try and pull an outside pitch it will go up the middle everytime. If you keep your shoulder up, etc- you will line it right up the middle. If you drive your legs and get good wrist action you will split the two middle outfielders. Try it out. Its almost a guaranteed single or more.

  8. "your stupidity and ignorance never ceases to amaze me.... "

...and your always quick with an insult. Was what I said incorrect? If so, please enlighten me?

    297292

How do you figure I get scalped with an American passport? Please enlighten me. I travel alot. I just backpacked Europe for 6 weeks. Who even knows I have an American passport? An American Passport helps you when you are crossing borders or going thru customs. It also helps you if you happen to get into trouble in another country. The only people that see my passport when I travel are border guards, train conducters, and hotels/hostels. All my hotels and hostels are booked in advance with the price already set. I book online and the price does not go up if I am an American. Border guards are more likely to leave you alone if you are an American and they dont ask for money. How do you figure we get "scalped"?

  9. If you are indeed the hitter you claim to be... congratulations. I retired from playing ball 12 years ago and it always used to amuse me how everyone that played softball claimed to be a 400 ft power hitter that just missed the majors. I saw one individual in 20 years of playing that hit nothing but line drives (that also occassionaly carried out). If you are truly in that class, you are an asset to any team. Most of the claims I heard, however, turned out to be so overblown it was ridiculous. Not doubting you, but the stories I used to hear would grate me. I always found that the new guy I wanted on my team would be the one that said... "just give me a tryout and you be the judge".

    297624

I am a line drive hitter that hits a few homeruns every season and I have never hit one 400 feet. I do put them out over the 330 fence. Everyone on my main team can hit a homerun. We bust on each other if we hit one with noone on or only one because we only get 3 a game in that league. We dont like to waste them. Sometimes though you line one and it carrys. BTW I do not hit the farthest homeruns on my team. Probably the third or fourth farthest. The best was last summer we were playing a game on a Friday night. There was a concert going on behind leftfields wall. My buddy hit a extra inning walk off homer over the 330 homerun fence and it shattered someones windshield who was attending the concert. We watched as everyone at the concert looked to see if it was their car. We know better to park behind the fence. Greatest homer I have ever witnessed in my softball career.

BTW when I bat my team does the Tomahawk chant- I always crack up! The reason I never pop up is I keep my chin pinned to my shoulder and I keep my elbow up high. I swing very even every time. If you keep your chin pinned and back elbow up you will line the ball almost everytime. Turn your wrists and get some leg drive into it and you will drive it. If you drop your front shoulder and you will lose power and pop up.

  10. No, because TD may still think that he could get the extra two out of the Cards and is waiting to see if Green blinks. He knows he can get the straight up and thinks he can get the extra two. Green may or may not blink and give in at the last second because TD is lying to him and telling him we're keeping Travis unless we get the extra two, whether that is true or not.

There is very little if anything that has come out recently that makes me think that isn't what is going on. Green is hoping TD blinks and says okay to the straight up before he blinks and says okay, we'll do the extra two. That is why TD continues to say we'll keep Travis and we're not giving him up without fair value, which we think is more than Shelton (again, whether he really believes that or not isn't known and doesn't matter, he is just playing poker).

What TD furthermore has going for him is being known to just walk away from deals. The Cards may well be thinking he is going to go for the straght up, but that fukker, he may just walk away, he's a stubborn bastard and we can't trust him.

    297056

Maybe Green comprimises and trades 3rd round picks thus saving a little face. I would do that deal.

PS Albany NY- I also much prefer your football posts to your political ones

  11. You just don't get it Pete.

Why not just catch the ball with your hand - run to the outfield and toss it over the fence?  Just as valid in my book.  All you are saying is that you are not strong enough to hit it out yourself with a normal bat.  You need help.  You need technology to do what your biceps can't.  Hardly something to brag about.

    297054

You just dont get it Scott. I hit them over the 330 fence with a Worth bat. Sometimes I use the Miken and they go farther-its show. There are both homers regardless- one just goes farther. You sound like a bitter pencil necked geek who cant hit it out of the infield.
