  1. It does bother me to Joe,

what kind of team would we have had if we kept TO(can't believe I'm saying that) and brought Mike Vick in, OMG, can you imagine what we could be watching right now with the Bills.

Not to mention the friggin media frenzy

    Dog,

I think Vick is a complete scum bag for what he did! That being said he paid his debt and it is time to move on..... And Yes it would be a high powered offense with a lot of scoring... Imagine If we had a pas rushing LB too, but I digress we are who we thought we were...

  2. Not sure anyone's noticed, but the Bills have given up the 6th most carries in the NFL this year and are still 10th in the league against the rush (YPC). This despite playing five defensive back almost every play vs. Green Bay and going up against a pretty good running team in Miami. Hey I'm just looking for something here...

IF we just had a pass rush.... But I agree the Run D has gotten better...

  3. PTR stands for Promo the Robot... e.a. his nickname?

I dont see us taking on that salary, however I would like to get him, but Marshawn looks good. Lets see how Spiller runs this weekend and then decide...

I think about once a week someone asks what PTR is, I think I may have when I joined....

  4. I can't believe I actually have something positive to say after yesterday's debacle, but the one positive thing I consistently noticed was the solid play of Bell. Not only has his technique improved, but he also seems to have filled out and bulked up and looks less like a basketball player out there and more like a lineman. Plus, I noticed a nasty streak from him yesterday for the first time. He was constantly blocking downfield on running plays, jawing with defenders, and picking up his teammates.

Anyone else see this stuff? Or am I nuts?

From what I could tell from row 50 he looked good. I am waiting on the Short cut to air on direct tv.... There was a clear let down in both gmes when Merideth was in....

  5. well, you could say Levitre is a great NFL player because Mayock had him ranked good coming out of college...

...or you could watch him play and see the results. at best, there was no dropoff.

which is actually "using your head"?

Yes there was he gave up a Sack....

  6. too soon

i would have given trent the first four games. and especially watching how piss ass poor our whole blocking scheme has been i ABSOLUTELY would have given him another game or two. not that trent hasnt been crappy but its just not fair to expect any hof qb ever to function behind what it honestly one of the worst oline performances i have EVER seen

hopefully this means gaily is convinced trent is washed up. i only say hopefully cuz if thats the case then better to just move on now rather than later. i would prefer trent be serviceable, and i dont see how we could make that determination yet behind this and last seasons horrendously poor oline/blocking schemes, but if thats what they think is going on then fine i will give them the benefit of the doubt

i just hope fitz doesnt do well enough to get us to six or seven wins - and out of the top five or so on draft day

I think this was way to soon... I think whoever is back there is going to run for there lives....

Trent running out of bounds in the fourth might have sealed his fate instead of chucking it...

  7. Take these phrases out of your vocabulary:

"they need to bench (current QB) for (2nd/3rd string QB)"

"we need to trade for (high profile player bills will never trade for)

    "our O-line blows"

"we need to just play lynch or spiller or jackson for the whole game"

    "we need to run more"

    "we need to pass more"

    "we never blitz"

    "we never throw down field"

    "where is the play action?"

"we only throw check down passes"

"why didn't we draft (player who is doing better with another team, simply because they have a better organization)"

"starting ANY sentence with: "if we just had, if we could just or if they had just one more..."

These are all excuses for the main, glaring, obvious problem with the Buffalo Bills. They have a 91 year old owner. Let me say that slower and more deliberately...they have....a 91! year old owner. Picture all of the ,if any, 91 year olds you know? They don't know what day it is, they cant even drive anymore. Yet, we have a man RUNNING A FOOTBALL TEAM IN THE NFL. He doesn't care anymore about the organization. In fact, I can bet he's napping right now. Do not expect a competitive organization until that man sells the team. When you're a player, Buffalo is where you go to collect a check for a few years with little expectations of winning.

So you can sit on these boards and debate what's wrong with the team blah blah blah blah drafting/coaching/QB etc etc etc, but it's all just WHITE NOISE and ignorance, if you don't look at A. the culture of the team and B. who's running the show. No one is at the wheel!!!

PS. I hope this QB change has you watching/attending games for a few more weeks! It's definitely going to change the organization for years to come.

Ralph does not prtect the passer or put pressure on the passer...... That is why we are bad.....

  8. Then how did he take essentially the same set of players and win 6-7 games a year? Scary thought. So far, I am unimpressed by Chan Gailey, and that's being kind.

I was thinking the same thing... The d was better last year, but the O is a lot worse off, and I can not understand that, Chan is sappose to be a great O coach...

  9. holy crap there is horrible ignorance in this thread. I think pretty much all but the disillusioned can agree that the past two games Trent Edwards has not looked good. In the few chances he has had, he needs to heave it down the field and trust that the receiver will get it.

On the stevie pick, Johnson needed to catch that. Even if he got laid out, he should have caught that. Andre Reed made a living out of the slant route where he got killed but caught the ball.

On the Roscoe pick, the Safety/ Corner cheated up as soon as Roscoe stepped back. Meaning it was a bad playcall. However, Roscoe could have held on to it and it was a bad break that it rolled along bodies instead of ground.

I was also add that Gailey is at fault on the play action rollout sack where Edwards got crushed by Mathews.

I will fault Edwards for indecisiveness when he knows that he'll get crushed behind the Swiss cheese line on the field. That ball just needs to come out as the receivers break and hope for the best sometimes.

They tried to set that up the play before and Mathews was all over it... I was shocked to see he tried to throw out of it.... That was a bad coaching decesion... Trent will always loose in that situation..

  10. That is not true and is a common misconception. Upon his death, unless Ralph specifies otherwise, the team would become part of the residual estate. A trustee would then control the team until its sale. A trustee is obligated under New York State law to work within the best interest of the estate. That may or may not mean selling to the highest bidder. For example, if the trustee, who would be someone close to Ralph or possibly his heir, were to say that it is within the interest of the estate and/and or Ralph's legacy to keep the team in Buffalo, then a sale to a locally owned group for slightly less than maximum value would be entirely legal under New York State law.

Thanks for sharing... I hope he just sets up the sale before he dies and that Jimbo's group will get it...

  11. flawed poll, no: I support it option.

    Bowery... And Dean

It is called a slanted scale or a directed response scale

That is to influence the response.

    much like:

    Excellent

    Very Good

    Good

    Just OK

    Poor

The response are skewed to the positive... Not a big deal but I did it on purpose as the fans at the gamed booed... And that is what I wanted to know and why? But I understand that you probably do't understand that...

  12. Couple of things from Sundays demonstration, First were you able to make through security to see it? Both teams went out on the feild like the Thursday night game and held up one finger...

Did you happen to notice POZ and Evans were late and realy did not participate?

What do you all think of this? I booooed, I think they get paid a lot of money to play a game, and this is not the place for it. And the Owners are rewarded for good investments or bad ones... I guess you could say the same about the drafting the team does...

    Thoughts?

  13. He had the wind. unfortunately not enough of it.

    PTR

Promo there was no wind when he kicked it... the flags were not moving on the goal posts.... If there was I think it would have gone in... Every one around me was talking about it... He even looked back at the goal post behind him...
