I agree with the OP, start the dialogue this off-season. IMO if the Bills defence lived up to it's billing this year the Bills would have easily been in the playoffs and the talk would be completely different.
This offence is only going to get better.

Outside of Buffalo scouting news. Sitting at Sydney airport Australia and there is a Redskin's lear jet parked up on the businesses aircraft tarmac.
Looking for the next Jaryd Hayne maybe.
-
Yeah just like we took those games when we played the PATS with Tyrod. Tyrod is 0-3 vs these teams. If we would have won those 3 games we wouldve played last week and maybe this week too. Tyrod is good but we needed him to be great vs these 2 teams.
The rest of the team needs to step up also. hard to win with a porous defence.
-
and that's it.
-
Need a quick TD drive after that field goal or it may get out of reach.
-
That's a better drive KC
-
-
This KC team is just not built to come back in a game like this. Pretty much over, unfortunately.
See how they adjust and come out in the second half. It's not Reids first playoff game.
-
Brady tries to act so tough for the biggest nancy in the NFL.
-
I just don't want to see a Pats vs Seahawks Superbowl. If they both lose I'd give up beer for the championship games.
Oh who am i kidding.
-
very Nice TT! MY biggest issue with Tyrod isn't his game.
it's the fact he likes ranch dressing with his wings. WTF?
Small price too pay for the best Bills QB in a long time.
Wait until the end of next season to extend him and he gets 20mil+ on the open market.
Imo
What! get him outta here. haha
If he comes out blazing next year it would be a mistake if he isn't signed to a long term deal before free agency starts. He certainly has the drive for a successful career.
-
All of that is definitely true. However, here we are with no spending money and a promising, cheap, 5th year, QB acquired in free agency.
Go figure.
I agree, IMO with a legit #2 WR, another decent lineman and maintaining balance this offence could be playoff calibre.

Rex's wife did this. I'm certain of it.
I think your right. If it was some random guy or girl there would have been charges or something in the news. The wife theory makes sense why he is so secretive about it.
-
Whaley certainly cops a lot of criticism on this board in hindsight. He put together a good roster and how many people would have picked Ryan would have the defence playing so poorly at the start of the season? also wasn't pegs and his wife instrumental in his hiring?
-
Is he even in Buffalo at the moment?
-
Yes, but he needs to sit for a couple of years.
-
Never say never in the football world. Coaches are as competitive as players and if the Pegulas offered him the job and no other offers were around I think he'd jump at the chance, despite any history with Buffalo.
That being said is still think Rex will be around next year and Dennis Thurman will be the scapegoat. I hope its a new head coach though.
-
I understand its a rule but why is it such a crime to start a thread during the game.
Not trying to be smart, it just seems like a small thing to get upset about.
-
I'd like to see the Panthers go 19-0, just to top anything the pats have achieved over the last decade and a half. Any future dynasty talk will be met with "well the Panthers went 19-0. Did you".
-
pettines d was ranked 20th and 28th against the run....ya bring him in here
He did make some of the best QB's in the league look like amateurs though.
-
-
If the Bills beat Houston. Pittsburg lose to the colts and new York jets lose to the giants e are right back in it.
-
sounds about right, should stay in another yr.
I love how every thread devolves into QB discussion, what are we gona do if we ever get one
My fault sorry op.

Watching the Ole Miss game and the commentators said that Chad Kelly may enter the draft because of his family situation.
Probably won't happen but it would be good seeing the Kelly name on the back of a Bills jersey again. You guys know alot more about football than I do, do you think he's skills would translate to the NFL he looks good at the college level.
Is it wise to grossly underpay your starting QB?

The truth of the matter is yes, as Bills fans you gotta take what you can get. I like many others have been hoping for solid QB play for a decade and a half, let alone great QB play. Unless there is a QB in the draft that's obviously better than what we have i wouldn't risk letting him get to the point of negotiating with other teams.
Sure Roman may have a lot to do with his success but he does seem to have a grasp on the position. He had some games that weren't stellar but no QB in history had perfect games every time they stepped on the field.
Just my opinion, I'm sure many disagree.
