  1. That is true. However, Nix's drafts have been progressively worse (I am looking at rds 2+). Granted 2004 was simply amazing (and somehow he passed on Losman in '04). 2007 Rnd Name College Note 1 Craig Davis Louisiana State 2 Eric Weddle Utah 3 Anthony Waters Clemson 4 Scott Chandler Iowa 5 Legedu Naanee Boise State 7 Brandon Siler Florida 2006 Rnd Name College Note 1 Antonio Cromartie Florida State 2 Marcus McNeill Auburn 3 Charlie Whitehurst Clemson 5 Tim Dobbins Iowa State 6 Jeromey Clary Kansas State 6 Kurt Smith Virginia 7 Chase Page North Carolina 7 Jimmy Martin Virginia Tech 2005 Rnd Name College Note 1 Shawne Merriman Maryland 1 Luis Castillo Northwestern 2 Vincent Jackson Northern Colorado 4 Darren Sproles Kansas State 5 Wesley Britt Alabama 6 Wes Sims Oklahoma 7 Scott Mruczkowski Bowling Green 2004 Rnd Name College Note 1 Eli Manning Mississippi (=philip rivers) 2 Igor Olshansky Oregon 3 Nate Kaeding Iowa 3 Nick Hardwick Purdue 4 Shaun Phillips Purdue 5 Dave Ball UCLA 5 Michael Turner Northern Illinois 6 Ryan Krause Nebraska-Omaha 7 Ryon Bingham Nebraska 7 Shane Olivea Ohio State 7 Carlos Joseph Miami (FL)
  2. another good summary. Buffalo: This is why Buffalo picks in the top 12 every year. Torrell Troup isn't ready to start. Alex Carrington is a bit of a project. They drafted a situational running back when they don't have much of an offensive line or nose tackle. How many games is Buffalo going to win with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Brohm and Trent Edwards? This draft was an absolute joke and this team isn't going anywhere. I encourage all Buffalo fans to riot at Bills headquarters tomorrow. This was a pathetic performance and we will see over the next two years why it was such a terrible draft. Spiller's occasional playmaking ability saves this from an "F" grade. Grade: D- http://walterfootball.com/mattblog100424_grades.php ---- i guess the idea is to punt on 2010, go after jake locker with the first pick in 2011, then go LT at the top of rd 2.
  3. trivia question name the last player chosen by the bills in the 1st round from clemson. its not jerry butler (it turned out far, far worse)
  4. I cant see it possibly being worse than this. 2000 Rnd Name College Note 1 Erik Flowers Arizona State 2 Travares Tillman Georgia Tech 3 Corey Moore Virginia Tech 4 Avion Black Tennessee State 5 Sammy Morris Texas Tech 6 Leif Larsen Texas-El Paso 7 Drew Haddad Buffalo 7 DaShon Polk Arizona I predict 4-12, winning 1 of the last 2 games and missing out on jake locker.
  5. A top pick is basically a done deal. Who do we go with? Jake Locker??? An offensive tackle? I got it - another RB !!! Mark Ingram!!!
  6. INEPT. None of the GMs had/have any idea of what they are doing. Here is a review how good teams are made, idiot. 7. i've been a fan before most of you were born. went to the 3 afc championships games. the 4th was in miami you know. completely sick of this team. arguably the worst drafts in the last 10 years of any team including the raiders. it is simply a waste of time to follow ineptness. or think that somehow it will turn around the nfl formula in order: 1. Great QB. 2. Protect the QB. 3. Attack the QB. what do we have. certainly not 1, although we had 2 shots at the top ranked QB according to many #2? LOLOL maybe improved 3. whatever. i can guarantee the bills will be choosing top 10 for the next 5 years. enjoy!!!!!!
  8. if you knew you were taking spiller (they made the pick 10 seconds after the previous, + no one projected spiller to go higher), would it have made sense to trade lynch beforehand, when he had some trade value instead of being part of a 3 headed monster ??? just wondering.
  9. worst draft ever. both broadcasting and the bills draft picks. at least the nfl network coverage was good.
  10. despite being a fan for 30 years, its fairly obvious the bills are completely inept as an organization. completely. inept. i honestly dont know how i can support/follow them anymore.
  11. In general I agree with trading down, although for the most part, #11s of years past have been very successful (so I dont agree with 'its not high enough'): 2007 - patrick willis 2006 - jay cutler 2005 - demarcus ware 2004 - ben rothlisberger 2003 - marcus trufant 2002 - dwight freeney 2001 - dan morgan 2000 - ron dayne (!) 1999 - dante culpepper
  12. I'd trade a 4th for scheffler in a heartbeat. Sure there are a lot of TEs in the draft but those are the proverbially crapshoot.
  13. 'in many ways, responsible'?? He is fully responsible for his own problems. No one made him have sex with all those women. That was his and their choice - he knew what could happen. One would think after number, say 4 or 5, he might catch on. He needs to deal with it, not play a victim. Why are 'feelings' more important than one's behavior? Whatever happened to personal responsibility? And there is nothing funnier than liberals lecturing about religion.
  14. Typical NYT liberal trash - turns a deadbeat dad into a 'victim'.
