  1. Oh it definitely is. Especially with the Bills having the lowest ticket prices in the league, so that's not the issue. But aside from the 6-3 slobberknocker against Cleveland, can you think of any game you'd rather avoid for the rest of this season than Bills/Jags? This one won't be coming down to an idiot play by Nate Clements in the final seconds...
  2. Absolutely not.
  3. I would love Cowher. He would have total control. I want nothing to do with most of the rest of your list, though (the NFL guys, at least - don't know enough about the college guys). Gruden ruined Dungy's great Tampa Bay team after that first season. I think the game has passed Holmgren by (or it will soon), and I couldn't stand watching the Seahawks play under him - so ugly. I've never seen a team run so many quick curls from the trips formation. Schottenheimer would be an excellent coach if he wasn't such a horrendous game-day coach, especially in the playoffs. He helped build a monster in SD just to piss it all away when the playoffs came around. And I would like Shanahan too, although his defense was horrendous the past few seasons. At least Josh McDaniels knew to bring Mike Nolan in for defense. I don't have the same faith in Perry Fewell or the cover 2 scheme we run.
  4. Do we have to sit next to you and listen to you whine about your fears of the Bills moving? If so, that will cost you extra.
  5. Why is this even being debated? Just check the official power rankings!! http://spammingjackass.com/football/official-nfl...nkings-week-11/
  6. Uhh, Bruce Smith had 6.5 sacks as a rookie. If Maybin gets 6.5 sacks this season I'll give you my house.
  7. I told you... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...p;#entry1598001
  8. I've been shouting "the ballhawk!" every time I see Byrd make any sort of play, no matter how meaningless. I've been wondering why, too. And yes, I think Byrd/Whitner is the goal, and now that Byrd is (or should be, at least) all caught up on the plays with all that missed time, I would imagine he'll be starting - or at least seeing some significant playing time - at FS. I think Whitner is more of a SS anyway, and I'm glad we finally admitted it when drafting Byrd. Scott never seemed like starting material to me, although he's great depth to have. Finally we can ignore the secondary (laugh if you want to - we both know it won't happen, but a man can dream) in the 2010 draft. LB's, pass-rushing DE (I still think Maybin's a bust), depth on the OL...and maybe a QB, unfortunately.
  9. haha...I'm way too lazy to do that right now. But you're right... Not saying you're wrong, but let's just call it what it is. It doesn't help that he's irrelevant in the passing game (don't know if it's his fault, Trent's, or the coaches') and that he hasn't done **** returning kicks this year. Those three lost fumbles in five games doesn't help either...
  10. I love how people continue to say that Roscoe's salary is $4M/year. Just because his cap number is $4M doesn't mean that's his salary. The bonus has already been paid and cannot be recouped. Not sure why we have to go over this every few months. I guess if you say something often enough it becomes true...not matter how wrong it is.
  11. Roscoe is still a top five PR in this league (I like to think), and with McKelvin out we don't have anyone to replace him. But he's been irrelevant this year. He is not a kick returner. Or maybe he's just getting too old to do it anymore, as he hasn't really been effective this year in returning kicks OR punts. I'd hate to see him go for something as low as a sixth, but if you can get him out of the division and get a fourth or better for him and clear space for Hardy than you might as well pull the trigger on it. I just don't want to hear that Fred Jackson is going to handle the return duties from now on. He's 28-years old and plays the position with the shortest shelf life for crying out loud.
  12. Why do some people start threads???
  13. Revis is a young corner who got burned deep by one of the fastest guys in the league. Clements got burned on a hook route for a 70 yard touchdown doing what he aways does: taking unnecessary risks. But I am impressed in your turn-around time responding to this...
  14. It didn't matter. Maybin was going to going to be a situational pass rusher from the beginning - he didn't have the size to be an every down DE. Orakpo so far is justifying his #13 overal pick; Maybin hasn't come close.
  15. At least it's an original (and not terrible) thought. I don't know **** about Detroit's linebackers, but we do have plenty of depth at CB. Whatever we do, we can't trade away anything for a one-year stop gap; this season is already lost. We need to be looking into the future.
  16. how did he look on Sunday, Dave?? Apparently I did miss it. Hall has three picks today on a team that is 3rd in the NFL in pass defense. Clements has one pick on the 24th ranked passing defense in the league. I must be missing something here... how prophetic... (no sarcasm here) He's not a premier cover corner. Not to say he doesn't have the talent - although he's getting old now - but at 5'8" he's always been a liability. Antoine is the shortest CB in the league if I'm not mistaken (if not, he's certainly up there). Nate at least had decent size at 5'11", but he's still nowhere near the top 5.
  17. He's old and crotchety. Welcome to the board. Besides, if you think there isn't going to be an Orakpo comparison every time Aaron Maybin is mentioned (off-topic or not) you're simply mistaken.
  18. Why, because of his size? He never played LB in college, what would make him a LB in the NFL exactly??? Actually he only had three tackles and zero sacks. Not exactly the same thing. Bench Ellison?? Are you insane?? You'd rather play Jon Corto and Ashlee Palmer over Ellison?? You're an idiot on multiple levels. Not worth addressing individually. Thank you. You beat me to it. Orakpo is actually up to 2.5 sacks and 15 tackles after this Sunday's game. But hey, Maybin is up to three tackles. And zero sacks.
  19. Well, you're half right. They are two completely different beasts. But returning punts is just as violent if not more so. In both cases you have guys running at full speed, punt returning tends to lend itself to more blindsides than kick returns, but now with the new rules and the abandonment of the wedge, blocking is tougher on kick returns anyhow. If one of the starting CB's is hurt I think this is a good move as to not get BOTH hurt, and I think it just proves how valuable of a special teamer Roscoe is.
  20. Jesus Christ people, this drivel again? If you're unwilling to take the 1/5,000,000,000+ chance that you are going to get blown up by a terrorist at a Buffalo Bills game maybe it's time to pack in life right now.
  21. Your gut, or...logic? There's no way Crabtree sits out the season unless he's a complete moron. Imagine negotiating next year? What's he going to do, sit out a second consecutive season? There's no way he makes MORE money by sitting out the season.
  22. Is that a real question, whether his interest in baseball caused his NFL draft value to rise or fall???
  23. I loved the way people on this board factored Bowen in to the LB rotation. I don't think this guy turned many heads in college, wouldn't expect him to last too long in the NFL especially after major knee surgery. I forget who it was on the NFL network who was surprised he was even drafted...
  24. Me too, Tim. Gabby's Gate after the game??
