  1. Gaither's not available, Tebow won't be around in the 3rd, and you're on drugs to use the #9 pick on Bryant with the other holes that need filling and WR not being anywhere near the #1 position of need. Otherwise, great stuff.
  2. Maybe the writer would have gotten more respect if he had addressed the top two needs (LT, NT) of the team in the top two picks. Or maybe if he had shown a shred of knowledge about the team. Maybe you would get more respect if you knew what you were talking about too... http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/9...pg2.html?cat=14 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview08/co...tory?id=3549100 http://www.top10source.com/the-10-most-loy...in-the-nfl.html Tebow at 9 is ludicrous. And the thought that he would put that many fans in the seats in Buffalo (this isn't Jacksonville where he's deified) is equally insane.
  3. His political views not withstanding, Smerlas is a douchebag, through and through.
  4. I thought you weren't going to engage? And do you really think those are the only two out there (Deuteronomy 22:20-21, I Corinthians 14:34-35, Deuteronomy 25:11-12, Exodus 32:27-29, Numbers 16:49, etc. etc.)? And sending "wrath" is taking their women as "love slaves"? Nice.
  5. Apparently not. But feel free to contribute. Cute how you found an ally in this though. I don't know what that means...
  6. "And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." (Numbers 31.15-18) "Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children. And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah." (Isaiah 13. 13-19) Yes, what a lovely story that Bible is. You know what? This really isn't the forum for it. I apologize.
  7. Something tells me that if there is a supreme deity is up there and he ignored the pleas of the victims of Katrina, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the firebombings of Tokyo and Dresden, etc. etc., he wasn't going to answer Timmy when taking an exam. Maybe that's just me.
  8. Actually I'm not looking for a fight on it or anything else. For once I really have better things to do (although trying to do anything but). But again you've made no verifiable statement, made reference to nothing substantiative. I provided sources, you provided opinions. Your points are therefore anything but "valid." Ahh yes, I must have taken all that talk of murder, rape and enslavement out of context. It all starts to make sense now. Most religions teach you to spread the religion - Christianity is not alone in that. But it teaches a lot of other stuff...that I've apparently taken out of context.
  9. That's fine, and I don't disagree with anything you just said (this certainly isn't the forum). But next time don't call out someone if you aren't prepared to engage them. Saying someone "knows nothing" about something generally requires some sort of clarification of said statement.
  10. I went to Catholic school. I've read [most of] the Bible (you clearly haven't). What's your excuse?
  11. No offense dude, but I think you live in a bubble. Of course it's rude, but it's also professional (or soon to be) football. Do you think Vince Wilfork says "pardon me" after blowing up a double-team?
  12. Feel free to prove me wrong. I provided Bible verses as references. You've provided nothing but unfounded accusations. Volley to you, sir.
  13. Why? 'Cause the Bible says to? I hope he's prepared to rape, murder, and enslave as well...
  14. Why take him then? We could probably grab him in the second or third...
  15. Nothing. But it can be really irritating when people try to "out-religious" you in public. It's like "we get it, you love God. But do it on your own time." With Tebow they had probably had enough of his public piousness. I know I have and I haven't had to spend any time with him personally.
  16. You can be religious without wearing it on your sleeve and asking everyone else in the room to participate. I have no problem with people who believe in something. Sometimes I wish I did. But I can't stand preachy, holier-than-thou people, and apparently I'm not the only one. Good to see ol' Timmy put in his place.
  17. Yes, certainly those with religion have proven to be of the most utmost moral standing. "Blow them all away - in the name of the Lord" - Rev. Jerry Falwell
  18. I'm not going to start a religious/anti-religious thread here. If you've actually read the Bible and you support murder and rape (Numbers 31.15-18, Isaiah 13. 13-19, etc.), slavery (1 Peter 2:13-15, Exodus 21:1-4, Deuteronomy 15:12-18, etc.), or the slaughter of a man's own son (Genesis 22), then we probably have very little in common anyway. Besides, it's pretty funny to me how all the 'pious' Christians come out of the woodwork to defend their myth yet show a scantily-clad woman as their avatar. Sort of goes against the message of Christ, wouldn't you say?
  19. Where the hell did this come from? I haven't heard Shockey say a thing in years...
  20. Congrats to Jabari, but he didn't look all that good tonight. At least in the beginning of the game, before the beers hit double digits. Then...well, I'm not so sure...
  21. Hargrove didn't spear, he was going for a tackle. He was lunging before the player was down. Players make helmet-to-shoulder contact all the time. bull **** call. Manning wasn't clipped. Do you even know what clipping is? Glad to see this one wasn't determined by the referees. I just wish the previous 20 weeks of football were the same way.
  22. Great original post. I think the rest of you might be on drugs though. Who called Kerry Collins a "definite"? This aging alcoholic who went 0-6 this year on a team fresh off an AFC Divisional Playoff appearance only to lose his job to an illiterate semi-sidearm/shotput quarterback? Who's advocating Damon Huard? Or Todd Collins, part deux?? And Harami...Tebow? Not even going there. And what's with the guy trying to trade a nearly-retired Aaron Schobel? I love all the unwarranted man-love for Brohm on this website. What has he ever done? He was great in college in the pathetic Big East. His delivery is so slow Byron Leftwich wants him to speed it up. And ever since getting to the pros he's literally done nothing. Literally. Nothing. The "I've heard of him" factor can only take you so far.
  23. Good thing your 'gut' isn't the GM...
