Hey, quick question. I've been out of the Madden loop for 2 years. Maybe I misunderstood, but one can draft reall college players now on the game?
-
Good post. I think we should give Trent one more year. However, i would like to bring in a veteran starter if possible to be the #2 because Trent as we all know seems to be injury prone. Ideally, like you mention, I would want McNabb. But I really don't see us trading for him and I'm sure his salary is above Buffalo's standards. We would probably be able to get him for two 3rd rounders, I'd assume..or maybe a 2nd and a third.

To me, we still have to wait and see what happens in FA. I think that pass rush is our #1 concern. How it's addressed is still to be seen.

I just finished posting this on another thread. While ideally I wouldn't mind drafting a safety, what's the point in doing so under this defensive scheme? We run a defense that doesn't require natural, raw ability and skills. All we need are bodies to roam around in our soft prevent defense. Mays would be a wasted pick, b/c we would waste his natural talents in our defense.

I'd be up for drafting a DB, but what's the point of drafting DB's high in this defensive scheme? The way we run defense in buffalo doesn't require any playmaking ability whatsoever; simply stand 15yds behind the LOS and wait for the play to come to you. That kind of player can be found off of the practice squad. It is really quite pathetic. The fact of the matter is that you could draft Ed Reed II or Champ Bailey II, and they would look very average on our defense. So what's the point?

"Though citing the dissatisfaction of the team's fans over a third consecutive 7-9 season, Wilson elected to retain Jauron and the entire coaching staff, believing the team is "better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul." -ESPN HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA WHAT A CIRCUS....i'm never attending another Bills game until Ralph dies. -

we have Cowher available, Marty, Shanahan, possibly Spagnola, etc... Maybe finally bring in a winning coach into this franchise...nope. We keep "7-9" DJ. HAHAHAHAH. Ralph, I hate you with every cell in my body. -

BREAKING NEWS: Jauron to be retained

sadly, i agree with him. We were outcoached by each and every one of our divisional opponents this year..including mangini who was fired, but we give DJ a contract extension. BEAUTIFUL. -
BREAKING NEWS: Jauron to be retained

you know what's funny? Yesterday I was listening to Joe Benigno on WFAN. For a Jets fan, I can actually stand him b/c he typically doesn't talk smack. He flat out said that DJ was a horrible coach and that as a Jets fan, he was praying for the Bills to keep him, b/c that was a guaranteed 2 wins for his jets next year with him as coach. Anyone else here that yesterday? It was around 11:30am. The league is laughing at us. Our divisional opponents are popping champagne. 0-6 against the AFCE. We're a !@#$ging JOKE OF A FRANCHISE. !@#$ YOU RALPH -
BREAKING NEWS: Jauron to be retained

Exactly. It apparently costs too much to eat up DJ pedestrian contract. The couple of million of dollars are obviously more important to Ralph than putting together a freaking competent coaching staff. -

I completely forgot about the April thing until it was pointed out in this thread. Anyway...at least we're all pretty much in consensus. I can't wait until tomorrow to find out what the heck is going on with this team.
-
Ya, I completely forgot about the April firing. Good point.
-
He def. has. But San Fran STILL scored more points than us and had a higher ranked offense than we did going through a QB change and a coaching change in the same season.
-
Ya, i'm not sure how I'd feel about him either...but I'm just looking at our options. I would prefer Martz over Turk though.
-
If we keep DJ as head coach...one of our coordinators will most surely have to be let go. Seeing that our offense was one of the worst in the league, I can't see how Turk can stay. Not only that, but Turk has no prior record to justify him staying or assuming that he'll turn it around. Will he? Who knows. Would anyone be up for bringing Martz in here as the OC?? Ideally I would want DJ gone, but I think Martz would be an upgrade over Turk. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...6888&id=420

For all those clammorng for Cowher
bobobonators replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps, I just think that he's been in the league long enough to field one. If he wanted a winner that badly, you figure it would've happened by now. In this case, the blind squirrel doesn't find the nut. -
Bill from NYC's dream draft

Tebow should consider himself lucky if he's even drafted. The sh-- he pulls off in college doesn't translate to the NFL.
