That is actually the wrong size for NT. He is too tall, putting his center of gravity too high. NT should be somewhat low to the ground so they are hard to push off the point of attack.
Berry is the man. Already coached up by Monte and will be gone early. Most experts though have Mays going in the mid first round. So probably he is the third best safety in the draft, Mays will live or die in the N.F.L. by laying some wood. If he can learn proper technique there won't be alot of catches over the middle against this guy.
Last year at this time I sang the praises of Mr. Mays. When Byrd started to blossum I, like yourself, thought a Mays/Byrd defensive backfield would be one that could be a force for years. So yes I am a believer that Mays would be an excellent pick up, but a stud up front on the either line might be more important.
Interesting but that will never happen. We only play two N.F.C. away games a seasonkn so we could only play Atlanta, N.O., Indy and Houston, or Detroit, Minnesota, Indy and Houston but not eight. At least not until N.E., Miami, and N.Y. get domes will we play eight road dome teams.
When I saw the initial thread wind was my first thought. That wind can make such a difference. Like the New England game where no one bothered throwing or if they did it was twice all day. Dome it is not, San Diego either. It takes a special quarterback to play at the Ralph.
Yeah, let's not get all carried away here. Cody has looked good when he got on the field, but he will need weight clauses in his contract, and getting down to 354 will help his draft status but 9 is a little premature to say the least.
NO WAY! A first for McNabb is outrageous, stupid, a reach, ludicrious, moronic, a waste, misquided, poor judgement, a sign of the more things change the more they stay the same, terrible ...... did I leave anything out?
Let him go to New England so he can haunt us two times a year. Lynch is good and should stay, we aren't going to get much for him and we will wind up regretting letting him go.
I agree with you and oldtimer. Fix the lines, play ball control and solid D ( if possible). No rookie is going to come in and light it up this year. He is going to take a beating and get shelled shocked like Edwards, Carr and others who have gone this route.
While we are on the subject of Clausen, who did he put these big numbers up against? Nevada, Washington State. ND didn't play anyone that finished in the money so to speak. Even USC wound up being a paper champion.
