No.....Modano is NOT 60...will be 40 in June. I DO agree the team could have more talent.

i se he was released earlier today. he had 7 sacks last year and would prob be cheap. would help with our switch to 3-4. i know i for one would like to take a look at him

Exactly, that's how they got him to sign. Tell the guy he's the starter and he's game. But now what can we do if he is outplayed by Bell or Meredith? Pencil him in as experienced depth or cut him if it's necessary.
Really, this was a smart move, no matter how bad people want to put a negative spin on it. Sure, we would have liked a better OT, with a better track record, but the FA pool isn't exactly teeming with great options this year.
I agree and if he can play at least 1/2 as good as another Cornell Green did the
Bills will be in good shape.

This forum has a good cross section of people [although mostly of upstate NY roots] What do you do in your free time? Ski, fish, Golf, throw the javelin? I ask because I love riding my 4 wheeler, going nowhere and burning up carbon credits.
I enjoy collecting autographs,walking and swimming.

My first thought, based on their popularity and the fact that i bet they want to change it up and go more modern would be The Black Eyed Peas
I think as someone mentioned Bon Jovi would be a poplular choice
One other possibility would be a country theme......Tim McGraw/Kenny
Chesney/ Toby Keith/Keith Urban
Better add Willie Nelson to the mix if it is country.

for football reasons, they would have to be...just a basic knowledge of the game tells you that Vick isn't the answer
for other reasons, Russ Brandon has to be smarter than that...with a marketing background, he has to know that a fan base that's tired of losing is growing impatient and won't take much to give up on the franchise...short of the drunks who fill the Rockpile, they won't appease fans by bringing Vick in. The longtime fans, a lot of whom fill club seats which the team can't afford to have go empty, aren't, as a whole, happy about the notion of a convicted felon in Bills colors...some will drop their club seats immediately. Vick could destroy the franchise
I agree too!! If there is one thing that The Buffalo Bills Nation DOES NOT need at this time....is
to be DIVIDED. Vick would divide this franchise.

Thankfully numbers alone don't cut. Reed was the better player. He played outdoors and that effects his numbers some.
One of the writers in St. Louis, who is voting member, said that Reed was the best slot receiver EVER, and that his YAC numbers are second only to Rice. Carter is known to be a me first guy.
Speaking of writers.....might be a good idea to get on the good side of Rick Gosselin...and
have him "" lobby"" on Reed's behalf next year. He is well KNOWN and RESPECTED throughout
the NFL. He too is a voting member.

I'm a lifelong fan of the Sabres, but not living in WNY and not having Versus, I haven't had a chance to watch this Sabres team. Opinions on this team? Are they worth the investment in time and money or are they terminally incomplete? I do see they lost to a premier team last night, is that indicative of their performance this year? Basically, I'm debating whether or not to purchase the Center Ice package for the playoffs. Do you think they'll make a decent run at the cup this year or one-and-done?
FYI Versus is also on Dish Direct.

This has fast become my all time favorite thread on TSW.
Why?
It has shined a light on the strength of the community that lies beneath the surface of this message board.
This thread has shined an even brighter light on the Beerball family as they have coped with a health emergency that would have left a lesser family decimated. They "circled the wagons" around Beerball- with abundant love, strength and humor in such amounts that I have to tell you Beerball- you are one of the most fortunate men I know.
