  1. Aw, don't pick on poor Willis. After all, his season's over since he didn't get 1,000 yards, right? From Mike Penner's blog in the LA Times:

Wow some bad season!? I still see poor Willis running up the middle for 70ish yards against my Cowboys. If he was any happier how many MORE yards would he have gained that night!!

  2. I haven't missed watching a game since 1988 and not about to start missing them now. I don't know what I'd do with my Sunday afternoons if I didn't watch the Bills or go to a game.

Besides - my Bills bar here in Dallas is a blast. Cancelled the Sunday ticket 2 years ago because watching with other fans and sharing the joy/misery is great entertainment.

Guess I have no life.

Yep aussiew so true. I haven't missed listening or watching my Cowboys ( Cowgirls for the time ) since back in the 70's. I TOO will continue watching my team eventhough our Wade Phillips is still the HC. Yep aussiew so true. The Bills bar in Dallas is a blast!! I now have a new "SPORTS FAMILY" to cheer with for my Boys/Girls along with my newly adopted AFC team the Bills. Add another person to the list of having no life!!!

  3. Most likely scenario: having committed to DJ for 3 more years and not wanting to eat the salary, RW demands that some of the coaching staff be fired. DJ gets the boot only if he refuses, and Bobby April takes over to maintain continuity (and at a bargain basement salary). RW then contests paying DJ's salary like he did with Wade; history repeats itself.

It is okay. No big deal about the previous threads. I have only been on the board about a month. Major mistake by me.... I started a topic to lobby for the Pro Bowl and recommended voting a straight Bills ticket for best results. Only problem was that the voting had started A MONTH before. I acknowleged the goof and confessed to having had too much of Mead's famous wine.

  4. She was a fine entertainer. She lost a lot of work because she dared say that she was against the Viet Nam war.

Her trouble started when she expressed her views at the White House, in the middle of one of Laby Bird Johnson's ladies get togethers.

I think today she would have been considered more of a hero today but that was the mid 60's, different times to be sure.

How odd that the famous Santa song singer dies on Christmas!!

  5. Bills pass attempts are ALLWAYS entertaining.

Yep.....and this was all the quarterbacks and receivers needed to close out their year. It sure could be interesting for all of the punters too ( minus yards vs 85 yards ) ALSO ..... sure makes that famous issue of the year DEFERRING after winning the coin toss.

  6. Concussions affect people in different ways on different occasions. A buddy of mine has had three concussions (two from hockey, one from a car accident). Most days he is perfectly fine. Other days, he suffers from horrible migraines and claims he just can't focus. He's even had blackouts. The long term symptoms of a concussion don't lend themselves to consistency. That said, I doubt that Trent's groin injury was completely fabricated. Why would the organization pretend it was a groin when head issues are a perfectly legitimate reason not to play?

It is hard to say what the organization has in mind. FYI.....Zack Thomas formerly with those Fins and now with those Cowboys had issues also. Funny thing.... he went for some sinus surgery to improve his breathing and now those migranies have all but gone. I hear that this is the best he has felt for many months. Have that buddy see his nose man to explore that possibility.

  7. I need to know, as the Bills also suck in my Madden Season on xbox...I finished 7-9 (imagine that).

I don't follow college football real close, so I don't have a clue who to draft...need some help.

Specifically, at the TE, DE, C, and QB...thanks!

Here are some QB's . Tim Tebow of Florida Colt McCoy of Texas Graham Harrell of Texas Tech Sam Bradford of Oklahoma . Here is the problem..... it is hard to determine who will go pro.

  8. Funny you mention that since Brett Favre did it IN Oakland just like Cassel will

To make things even more interesting, both players have lost their dads in December and it was before Christmas. I also want to say that this post/topic represents true sportsmanship by you Bills fans. You guys are to be commended to the highest level!!!

  9. Ths year, how many teams have started 5-1 and then lost 6 of the next 7 games and looked absolutely LOST doing it? At 5-1, just about everyone had the Bills winning the AFC East. They will most likely end up 6-10 after starting 5-1. At least the Lions and Bengals have looked putrid from the start. How can anyone explain or justify this monumental belly flop?

I can explain the belly flop. It started against the now NFC West division winner the Arizona Cardinals. If Trent does not go down with that concusion in the first, could things have been different?!? The Bills did benefit from the bye and the unpreditable Chargers but the belly flop was on. Ironically, Arizona is where Tony Romo suffers his broken pinky. The games that the Cowboys lost afterwards may cost them the playoffs.

  10. Should I kill it ,catch it , or get the cat and let her play with it .

Sitting here at the desk and just saw it run under the door in to the hall closet .

    :lol::lol: cat or trap ?

Hey mead...... here is a way to rid yourself of some of that CHEAP wine.....put it out for the rat/mouse to drink. We have same problem. Get some of those bait aqua pills. In the meantime have a broom or mop ready to wack it with when it rears its head.

  11. Well, deja vu all over again. I was laid of in January 2006, and was luckily back to work by April. It was supposed to be contract to hire, but I guess the economy did not follow that pattern.

Besides taking a pay cut, the contract benefits sucked, but it was a paycheck and interesting work. I really did NOT see this coming since they were signing me up for training classes and I was involved in several key projects. Too bad these days quality engineers are considered 'overhead'.

I heard they had cut some temps early today, and something told me to pack my personal things in my brief case. So at about 3pm today the division manager says he would like to have a word with me. My boss works out of town Thursday and Friday, or she would have had to tell me.

    Merry Christmas to me.

The wife left for NY city this morning for a weekend with the girls. Now I have to figure out how to tell her Sunday night I do not have a job to go to Monday. No sense telling her now when she calls to check in - she has been looking forward to this weekend for a long time.

This time I do not have a sweet severance package either. I did not get to say seeya to anyone. At least I know I was doing MY best, but corporate said cut all the temps.

Am I pissed? Yeah, but I will land on my feet and be pounding on doors by Monday.

God will not give me a load I cannot carry.

I am also sorry about your news. Check with your Sabres.... maybe they need help on game nights. Ushers, ticket takers, ticket sellers etc.
