  1. Im not a Cowherd fan, but he touched on how ridiculous this is.   Yeah the league is conspiring to keep teams like Dallas out of the superbowl for the past 25 years or so.  Huge difference between bad officiating and a conspiracy.   Did some of you watch the end of the Giants game on this board?

They did him a favor.  Young is a bust.

Said before the draft I wouldnt touch him with a ten foot pole. The puffed him up to 205 lbs for the combine.   He's just too small both in height and frame in my humble opinion.   Multiple no.1s wasted on that, gonna be ugly for a while Panther fans.

  3. I've never understood the fear of firing McDermott.    Like we could have a return to the drought years.   After the music city miracle, you know what coach was going to have any long-term success with an aging immobile Drew Bledsoe, Trent Edwards, JP Losman, EJ Manuel, journeyman Fitzmagic, last year Kyle Orton and Tyrod Taylor?   Your answer is nobody.  Did any of these guys flourish after leaving Buffalo and going to new coaching, no.   And before anyone says but McD ended the drought with Tyrod and got us the playoffs, I would respond we were 9-7 under Marrone, followed by 8-8 and 7-8 before Rex was fired.  We went to the playoffs with a 9-7 record with Tyrod, it wasn't some dramatic turnaround in record.  It was the same record as Marrone and a one game improvement over Rex's first year.

The reason for our success is we finally got a franchise QB.   Now it took 35 years after we drafted Kelly in 1983 to get Josh in 2018.   So you take a basically .500 team(Marrone-Rex years) and add a franchise QB you should improve.  So, if your happy just going the playoffs and losing, then McD is your guy.  I'm in the camp that he isn't the coach to take us to the promised land, and that will always be the goal, getting back to, and finally winning the SB.  30 plus years is a long time to wait, and I don't want to waste Josh on somebody who has shown he gets out coached in the big moments.   I have a bigger fear of wasting Josh, than losing McDermott would mean a return to the drought years.   Josh isn't the QBs listed above, he's light years ahead of those guys.

Right, but his UFA status is based on a void year.  He has three void years built into his contract.  They can either pay the cap hits the void years create, or add that money back as part of resigning him.   If they dont make an offer his status is UFA, but he will have cap hits for three years running if he isnt resigned in the offseason.

If they can find someone to trade for him as a salary dump they can save over $17 million dollars next offseason.  To do that they'd likely have to send Von and a high pick to a team willing to take on the money.  Otherwise they cant cut him without major cap implications until 2025.

Damn learned something there on the void years.   Seems Beane keeps pushing money out but the bill comes due eventually.   His restructure of Von last year is a classic example.   When we first heard about this contract, it was its really a 3 year deal, but now he's 15 million in dead money in year 4.  Im with the original poster, think Beane hasnt had his eyes on the future enough, and hasnt managed the cap well.

  5. Guy is over a year from the injury.   Stop with the excuses.  Tre was a year out and has to stay with WRs cutting, but somehow Von cant juke a 300 plus pound OT?   Give any street free agent his snaps and you would have more stats than Vons one tackle/one assist.   He's downright embarrassing and giving zero effort.   I wouldnt even dress him at this point he is such a liability.  Holy crap I think Beane may have actually moved some of his money into year 4 and will cost us over 10 million even then in dead space.

  6. 30-40 million over the cap depending on what site you look at.  Cut players XY and Z and those are even more holes to fill.    3 defensive linemen signed to the roster next year.  One of the safeties is a FA, the other one is old too.  Gabe is a FA, lose him you have Diggs, Shakir and nothing.   Pre-Beane scouts got you Milano I believe, correct me if I am wrong on that.   Panics in the first round, throws away picks that could be young, cheap guys to develop.   News flash, other teams dont share their board with Beane.  Turns 2nds into 5ths and 6ths. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay overpaid for a speed rusher on the wrong side of 30.  Extended a TE for 14 million when he was going to take a TE in the first.   I would say his record is mixed.

  7. Getting a little sick of hearing  what McD has done for this team.   The 3 years prior with Marrone and Rex we were basically a 500 team, and they did that with Orton and Tyrod, they didnt have Allen and Diggs.   Marrone was 9-7 I believe, same as Seans first playoff year.    Its not like we were 1-15.   I would think the Bills would have the pick of the litter of new coaches.   How many head coaches never really get a chance when you draft people like Manziel, Joey Harrington, Akili Smith, Rosen, and on and on.   Get a head coaching gig with a very good qb, yeah coaches would want that.    Sean's had his chance, he comes up small when it counts, time for a change.

  8. Josh played his ass off.

Von is out right dogging it out there.  He shouldn't even dress.  Its reaching embarrassment at this point.

Somebody, anybody on the PS has to be better than Sherfield and Harty, sign of insanity is doing the same thing expecting different result, time for a change there.

Thought Douglas dogged  it on a pass on the sideline.

McD out adjusted by Philly's O in the  2nd half.

Poyer  and Hyde for sure have a lost a step each, ready for some youth there.

Josh's record in OT is McDs record in OT too, and his D hasn't made plays when its crunch time.   Seems like a pattern.

    Refs did suck bad.

Like what I saw from Ty Johnson

The bad news is we also get him next week at Philly and then two weeks later at KC.

Just seemed like he as quick on the trigger to question a lot of our big plays, Ty Johnson TD--was in all the way, and Poyer int, which i thought was an int hands under the ball, then you hear ball can touch the ground---was closer to me than him and Gene thought.

#3 I bet he says he likes every city.
