  1. As much as I agree with you I still think a good coach could take the Bills to the playoffs. Talent is on this team, not a ton of it but enough to get a wild card (especially this year). Now next year might be tough cause of the schedule but coaching cost us several games this year, not the rest of the organization. I would like to see a front office overhaul but I would settle for a new head coach with a proven record of winning.
  2. Stop depressing me. I was reading this and got a flashback to Norwood's kick and I still want it to go in. The pain runs deep man, don't kill the optimism for Bills Backers everywhere.
  3. Very true but in my mind I just see that football being blown right out of the stadium and into the hole in the field house. It made my brain seize for a moment.
  4. Sure, the winds never swirl in Orchard Park. The announcers also praised Jauron up and down yesterday and for the last 3 years actually.
  5. Lets start there. If anyone thought that was a good idea let me know. Go for it or punt and pin them back but no way in hell was that kick going through the uprights.
  6. The Brows last offensive touchdown was against the Bills......
  7. Lets think about cheap old Ralph for a minute. We all know he is frugal but is he a good business man? Wouldn't 1 home playoff game offset the cost of a hiring a good coach/GM? Not sure about road playoff games as well but I'm sure some revenue has to come the teams way. Not to mention people liking the team and buying merchandise and season tickets and maybe corporate sponsors. From a business standpoint why in the hell would you not want to hire capable people so you can make the playoffs and earn more dough? Use some of the Toronto money, charge a "we need a good coach/GM fee" on all tickets, I think at this point the Bills Backers would pony up some extra dough to make this happen. I just think from a business standpoint you want to have the best product to have the most return on your investment. Maybe Ralph should stop flying from Detroit to Buffalo all the time to save some cash to put towards a good coach/GM. Install a video teleconference machine and make it a virtual "inner circle". I have tons of ideas to save the franchise money and put it in better places like a coach/gm. Ralph, give me a call.
  8. My point is the owner of the team who has stated he is not certain about his head coach was not at the game because he lives in another city. The dude needs to be in Buffalo. It may have worked in the 90's for him to live in Detroit because he had a good front office running "the show" but clearly the current organization isn't capable of managing squat so maybe he should become more involved again or find someone to run the franchise who knows football and can bring some victories to Buffalo (I will settle for some TD's at this point).
  9. Does that not speak volume's about the state of the franchise? CBS Should have cut to a shot of an empty owners box.
  10. Here we are yet again Bills fans and although the team/franchise has many many issues this post will focus on our pathetic offense. First of all, the O has some play makers. Lee Evans is a top notch receiver, Lynch and Freddy are a solid RB duo and Trent is a game manager capable of making some plays and has potential to be a good NFL QB. Also, the line has come around and is above average in the league. Obviously we have no tight ends on this team worthy of starting on most teams and our receiving core is young and/or slightly below average compared to the rest of the NFL with the exception of Lee. With all of this considered one has to wonder why the talent on this team is so inconsistent and under utilized? One has to point the finger at Turk and Jauron. The play calling is vanilla and they can not seem to get the ball into Lee's hands. Now, I know he is being doubled and teams focus on him since Reed, Roscoe, Hardy and Johnson are not solid number 2's on most teams. I watch other games around the league and see QB's taking shots down the field. Throwing the ball in the end zone and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but for god's sake they try to score touchdowns in the air. They simply do not and teams know this. Trent checks down or the short pass plays are called. They need to go down the field and I really don't care who is out there, find a way to have 30 yard or more pass plays multiple times in just about every game. Obviously when the weather plays a factor than I can understand this a bit but it really gets old and I think this is a big reason for the Bills being who they are--average. So in short they do need some more talent on the offense but they have talent that is wasted game after game. It is time to change the mind set of the franchise and become offense minded and play sound D but play to win and go for the throat. Sadly, without leadership changing (clean house in the front office and coaching staff) I see this repeating over and over. As a Bills fan I am ever optimistic but in reality I'm a fool. Thoughts?
  11. You have to start with the IT guys. When the economy gets tough they are always the first to go. The community Relation folks will also have their hands full so they may want to beef up that department.

  13. "Come see your 2009 Buffalo Bills, please. Hello, anyone there??" Russ Brandon
  14. 7-9, 7-9, 7-9 way to go boys, better luck next year (oh wait you had all the luck this year with an easy schedule and a wide open division) :wallbash:
  15. So frustrated and for some reason he popped into my head because he drops at least a ball each game. I know there are so many more pressing issues on this team/franchise but I just had to vent. Here's to him hopefully not being on this team next year.
  16. Wind died down in the 4th quarter not like it matters.
  17. According to what I just heard on WGR550, Schobel may be put on IR. Does anyone know what is going on here? Guys recover from broken bones quicker than this guy comes back from a "foot" injury. I looked on the bills website to get the injury report but it just says foot. That is all it has said since week 5 I believe. Where is the toughness and why couldn't the coaching staff figure out this guy wasn't coming back for the year and put him on IR and fill a roster spot while they still had a shot at the playoffs?
