  5. Hey my sister teaches at Bolivar, but she drives from Olean.
  6. Hunter Kelly, the 8-year-old son of former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly, has passed away after a long and courageous battle with Krabbe's Disease. Hunter Kelly was diagnosed with the rare disorder shortly after his birth on February 14, 1997. Hunter suffered from Krabbe Leukodystrophy, an inherited, fatal nervous system disease. He was only expected to live a few years. Jim and Jill Kelly created the Hunter's Hope Foundation in 1997, to raise awareness and money for medical research for Krabbe and other leukodystrophies. The foundation has raised millions of dollars for research. In a statement released by the Foundation, the Kellys ask for continued prayers and support while also requesting privacy as they mourn the loss of their son and comfort Hunter's sisters Erin and Camryn. The wake for Hunter Kelly will be private. A celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, August 9 at 1 P.M. at the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to do so consider sending a donation to the Hunter's Hope Foundation.
  7. I'm willing to be the go between or you can mail them directly to the office. I would love to take them an envelope full of your checks and donations. This isn't just a Bills fan thing here. This child has done more for the fight of informing the world of his illness and the universal New Born screening campaign has been gaining steam across the nation thanks to Jim, Jill and Hunter. My heart breaks at the thought of what that family is going through. I just talked with them at the ball last weekend. They showed a video of Hunter and how he does his daily routine. His sisters and how they read to him. Just heart breaking. I'm sure Hunter is running up to his Grandmother Alice and playing the foolball game that he could not do here on earth. God bless out little angel and Thank you GOD for the 8 years we had that fighter. May he be at peace.

  18. In May the tree on the corner went down. It was daylight so the loss of electricity wasn't so bad. I drove to the casino to pass the time. Last night was the worse storm I can remember. The sheets of rain made it impossible to see across the street. 'Then the huge Crack and you knew another tree landed somewhere. Two houses away. Out went the lights, off went the fans and talk about HOT. My Sister drove to my mothers to sleep and I went out on the front porch until all the sightseers started driving by. GOOD grief, you can't see anything in the pitch black night with no street lights. The servers at work were down until Noon so here I am. Not well rested but reading the camp reports. I'm going back the 10th, 15th and 22nd Yes, all nights.
  19. See you really don't know that I NEVER, Post serious football stuff.
  20. A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target. We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day. The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked. "Let's run through the rain!" She repeated. "No, honey. We'll wait ! until it slows down a bit," Mom replied. This young child waited about another minute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain," "We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said. "No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm. This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet? "Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, He can get us through anything!" The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will b! loom into faith. "Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said. Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars. And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing. Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories. So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. I hope you take the time to run through the rain. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, anhour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this to the people you'll never forget and remember to also send it to the person who sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry. Take the time to live!!! Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other -- and don't forget to run in the rain!
  21. NO, Maybe I'll bring them to the tailgate. QUOTE(Mr. Clutch @ Aug 2 2005, 06:46 AM) At what point did he throw his hands up and say "What the !@#$?" Ralph? Never. The Ball was nice but Jim will always be Jim.
  22. Talked to Mr Wilson yesterday and I just love that guy. I told him that we were trying to get him in the hall of fame and he gave a disgusted wave and said "Who cares about that. I'd rather have a championship. " Then just to let you know how charming this guy is - I've gotten a hug from him at camp for 14 years. I told him I was hoping for 20 more. He said" 20 more?" #89 "well, your wife is going to keep you young " RW "No, It's coming back to camp for that 14th hug" #89 See ya next camp RW Looking forward to the hug Then he turned around and got in his golf cart to continue watching practice. Some businessman in the VIP tent came up and asked how I knew Ralph and I simply said I'm just a Bills Fan. Some of those corporate people think their crap doesn't stink with the attitude of being better than the average fan. Well I'm just the plain old hard working WNY Bills fan. I love and support the team. L. Milloy - I got to pick on him to bend over for some butt shots and he did it with the rest of the DB's laughing at him. When I got to talk to him I told him that some lady wanted to take a roll if pix just of him. That's why I did It. He said I had to start picking on Spikes next. They both have a great sense of humor. After the Mon. Morning session JP was on the turf with a group of 7 guys. They were stretching out after practice and just laughing and joking around. It is really nice to see that they get along. JP was scrambling alot at the afternoon session. I think it was in the play calling and he was doing it quite well. S. Williams has switched numbers to #20 and this little guy is really having a good practice. I liked him at the end of last year when he got to show his stuff. R Parrish is fast and has great hands Mike Williams lost the flabby Tummy( GUT for the guys) He really looks good. I had a great 4 days and can't wait to go back. I met some kid from Binghampton and took him in the VIP tent with my extra ticket. He was thrilled. I wanted to take Rockpile but by the time I saw him I had already told Eric he could go.
