Well, I saved $600 for the same coverage. And after reading my road kill, bridges, motorcyles and car stories that is a good thing.

Road-Kill... What have you Contributed to the Road
#89 replied to brihs2005's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A man ran into my station wagon years ago. Larry was driving it. He had 3 guys with him from a trip to FT. Erie track. He was slowing down for a traffic light at Yorkshire corners and this idiot came on a full run right into the car. He dented the metal piece between the drivers window and the windshield. dents on the roof and the hood. DumbASS SOB. Our insurance went up. He was taken to the hospital, must have been on drugs. Larry had tons of witnesses. -

I was a Jets fan, my Dad was a Bills fan. He got me tickets to the Ralph in 1972 so I could watch Namath. Years later I was working in a factory and one of my close girlfriends told me about the Bills QB coming to her family's house for dinner because her brother was such a big fan. He was ill(his lungs would crust over and they would have to cut him open and scrape his lungs so they would be soft enought to expand) Well Kelly was having camp at Bonaventure and he was the QB that for 10 years came to Olean until this kid died to have dinner with him. My father also had passed away and I thought if Dad isn't here to cheer for the Bills and if the Bills had a QB that would be so charitable, I HAD TO BECOME A BILLS FAN. Thus A Bills fan I am. The #89 is another story

This is why I'm asking We have two options - A buffet - or - a limited menu We can pick the foods for the limited menu Like I would not have thought of the potato skins. That is why I want opinions. It would be impossible to set up a buffet in that room and then police the 50-70 people walking in and out of there to see if they sneak a wing. Instead of asking for a cheaper draft price maybe I can ask about cheaper pitcher prices. I don't drink so I really do not know what the beer drinkers want either. Some like bottles some like draft I do not like any beer. I need really NEED opinions to set this up. We just want every waller to have a good time without having to stand there all night in a crowded bar. The room means that we can have a better oppertunity to share with each other. We had so many there last year that both lofts of the bar were filled and the bar was packed. You had to snake you way around to talk or just to meet wallers. For the out of towners that smoke. Erie County NYS has a smoke free policy so you have to go outside to smoke.

The cut off date is earlier this year so I can get the out of town shirts mailed to the people early enough for them to wear proudly at the local watering hole on opening day.

I guess so I don't understand the comment that someone thinks this is too much. You get beef on wyck -chicken wings- zita- and the soup and salad bar. for $9.95 Just the wyck and wings would cost over that so add in the 8.25 percent sales tax and the 17 percent tip $12.50
-
Just got off the phone with Danny He wanted to know if we might want a buffet It would be Beef on wyck, chicken wings, Pasta and the salad bar. The drinks are up to you to buy. The cost is just $9.95 with tax and tip it is $12.50 I think it is a very reasonable offer. Your opinions please The room seats 60 people-- he said if more than that sign up he would reserve one of the lofts for the rest of the over flow

Thank you. Gee he said most of the thing that I told you but it is great hearing it from him. Now I have to go call him if I can find his number.

It isn't just going to the game The night before we get together at Danny's eat, drink and talk Bills football. At the tailgate there is a tent set up with a few tables and chairs. We have raffles for Bills mdse and a variety of other items in the past there were Bills Grills a DVD player, Bills jackets --prizes that were purchased or donated to help defer the expenses of the party. People bring food Items to put out on the tables, many have grills and cook meat products, chillie etc... It is like a family picnic - we go to the game and many come back to the tent after the game to continue until the party breaks up. Some are even kind enough to help clean up the area, pile up the chairs and lug the tables to the shed. IT IS WONDERFUL

His wife was working on her degree, kids were in school. Even when he played for the Bengals they lived outside Indy and he drove back and forth

It is just getting too old hat. The cost of gas, parking, tickets etc and trying to find someone to buy the other seat every game. The Burris news has made me now WANT to go again. Burris and AVP sometime Tasker will have TV my top three men at the stadium will drag this old butt to the field and then there is my little JP(love this kid) He was so sweet every time I've talked to him that I just want his dreams to come true.

Jeff loved the Bills and for the sake of family took the HUGE contract with the Colts. At that time the Bills could not even come close to the offer. I have so many fond memories of Jeff. Drew's first interception was to Jeff and I was given the ball by Jeff after the game. It still has the trainers tape and the markings on it. Jeff married a Buffalo girl and they come to visit family in WNY all the time. I'm just very, very happy that I'll have the chance to see him at the games
-
I do love Tasker, but Jeff is just such a special dear friend that I want the season to start tomorrow. To tell the truth I was almost going to give up my seasons but this regenerated me.
-
What exactly does that mean? I just changed my patch after the news
-
Danny's is on the corner of Abbott and 20A Right on the corner by the stadium. Close by
-
Jack called to tell me that Jeff Burris is returning to the Bills as a side line radio announcer. Does my life get any better than this? Giddy as a school girl and delightfully happy with this news.

Last year we had about 60 people show up at the bar and it was hard to stay together as a group. It was suggested that we have a room for our TBD partying. I put us down for a more private room instead of the SRO sardine packed bar. They suggested that we choose a limited menu to order from so I wanted your suggestions for the time to reserve the room for and the food that you want to be sure to have on our menu. Beef on wyck and wings for sure What else do you usually order there? I was thinking 7-10:30 for the room we can always stay later. I don't think we need it earlier do we. For those going to the casinos in Niagara Falls or Canada -- there is a gaming place at the race track-fairgrounds a mile from the hotel. I know it has slots but I didn't look to see if it offered cards. I can always find that out if you are interested. Also please let me know if there is anything you would like to have at the tailgate that will be an improvement. All suggestions will be considered. Rockpile's daughter offered to be the ticket girl. Nicki is great for that. (cute, great personality and a Bills fan. OH, intelligent too. I think she will be able to count and make change unlike last years)

If you are coming - I'm starting a thread about plans for the Saturday night get together on that board and would like some opnions. Just trying a few improvements for year 6

I guess that vacation has me not thinking Lori went with me and took notes to be posted today. Paul Peck was the media guest and Tim Anderson was the player. There was a marketing person there promoting the Bills Backer and Booster link on BB.Com All I can say is sign up and get registered - they have some great offerings coming up. A chance for tours of the stadium and things that most people never get to experience. Lori will be posting the details of the evening. I took her to the Raceway/fairgrounds before the meeting because I had not been there since the opened the gaming building. It was fun for me(she just watched) as I showed her how to waste and hour for $10 on slot machines. Then just before I left I put $5 in a 5 cent machine and won $100. Spent $40 on the Booster lottery ticket fund raiser. Still up $50 for the night Lori showed me once again that the Booster mtg can be profitable as well as educational when she won one of the Split club drawings for $50 We celebrated with Wings at Danny's after the meeting.

Rueben Brown and his son Both had facial cuts but no serious injuries. I saw a few of his bikes on the news and AM Buffalo they were very fancy and expensive. He said that even after a year with the bears there is no place like HOME. He plans on remaining a WNYer living in Orchard Park. He is such a nice guy.
