I think Alabama will come out shakey... My bet is they open with a run that gets stuffed, followed by a false start and subsequent sack. Third down will be an incomplete pass followed by a fake punt pass for an interception. Just a hunch.

It probably has to do with firemen. The hook and ladder are popular symbols used in fire department seals, so people got used to the terminology.
