  1. Unregistered "loaded" firearm in a NYC airport = $250 fine + $120 surcharge

Throwing an empty McDonalds cup out the window in disgust while listening to the Bills postgame show on your way home from the stadium (Thruway) = $250 fine + $120 surcharge.

Moral of the story, guns don't kill people, paper cups do.

  2. Terry Tate (Lester Speight) was in Any Given Sunday with Lawrence Taylor

Lawrence Taylor Played on the NY Giants with kicker Matt Barhr (1990)

Matt Bahr played with Drew Bledsoe in 1995 on the Patriots

Drew Bledsoe played with Alex Van Pelt on the 2000 Bills

Van Pelt was promoted to OC after Schonert was fired in 2009 w/ Ryan Fitzpatrick under center in weeks 11 on.

  3. The best chance would be a rookie from a team that hasn't been active in free agency, or a player that is out of the league after one season. With so few teams you could probably cut down the 6 degrees to 3 or 4 for most all players that have played in the last decade. It'd be like playing the Kevin Bacon game if there were only 32 movies ever made.

  4. Shane Falco played by Keanu Reeves

    1) Keanu Reeves - Vince Vaughn "Thumbsucker"

    2) Vince Vaughn - Craig Kilbourn "Old School"

    3) Craig Kilbourn - Bill Romanowski "The Bench Warmers"

    4) Bill Romanowski 2002 Raiders with Charles Woodson

    5) Charles Woodson 2009 Packers with Nick Barnett

    6) Nick Barnett with Fitzpatrick in Buffalo

  5. Rewatching the video... that kid is just sitting there sizing "the bully" up, waiting for a moment to pop him. I have zero problem with the punch or the subsequent kick. He saw a problem, took care of it, and backed off without getting arrested or further pounding on the drunk.

  6. We're also expecting our first child in the next month. I plan on taking her when she's 12 +/- provided she's a football fan.

I'm 31 now and started going to games with my father when I was 9 (just in time for the Glory Days). We sat in the cheap seats then and I loved it, but it's a different place now. I also went to Foxboro when I was 12 and was terrified for 3 hours after watching bottles get thrown at the Bills fans' bus as they pulled in the parking lot.

That said, I'd wouldn't take a son under 16 to sit in the endzones or upper decks now unless we were with a large group that took up multiple rows, and a daughter... never. In the club seats I'd feel more much more comfortable at 12.

On the flip side, my wife and I are both big baseball fans, and I have no problem taking an infant to MLB game.

  7. Mine included a morning of white water rafting, dinner and drinks with the boys and several trips to the ATM for one last dance...

I've also gone to shooting ranges, played golf, gone to a baseball game etc..

Basic recipe - some fun group activity, followed by a meal and drinks, followed by strippers and/or debauchery.

  8. aside from Brady, do we play an QBs that you really fear? Houston and St. Louis would be the second and third best QBs we'll face. I like this schedule, and if we can come into the bye at 4-3 I don't see a reason why we won't be legitimately competing for a playoff spot in December.

  9. It's all going to be about the Combine and/or Private Workouts for Jeffery...He did let himself get a little out-of-shape last Season...But in actuality his weight did not effect his production nearly as much as the QB change...He still runs by CB's like Dennard with little effort...But if he gets his weight WAY down, shows dedication to being in top condition, and runs in the 4.5's, I can't see why he would not be a Top 7-15 Pick...If he shows up with that little pooch and looks slow, he'll slide...despite being enormously talented... B-)

If a player can't be motivated to get his first big pay check (lack of conditioning last year)... how well do you think he'll stay motivated after he gets his first big paycheck?

  10. Look at the list of QBs not taken in the first round over the last decade... it doesn't get any prettier.

Based on what I see, there are 7 Opening Day starters out of that list(Dalton, McCoy, Kevin Kolb, Tarvaris Jackson, Matt Cassell, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Schaub) and only the two most recnt of those are with the team that drafted them (Andy Dalton and Colt McCoy)

AND drew brees all the qbs drafted in the second round since 2001....lol

    1/12 aint bad.......hahah

You left out Dalton, Kaepernick. You can also add Shaun King, Charlie Batch, Jake Plummer, Tony Banks, TODD COLLINS, Matt Blundin, and Brett Favre if you'd like to go back another decade. Based upon that list, it looks like a franchise changing QB comes out of the second round about once a decade.

  12. Let's be realistic... we're not an above average team.

When we got off to our fast start, every bounce was going our way. Luck (and not the kid from Stanford) evens out over the long run, and as luck was taken out of the equation we fell into what we really are... an average to below average team. Injuries suck, but every team has has to deal with them. We were picked to be the worst team in the league coming into the season for a reason. The expectation that we were a playoff team after beating the Patriots (when Brady had argueably his worst game as a professional) was kneejerk, as was resigning Fitz in the middle of the season to a long term deal.

I'm encouraged by the play of some of our young players, but we're still many pieces away from being in conention for a playoff run.

  13. My gut says that Defensive Backfields and Offensive Lines would be the most impacted by the shortened pre-season. They don't rely on pure individual athletisism, and require the entire unit to be in harmony.

Obviously, the offenses are ahead of the defenses right now.
