I get it shouldn't have been that close. However, the Bucs got a lot of bounces that went their way. They got a lot penalties that went their way. In the end, the Bills won the game and that's all that really matters.

I'd rather focus on how the offense played and looked different than the past three games. I'd rather look at how encouraging the offense was due to using Allen's legs and utilizing Kincaid, Shakir, Cook, and Davis. Diggs didn't have to carry the offense.

Agreed - i rewatched the second half this morning.  To his credit Mayfield barely avoided multiple sacks, their punt returner muffs a punt but it bounced right back, penalties on non-converted 4ths, a TD catch bounced off the defender’s helmet, a 2pt conversion was tipped and caught…. Everything went TB’s way and it was still comfortable for the vast majority.

We ALMOST dominated them.  Imagine if we had lined up under center and snow plowed our way to a TD when it was 3rd and goal on the 1 early instead of lining up in the shot gun and getting denied on 2 plays in a row.  Imagine if mayfield’s knee dropped 2 inches on that near safety. They seemed to get some swagger back this week.  Hopefully they find the way to make these ALMOST opportunities in to conversions moving forward.

Warren Moon was at least Offensive Player of the Year. I don't think Josh has a good case for 1st ballot HOF. I'm actually kind of shocked that even on a Bills forum that people would suggest that. Making the HOF at all might even be questionable but I think he will if he plays long enough and can put up some stats. There's also a good chance he has a Cam Newton career and starts to suck after he can't scramble. We'll see

Thats moving the uprights from what you asked… that said,  In 16 or 17 seasons Warren Moon was the offensive player of the week 16 times. Josh currently has 12.  Moon likely would have more if he didn’t play in Canada, but I think they’re similar cases until Josh gets his ring(s).

I’m going.  Bills Mafia has a whole parking lot.  It’s an awesome scene.  I brought my father last year.  He was really impressed by the scope of Bills Mafia.  He recently was in Portugal wearing Bills hat,  and he heard several “Go Bills!”.  Bills Mafia is worldwide.

I've got a group going too - which lot is Bills friendly?

I still can't believe nobody has brought up not going for 2 pt conversion when it would have forced Giants to make the PAT if needed. There was no difference of going up 5 or 4 points after that last TD. THe whole thing made absolutely zero sense.

100% - No mention of that anywhere.  It may only be a small +expected value, but the right play certainly was going for 2 there.

Can someone explain why Dane wasn't on Ridley??? Dane was on the active roster making him higher in the depth chart...so why put Elam on the #one.  Zay Jones seems like a simpler task, who also got banged up during the game. Not seeing how you don't activate someone all year, then when you have to you have him one on one with that kind of receiver.

I may be Mis-remembering, and I haven’t rewatched the game.  I thought Dane was getting picked on early.  They may have moved Elam over hoping he would do better vs Ridley.  Unfortunately he didn’t.

    Great post.

There was quite a bit of doom yesterday, which I get, given the circumstances of the day.  But with the emotion taken out of it & taking an objective view, YES, we are still SB contenders.

Agree 100% w/ the write-up on the defense.  Milano - who I still hope can be back by the playoffs - was one of many good players we have on the D.  Yes, he was among the best, if not the best.  But we have a fantastic D-line, an excellent secondary, and the LB crew can hold their own.  Williams will have plenty of time to gain experience & acclimate, and he showed some flashes yesterday that he can do just fine in that role.

My expectations for this season didn't change yesterday.  Especially when I look around the AFC.  We are still the best team, imo.

I’m not sure how your expectations don’t change.  I’d agree if we came out with an L but we’re healthy.  Losing Milano and Jones for a significant portion of the season has a huge impact on my expectations.  Couple that with Tre and you’re replacing 3 pro-bowl quality positions with JAGs.  While it may not have been a sizable impact in-game, OCs can now prepare and game plan for glaring weaknesses.

Why does the NFL want to turn itself into a reality show??

If the two of them want to date, let them do it in private, and keep it off of NFL telecasts.

It is bad enough the Super Bowl is no longer about the actual football game anymore, don’t do the same thing to the regular season.

The Kelce brothers have been promoting the "relationship" on their podcast for quite a while.  It's as much promotion for their brand as it is for the NFL.

    Why?

Poyer not dressing, it's likely Hamlin as depth and taking Rapp S/T reps.

Elam would just ride the bench...he's obviously #4 on the depth chart.  You don't bench Lewis, who's a key S/T and likely our top backup safety this week.

Because I think that Hamlin is a better safety than Cam Lewis and I think Elam is a better CB than Cam Lewis.  I'll take a hit on ST if it makes my defense better.
I believe the Cam has been on the gameday rosters so far because they needed two positions covered by one body.  With Poyer out, they they now have 3 positions to cover with 2 bodies, and I believe the Elam/Hamlin combo is better than Lewis/Hamlin or Lewis/Elam.

  9. I'm guessing they sit Cam Lewis and bring up Elam and Hamlin.  Lewis is there because of his positional versatility - but I don't think he's better than either individually at their position.  Hamlin can play special teams (he did during the preseason) too.

I don't get the impression that would occur.  If Gabe should break out and puts up any big stats it's because he gits well in the gameplans that the Bills execute and I think he would understand its the situation that allows him to capitalize in that way.   Will he want to get the biggest contract he can over staying in a place he knows he fits well is dependent on his mindset on the matter.

He doesn't give off the diva I want to be said top $$ vibes, but that certainly doesn't mean he will sign a team friendly deal if it is offered.

I don't see his personality of the type to work hard to  flash, then collect his  bag and then disappear.  He would give the same effort that netted him his deal whatever it ends up being .

If he breaks out I think he continues in that tier of quality for as long as he can maintain his health and enjoyment of the game.

This is a business - he has one shot at setting he and his family up for life.  He lives in Florida in the off-season.  He will (and should) follow the money if offered a better contract elsewhere.

  11. Gabe is this year’s Edmunds.  We want him to be more than he actually is.  We see glimpses that he’s capable of being next level, but he consistently is what he is.  Honestly - if you took away the 13 second game, his career would look incredibly more mediocre.

I suspect he will get paid more by someone else and next year we will have a thread asking how he’s doing.

This is the correct reading of the allegation, tortured though the (original) wording may be. That is, attendees were Shield employees.

Rather odd though: para 128 effectively states that Mr Trotter was IN the zoom meeting, but did not himself hear the comment.

If it was a zoom call (virtual, of course) how precisely was TP having a (side) conversation with the unnamed reporter, who was also in the call? Yes, possible, but details matter.

I only quickly reviewed...but there are many similar leverage points in the complaint that any reasonable defense lawyer will attack.

Please note: I'm only making a cold-hearted evaluation of the stated fact pattern. I don't know what is true or not.

The allegation says during a zoom conference that Trotter was part of with other NFL reporters (employees), an unnamed reporter brought up a conversation that he/she with Terry.   Trotter would not have heard the comment directly, as the unnamed reporter was recalling comments made at a different time and place.  Trotter's complaint is that the NFL didn't investigate the allegation that these comments were made in a satisfactory manner.
