I’m wondering if Beane shakes loose via trade (for a pick) someone to help out with next year’s projected salary cap challenges.

    Bueller?

I think this is the likely scenario too.  We are deep right now and getting healthy. Short of a good-to-elite OL, I don't see a move that warrants giving up draft stock.  We are going to have a lot of financial decisions to make in near future.  The best way to keep this window open as long as possible is to continually retool with young cheap talent and pay our best players to stay.

  2. I'm comfortable believing that she had a stroke and is recovering.  With no other info, we're left to fill in the blanks (rightfully or wrongfully, it's natural), and this is the most logical answer given the limited info the public knows.   The organization appears to be functional in her public absence, and I wish her the best in her recovery.

I'm inclined to rest them through the bye if that ensures that they are truly 100% against Green Bay.  I think we can win the Pittsburgh game without them and KC is going to be a tough game with or without them.  I normally wouldn't think this way, but this isn't a normal season we've had so far.

I think they're resting Knox and Poyer this week because they're banged up (but not necessarily injured).  The KC game is HUGE, and they're doing what they can to be as close to full strength as possible for that one.

  4. I can absolutely see any of the following upsets happen:
Colts over Broncos (Broncos are looking like a mess too)
Jets over Dolphins (this is my favorite)

Lions over Pats (Top scoring offense - but needs to find a way to may Pats punt)
Washington over Tenn (Tenn has not passing game)
Browns over Chargers (If Garret plays)

Cowboys over Rams  (They get to Cooper Rush)

White is listed as only five pounds lighter than Hyde and is one pound heavier than Poyer.

    The numbers I saw were:
    White: 5'11 175lbs
    Poyer: 6'0 192lbs
    Hyde: 6'0 197 lbs
    Benford 6'1 205lbs

I think he's finally coming into his own i really hope they can find a way to keep him ! I'm not sure if it being a contract year or the fact that they drafted some other LB has given him the extra motivation to be the player they thought he would or could be this season but so far the dude is on fire in coverage !!

It has much more to do with the line in front of him allowing him to move freely and confidence in knowing where he needs to be.

What are you talking about? A draw to the 44 is a 62-yard field goal. The field goal distance is always the line of scrimmage + 18 yards.

At the Miami 47 following the holding call- a draw gets you 3 yards?  That puts the ball on the 50 which equates to a 68 yard kick.  That would be a new NFL record.

When the play strarted, the line of scrimmage was the opposite 47 yard line (53 yards from the endzone).  A draw for 3 yards would get them to the 50 yard line.  50 + 18=68 yards.  I stand by my math and my post.

Yeah Mckenzie could have just ran forward for  a few yards and went down. He never should have tried for the boundary.

If he could make it to this red circle (dive if you have to), then that’s a 60 yard field goal.

Two options were forward and immediately down or make it to the sideline.  He tried to do both and didn't.  Not his fault, not Josh's.  The battered line held taking them out of range, and then collapsed on the final play.

I was surprised going back and looking at play by play of Dolphins game that Bills were perhaps already in Bass' field goal range at end of game.  Situation was second and ten on Miami 43 with 22 seconds left, no timeouts.  Next play was holding penalty.  Was 60 yards within Bass' range?  How about a draw, pick up a few yards, spike, FG attempt from 55 - 56 yards.  I know that every possible scenario from the game has been beat to death but I'm wondering if 38 yard miss influenced decisions near end of game.

  10. The Chargers and Herbert are a photocopied version of the Bills and Allen.  They're really similar, but not quite as sharp.

Mahomes is a point guard playing QB that can also throw it a mile.  His ability to elude tackles and throw from any angle is unmatched.  Allen and Mahomes are different QBs, but both are winners and the best in the game.

  11. Cleveland really screwed the rest of the league with that Watson contract.

If Baltimore franchise tags him in 2023, I believe the figure is currently around $45 million.  In 2024 it's around $54  million.

That Allen deal looks better and better....  Imagine paying $40 million more over the next 2 years for Lamar Jackson vs. Allen.
