Can't Please Everybody...especially those in Seattle.

Bills stadium is infrastructure...which is something both political parties generally agree on spending money on.   Infrastructure = jobs and revenue for surrounding areas.  Nobody would bat an eye if NY state quietly spent 800 million to build a new state of the art library or bus terminal.

I'm against tax payers funding this unless it's a loan - even a 0 interest loan....

HOWEVA, this is nothing new - the state is also spending $30 million on a new ski lodge at Gore despite the fact that the state has lost over $200 million dollars running it's state owned ski resorts.  Yankee Stadium received over $1.1 billion in public money and tax breaks (tax free bonds), CitiField, $614 million in public money and tax breaks.  MSG gets a tax exemption currently worth over $40 million per year, and has for 40 years..., Barclays Center received $266 million in property tax exemptions.... this all in addition to the hundreds of billions of dollars in real estate tax exemptions for non-profits, STAR programs, industrial/commercial development etc.

  2. For those claiming that this is racist - it doesn’t require that any individual position be filled only by a minority candidate.  Teams can simply create an “offensive assistant” position.  It creates a mentorship program.

Intelligence and ability are distributed equally - opportunity is not. How many current head coaches and prominent assistant coaches are 2nd generation?  It’s not that hey are genetically better fits - they were given exposure and access to a limited opportunity and capitalized.

  3. With a dynamic offense and a QB that will dare you to take 4th down chances, it may be more valuable to have a punter that can pin it than one that can boom it.  I would not use anything before 5th or 6th

We have glaring needs at IOL, CB and will need a WR.  Our first 4 rounds should address these needs (give me twoCBs to fight for starting roles)

  4. A) the Bills board might not be the same as “analysts”.  Their top 3 could include someone who is 5th or 6th in current mocks.

    B) if they reach tier 2 of CBS and a tier 1 WR is there, I think they go WR and trade up to get a Tier 2 CB earlier in round 2.

    C) they’ve show they’re willing to trade up to get “their guy”.  It worked for Allen, failed for Ford and is TBD on Edmunds.

  5. I don't mind this one, but I drafted Araiza a round too early by mistake.

    28. Trent McDuffie CB Washington (week 1 starter)

    38. Jahan Dotson WR Penn State (early contributor)

    130. Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin (Edmunds potential replacement)

    168. Dylan Parham OG Memphis (Rotational Guard)

    185. Marcus Jones CB Houston (CB Depth)

    203. Matt Araiza P San Diego State (Day 1 starter)

    231. Jaylen Watson CB Washington State (special teams and depth)

Now that the meat of free agency is over with -- there will be a few more bargain signings, I'm sure, but they hay is mostly in the barn -- I'm ready to turn my attention to the draft. At this point, even if/when Beane signs a veteran CB, I fully expect the Bills to use a high pick or two on cornerbacks. It wouldn't even surprise me if they doubled up on CBs this year the way they did with EDGE and OTs last year.

I'm still learning about all of the cornerbacks as I write this. Early on, with much more reading and learning to be done, I like:

Early pick (round 1): Andrew Booth - Thick, physical, well-built. At his best in zone coverage, with good closing speed and quickness. Also has the athleticism to effectively play man when called upon. More than willing to mix it up in the run game. Aggressive tackler.

Mid-to-Late pick (round 3): Cam Taylor-Britt - I could copy and paste most of what I wrote about Booth. The key difference is that Taylor-Britt appears to lack the athleticism and quickness to play man coverage as effectively as Booth. Scouts say he's a bit of a side-shuffler rather than back-peddler, which likely means he's prone to getting beat by deep speed and double moves. Still, in the Frazier/McDermott defense, seems like he could more than hold his own and be a capable CB2. At worst, appears to have the size and physicality to switch to safety if he flames out at corner, though I don't think he will.

Who do you like at corner early? Who do you like later on? Why?

I think Booth is about the best case scenario if we stick with our pick and take a CB. If he's gone, Kaiir Elam is may be the next best option.  I also like Taylor-Britt if we ended up going IOL and LB/WR in the first two rounds.

Bills starting OL both with and without Bates right now.

It might still be Cody Ford at RG with Mancz taking over the Bates' floater role.

  8. After watching the video - it sounds like someone said they were coming to him, to which he responded "you talk about being 5 minutes away, pull up - I'll real deal kill you" while showing multiple guns.

On the surface this doesn't seem like he's threating to kill someone - he's warning them that if they come to him, he'll stand his ground.

  9. I was at the Raiders game as a kid.  I remember the drunks in front of us each smuggling in a 12 pack in their sleeves and pants - It was genius level at the time.

My memories were my dad buying us coffee to hold between our legs, using the carboard carriers to lift our feet off the snow, and "Midnight Train to Georgia" playing when it was all said and done.

Guess what - we survived.  I still have all of my fingers and toes, and it's one of my favorite memories with my dad.

Is attendance important or ticket sales? With the percentage of season tickets sold the NFL has made their money. Throw in the ratings boost when Buffalo is a national game and I believe the league is pretty satisfied with this small market city.

If the NFL was worried about fans coming and being at the game...perhaps they would have the foresight to take weather into account when they scheduled this weekends games and made it a daytime game so there is still some sunlight out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hindsight is 20/20 - but Sunday at 1p would have been perfect with the weather gods.

Ryan Fitzpatrick. If he wants to continue his career, it makes too much sense. No one will be giving him a chance to start at his age and coming off that injury, and he's said that Buffalo is his favorite place. Seems like a perfect fit.

No thank you - that all but guarantees an injury for JA

I have never liked any players who put themselves before their team.  To me, this is not a vax issue; it's a selfish a-hole issue.  It's why I wanted Flutie gone, why I wanted Tyrod gone and why I want Beasely gone.  It has nothing to do with the vax, per se.  It has to do with the player and his negative impact on the team.

The guy absolutely balled out when we needed him the most and he's taken a physical beating.  I don't think there's a guy on the roster that thinks Beasley isn't putting in his 1/11th.  There are enough guys on this roster that didn't vax, just like there are enough people in everyday life that didn't vax, that I think it's far less of an issue for his teammates than it is for fanatics.
