  1. Gibbs had Theisman, HOF'er. Dick Vermiel isn't in the hall and probably won't make it (I think he should) Bud Grant had Fran Tarkenton, HOF'er, George Halas had Sid Luckman, HOF'er, John Madden had the Snake who should be in the HOF but inexplicably isn't. And George Allen never won anything. Almost a total fail on your part, plus only gibbs and halas would even come close to the top 10 coaches all time.
  2. As I recall a few bills games got blacked out in 06. Pats have sold out every year since 93. And I was born in '86 what do I care what the fans were like before then.
  3. Dude this is pre season, the raiders have one of the largest national followings of any team. Its hard to remember because they've sucked the last 6 seasons but the Raiders are a proud franchise with an imense following. But also, its California so their football fans are all fair weather anyway.
  4. I doubt we'll have a problem, last year we held you to 10 points in two games and the only td was a garbage time one set up by a great kick return.
  5. Who is in your top 10? I assume you're talking all-time because he's easily #1 in the present nfl. Because I garauntee all of them had a hall of fame qb.
  6. Yeah seriously, look at what all that "leadership" has done for Matt Leinart and Vince Young, both better college QB's than Tebow.
  7. Lets examine a few of those players you mentioned, the QB's specifically since we're comparing them to Tebow. Joe Montana- Notre Dame, long long history of great NFL players, pro style offense, multiple HOF QB's, tons of HOF'ers and tons of solid players Tom Brady- Michigan, long long history of great NFL players, not so much QB's but still there have been a few to have long careers in the NFL such as Brian Griese and Todd Collins John Unitas-anomoly Roger Staubach- was drafted so late because he was in the Navy and was going to Vietnam Bart Starr- played for Alabama another school that has produced a myriad of hall of famers and another HOF QB, and a pretty much inexhaustable list of solid players Then you look at Florida, bust after bust after bust after bust. Tebow is going to be Danny Weurffle/Rex Grossman part deux. Your logic is faulty you're trying to say that because there have been players selected in late rounds who succeeded, Tebow (who will likely go in the 1st or 2nd) will succeed? The knocks on the QB's you mentioned were physical (except Staubach) my grudge against Tebow is that he can't play in an NFL style offense, and his success is due to the fact that he's basically playing a different game.
  8. The guy has played for 3 other teams and gotten the bums rush out of all 3 of them, why would you expect the illusion of loyalty out of him?
  9. Frankly I think the biggest insult here Jason, is that you're insinuating that Jasper and Caveman are racists. If anyone called me a racist I'd punch them square in the nose, thats how offended I'd be. Its more insulting than being called a cracker or a honky thats for sure. It questions everything about a person, it calls into question their up bringing, their intelligence as well as their entire view of reality. You really should be more consciencious when you throw around the word racist
  10. See, this is what I don't understand about Juaron, why I think he's a horrible coach. Your offense last year sucked horribly and was going 3 and out and you were getting killed in time of possession and your defense was really tired. So his conclusion is "Hmmm why don't we implement the hurry up offense so we can get off the field even faster!". You guys don't have the talent to do it I don't understand why you aren't trying to play smash mouth football with marshawn and jackson, or play a spread and give them some draws, screens and what have you, and have Evans and TO stretch the field while giving it to reed and Roscoe underneath. The hurry up is just a horrible idea for your offense right now. Thats just my two sense. They should just use it situationally, not just use it for the sake of using it.
  11. Quote me on this the rest of my life if you want. Tim Tebow will do nothing in the NFL NOTHING. The list of successful UF QB's in the NFL? 0 (unless you want to count rex grossman who rode the bears to a superbowl but I don't think anyone wants to stick up for him) Hell the list of successful UF players in the NFL is a short one anyway regardless of position. Jack Youngblood and Emmitt Smith are two hall of famers yes. But other than that you have some guys who are very few and far between like Kevin Carter and Fred Taylor, and absolutely no one in the last 10 years. Tebow is all hype (NFL prospectwise I mean, not to say he isn't one of the greatest college QB's ever) and any team that drafts him in the first round to be their savior is foolish. and why would you dismiss Bradford more easily than Tebow anyway? Bradford plays in a gimmicky spread system, but Tebow plays in THE gimmicky spread system. They're both gonna be NFL busts. Colt McCoy is way better than either of them.
  12. Fave (non-Pats)- McNabb, Matt Ryan, Kurt Warner, Matt Cassel (for obvious reasons) Least- The Manning Bro's and Cutler All-Time (just guys I've been able to see in my lifetime) - Steve Young, Troy Aikman I always hated the cowboys but I always liked Troy a consumate pro Least-Marino, Kelly, Elway
  13. I hate Jerry Jones as much as the next red blooded American, but the guy is gonna be in the hall of fame AND he has 3 super bowl rings (and unfortunately will probably have more by the time he retires) He's head and shoulders a better football man than Ralph, maybe Ralph has a heart of gold or whatever you want to think, but if I had to choose I'd take Jones everytime over Ralph, because winning matters
  14. You guys all act like Brady was some garbage heap qb before Moss came around. And that a decent wide receiver will turn Trent Edwards into a hall of famer. Brady was winning superbowls with offensive talent worse than Trent has had.
  15. You know who IS a lot like the 07 Pats? The 09 Pats. Moss Welker Stallworth Brady Maroney/Morris/Faulk Light Mankins Koppen Neal Kaczur Watson Moss Welker Galloway Brady Maroney/Taylor/Morris/Faulk/Green-Ellis Light Mankins Koppen Neal Vollmer Watson/Baker/Smith
  16. ::shakes head in disappointment:: Really? Really?
  17. considering how well we fleeced the raiders last time I'd guess a 7th
  18. At least they were smart enough to start Flutie
  19. Ok we both know Brady is a 1st ballot hof qb, we'll also be adding Randy Moss, Bill Belichick, Richard Seymour (and possibly Bruschi and Harrison)
  20. Shouldn't you be suckin' some D down in allentown?
  21. Just draft a hall of fame qb and you guy's will be in the super bowl hunt year after year too
  22. Probably a bit of both, Wood is definitely a good rookie guard, but Stroud is no spring chicken, it was evident last year not to mention he came in to buffalo with a lot of injury history.
  23. Good call on Brady at #2, though I'd take him if I had the #1 spot.
