  1. Though it still hurts, it doesn't really hurt coming from a Bill's fan. That loss still haunts me I have dreams where Asante makes that pick, or Thomas plants Eli on the turf. But then I just think of 2001 and its sweetness takes the bitterness of 07 right out of my mouth, and by the time I get to thinking about 03 and 04, 07 is a distant memory, sure it would have been nice to have had the greatest team in history but it doesn't mean I can't still enjoy having been on top of the world 3 times before. We don't have to win another and I'll be content. Thats not to say I'm not hungry for 09 to get here, hell hath no fury like Brady's revenge.
  2. You mean the signals that they say through the radio? are you talking about lip reading?
  3. How would they know that if they were stealing defensive signals?
  4. Lol this is laughable, you wanna talk about whiney look at Peyton, not Tom, Peyton's got the patented WTF arm flap whenever he gets sacked, he blames losses on his OL. Tom is not a whiner and YOU know it, take off your sh!tty team's colored glasses
  5. how is Brady a pansy? The guy won the AFCCG in 04 with the flu with a 101 degree fever in Pittsburgh in January, he played half the 06 season with a sports hernia, he has the 3rd longest consecutive start streak in history behind only Favre and Manning's active streaks. He's played with a bum shoulder since 02. As far as QB's go he's in the upper echelon of tough QB's probably 2nd or 3rd toughest in the game today, 2nd if Favre retires. He was also the most hit QB in the last 4 seasons or so. Hate on him if you will, but you can't question the guy's toughness. As for who I think are some of the biggest pansies in the game today, I'd have to say Byron Leftwich, Trent Edwards, Romo, Cutler (just because he's a whiney b!tch), and Alex Smith
  6. Tim a more relevant argument would be how they cheated the salary cap the years they won the superbowl, or how the every steeler and his mother was juiced up in the 70's (and possibly even today)
  7. Lol I know I'm ripping on my own team by doing this but, if its the North American continent we're talking about there are tons of Pats fans in Nicaragua http://www.nypost.com/seven/02142008/news/...gua/photo01.jpg
  8. They're not America's team, they're our team, America can't have 'em
  9. Probably because Goodell give him a reduced penalty in exchange for not blowing the whistle. And as for proof, BB has been in the league for over 35 years on 7 different franchises and is the most respected coach in the league, if he wanted to talk I'm sure people would listen.
  10. The bills didn't invent the no huddle, Sam Wysche on the Bengals did http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Wyche
  11. Actually MattM you've flamed me pretty bad for some intelligent things I've said in other forums
  12. I think its more of a testament to Cassel for having the ability to adjust to a new game plan mid game, For Belichick changing gameplans mid game is business as usual
  13. Steve Wozniak is giving him house hunting tips? He should stick to making computers
  14. Yeah I wanted Maualuga so bad, I really wonder why we didn't take him. But Guyton is pretty decent, he played 3rd downs mostly, due to his crazy speed (fastest LB in the draft last year) he plays pretty well in coverage, he plays well in space, not that good in the thick of things
  15. I'm sad to say that Bruschi is about done at this point, Gary Guyton (UDRFA last year) started a lot of games and got more snaps than Bruschi last year. So yeah Poz is obviously better than Bruschi at this point (can't hold his jock career wise but he's only been playing two years so we'll see) but Mayo is head and shoulders above him.
  16. You should also factor in for the 07 draft that we traded a 2nd for welker, a 4th for Moss and turned the 28th pick in 07 into the 7th overall in 08. I understand that it has nothing to do with the people we drafted but we took some pretty low picks and turned them into the guy who caught the most td's ever in a season, the guy whose led the league in receptions the two years he's been with us, and the defensive rookie of the year.
  17. How does it leave us in a Jam he re tore his acl we weren't planning on him anyway, we have merriweather and sanders and just drafted chung. He only played like 6 games last year. Yeah we'll really have trouble filling his roster spot.
  18. No I'm saying that its not like either was a marquee signing, I'm weighing them in terms of the roles they were signed to play, in which case Taylor made way more sense for us and Rhodes made more sense for you. Taylor probably didn't want to sign with you guys because you have a #1 and #2 who are at this point in their careers better than he is, he wanted somewhere he would get a lot of touches, welcome to new england Freddy. Rhodes on the other hand would sign anywhere that offered him a warm meal and a hot shower
  19. I felt like it was ours, but we got unlucky on the tiebreakers, otherwise I'd be right
  20. NE- 13-3 Buf- 9-7 Mia- 7-9 NYJ- 5-11 The wild cat is a gimmickey offense, you need a good pocket passer and/or a smashmouth running game to be successful on offense in this league period. See how well their wild cat worked on us when we beat them to the tune of 48-28 and ran for like 70 yards. You might as well advocate the option or the fun 'n' gun
  21. Thats his (ex-)quarterback, thats his (ex-)teammate
  22. Given our team's different states I would take Fred Taylor for the pats over Rhodes anyday since we're running a RB by committee and a flier on a guy like Fred Taylor is definitely worth taking over Rhodes since we won't need to rely on him as much as you will Rhodes. Fred Taylor is essentially replacing Lamont Jordan a guy who only played in 8 games. You also didn't previously have a skat back so Rhodes makes sense for you in that regard, we already have Kevin Faulk. But yeah for the pats I'd take Taylor over Rhodes 100%, but he makes sense for you guys. Edit: Maroney is pretty damn good when he's actually on the field.
