Hmm where does Breece Hall fall? I’m going to guess the Bills don’t have a first round grade on him.

So who should we be mad at for not showing up besides Poyer? Is there a list of deadbeats somewhere who are too lazy to get in shape to win a superbowl or do we need to piece this together?
I would doubt Diggs is here. He wasn't last year. But I wouldn't suggest he's too lazy to get in shape. It's more likely he views the early phases of OTA as INTERFERING with his workout program.

I’m guessing Harrison Smith is the deal Poyer is looking for. Hyde maybe as well. 4 years $64 million $26 million guaranteed at 32 years old.
Both players are playing at this level.
I think Harrison Smith may well be the template they're after, because of the size of the deal and Smith's age at signing.
So it might be worth looking at exactly what the details are
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/harrison-smith-9839/
https://overthecap.com/player/harrison-smith/1779/
The details vary a bit between Spotrac and Overthecap, but essentially it's a 2 to 3 year deal with little or no salary guaranteed in the 3rd year.
It had a bonus that kicked in this year and got amortized, so if the Vikes get out of the deal after year 3, they have $7.8M dead cap
It's "only" $14.1M guaranteed at signing, another $10.9 guarantee the 3rd day of the league year in Year 2.
The high salary doesn't kick in until year 3.

A California woman was arrested Tuesday by Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority police after allegedly becoming unruly on board an airplane at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport in Cheektowaga.
An NFTA spokeswoman said 24-year-old Cynthia McKnight of Sacramento faces a number of charges, including disorderly conduct, harassment, trespassing and criminal mischief.
NFTA detectives said McKnight opened the cargo door of the plane. She was turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office for pending warrants. The American Airlines flight she was aboard was en route to Chicago.
The slide in Spencer Brown's picture was not positioned where the cargo door is, nor does the cargo door deploy a slide when opened.
Better article
Plane was bound for Chicago O'Hare and had already pushed back from the gate when she Did That Thing

People are getting crazy they need to ban her from any future flights if she's willing to do that there's no telling what she might do ...
She's on American's "no fly list" pending investigation.
Would not be a shock if other airlines follow suit. It's a Big Deal in today's "just in time/just what's needed" air travel world. The plane has to go out of service while the slide and door get checked out and re-packed/re-armed. All the pax need rebooked (65 people), but worse than that, the plane was undoubtedly scheduled for 1-2 more flights that evening/night and still more the next morning, so there will be follow-on effects in the system
She can Go Greyhound, use Amtrak, or stick out her thumb from now on.

He's technically not holding out - these are optional practices. Which was also negotiated. I think that's important.
Exactly. They are voluntary practices, and it's worth noting that non-attendees last year included Mitch Morse (who had a fantastic season, but chose to train at home near his pregnant wife) and Diggs (who has this totally nutsoid off season training program). I'm not saying that Poyer being there wouldn't be a strong ++ because I think he "brings it" in training and watching film, but the practices are voluntary.

Worth remembering that a number of prominent players weren't present last off-season (Diggs). The first part of OTAs is classroom and workouts only, and some of these guys feel they can work out better off-site with their own favored trainers and routines.
That said, pretty sure in this instance it will be contract related.

If you just want a poll, then check the little box to make it a "poll only" thread.
I did it for ya
Anyone wishing to discuss this, can go to the existing Breece Hall thread started by the same OP, there isn't enough different substrate in his OP for this to merit multiple discussion threads.

Beef? I suppose it was brisket.
I'm more of a pulled pork/pork ribs kind of guy myself. But to each their own I suppose.
McKenzie's restaurant specializes in "Texas craft BBQ". I think that means Central Texas style BBQ which is smoked brisket and smoked sausage from what I'm told.
Makes sense, right Central Texas was "Beef Country"

Ah, No.
But it was a damned fine route all the same. "Yo Gabe! Have mercy, that man's gotta eat!""

With under 15 seconds left the CB was thinking the play was going to the sideline to get out of bounds immediately to stop clock.
Didn't pay as much attention to the inside as he did sideline. Guess the DB thought he had some S help just in case, but got burned
I believe Josh froze the safety - had Beasley or Diggs (or both) to the R

Rodgers is a 5? He claimed in an interview I found he was a 3.5, "3 on a good day". LOL
Josh went into Pebble Beach handicapped as 9.

So 'Lil Dirty did come up to work out with Davis; hopefully he brought some BBQ

When talking about Davis at the combine McD said something to the effect of “he is an example that you can develop these WRs in later rounds… not to give away draft strategy or anything”…. It is going to be CB or safety in the first.
Wow! Well, without giving Beane draft suggestions.....apparently Dane Jackson (7th round) and Levi Wallace (UDFA) are examples that they can develop these CB in later rounds or UDFA and apparently Micah Hyde (5th round) and Jordan Poyer (7th round) are examples they can develop these safeties in later rounds.
So basically we played the last 7 games of the season and went 5-2 (with an OT loss and a close game) with a secondary that was drafted 5th round at the earliest
2 hours ago, freddyjj said:Thanks for details here. I used pro football reference site too and they have Gabe Davis' career drop rate at 6.4%.
That is correct, but it was 7.9% this past season
2 hours ago, freddyjj said:Given the signing of Crowder to play the slot and Davis' blocking ability I would guess he will be the #2 WR in 2022. Any 2022 draftee will likely trail Diggs, Davis and Crowder in targets. I will be interested in the effect of any increased 12 formation using Knox/Howard on WR targets in 2022.
That's how the depth chart currently stands.
The point I think some of us are making is that we'd like to see an offensive investment early in the draft, both as competition for Davis in case he does not take that WR step to become the #2 WR he has not been as yet (in part for no fault of his own), and as depth. If the WR depth chart is Diggs Davis Crowder and one or two of them get hurt then who? Kumerow? Hodgins? Gentry?

For the "this is why you don't pay Diggs now" crowd in response to Poyer's actions.
This is why you DO pay Diggs now. He's happy, Josh is happy, and it was going to happen regardless.
To be fair, there is a difference: both Deebo Samuel and AJ Brown are in the last year of their cheap rookie deals
Diggs was being well-paid on a 2nd contract which had 2 years left to run

I'm also seeing a theme here, where it seems as though we're picking up FA OL who are notable run-blockers and counting on what? The RB? The TE? Josh's feet? for pass protection.
Although to be fair, a legitimate fear of the run game will improve the pass protection as well.
