  1. To be fair to MKC, who I have met and believe is a very good reporter, she updated her story for accuracy: http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2017/10/browns_failed_to_approve_trade.html
  2. Oh I feel fairly certain that the Benjamin trade is partially geared toward helping out whoever the next QB may be
  3. For me, I think it's about giving Tyrod a WR that he trusts. Granted, Tyrod's not the type to throw up jump balls very often, but you notice a difference in the balls he'll throw to Clay or Matthews vs. the ones that he'll throw to Deonte Thompson or Zay Jones. I think Benjamin will be the type that Tyrod is willing to throw contested passes to on a more consistent basis, and it's obvious to me that they wanted to give themselves more passing options in the red zone. If Benjamin results in the team scoring 5-6 more red zone TDs per season, then that'll be worth it to me.
  4. Oh just another one of Bandit's 2016 draft steals that the entire league fell asleep on: https://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/184221-2016-draft-wrte-thread/page-5?do=findComment&comment=3858561 https://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/184221-2016-draft-wrte-thread/page-11?do=findComment&comment=3897695 Indeed...it would shock me if they took any other approach
  5. As I predicted several pages ago, Yeezy will not be back. He waits for something he perceives as bad to happen, starts a silly thread intended to get folks worked up, and then leaves. It's his MO
  6. Add me to the list that agrees with you and Gunner
  7. If I'm a coach, I don't see any way that I can get myself to the point where I feel that the kid is committed to football as opposed to his social efforts.
  8. So we should probably not field that team this Thursday
  9. They clearly weren't 100% comfortable that Tommy Boy was still in his prime, so they held onto Janine. Now that they can get Hoyer (which I'm sure was part of a wink-nod arrangement with SF) to be Tommy Boy's clipboard holder, they felt better about moving him.
  10. I knew stashing him on my bench in fantasy football was a good idea!
  11. Nah, not really a game-changer...just another element that makes this game a bit tougher than if it were a home game.
  12. Yeah, toughER is really all I was saying.
  13. There's probably more to it than you think. It's not just hop on a plane and we're there; ready to go. It's travel, check in, set up for meetings, video, meals, etc. Is it particularly arduous? No. Is it significantly more time consuming than what the home team has to do? Yes.
  14. It's more about having to turn around and travel for the game on the short week than anything else. Think of it this way: Buffalo has one rest/film/game plan day, one practice day, one travel day, and then the game; New Jersey has one rest/film/game plan day, one practice day, one walkthrough day, and then the game. It'd definitely tougher on the road team.
  15. I hate using cliches, and so I'm annoyed with myself for typing this... This team wants to win for each other, and it makes me want them to win
  16. This is going to be a tough one for sure Road game, short week, divisional opponent It would be huge to win it
  17. You guys realize that Yeezy will not be back after the OP He starts threads that he thinks will rile folks up, and then he bails Y'all have been had
  18. IMO, someone would have to be overly sensitive to take that expression as having a racial connotation. I feel like it's pretty simple--McNair was saying that they can't let the players dictate how they run their organization. Now, that's a debatable stance for him to take, but I think that people getting their feathers ruffled over the idiom that he uttered--which is clearly overshadowing the discussion regarding whether or not what he meant has merit--is a rather large overreaction.
  19. You know, it just hit me...Texans players are contemplating walking out of practice because their owner used a common phrase (incorrectly-- ) Meanwhile, there's a kid playing for this team that took a whole 1 day off of practice after burying his infant daughter. I know which guy I admire more; that's for certain.
  20. That won't happen, because--unlike Kaepernick--Sherman behaves as though football is his number 1 priority. The reason Kaep doesn't have a job is because coaches want QBs that are focused primarily on football. For better or worse, Kaep isn't.
  21. Yeah, that's the most interesting part of it to me--that McNair got the phrase wrong
  22. In both cases there are some parties that don't get it. Either way, this particular incident, to me, is a fairly sizable overreaction to a rather common and benign adage.
  23. It's just an expression--yes, poor choice of words, but good grief...are the players really this thin-skinned?
