Russ Brandon - Is he the problem with our HC search?
May Day 10 replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IT starts at the top. If ralph wilson was serious about turning this team around, there would have been a true cleansing of the front office. Instead there was a half assed shake up. The other main problem, Russ Brandon actually got a promotion. So it is obvious that a HC coming in will not be given the tools to succeed. -
why no Billick interest yet??

He would demand too high of a salary and he would actually say yes to the Bills -
From Allen Wilson's chat today

pretty convenient and clean to blame the guy who is gone -
The Sabres are keeping me happy!
May Day 10 replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Sabres do it right. Very proud of the organization. People hate on Golisano, Regier, Quinn, and Ruff..... however I think they have done a marvelous job and there can be no better sitch for the Sabres -
Wilson updates AP on Bills coaching search

jw... can you post the article now where Wilson coherently says that they are committed to building a winner and in doing so, they are trying to hammer out some details with Bill Cowher? -
Wilson updates AP on Bills coaching search

this is what the cynic in me suggests and I am not ruling it out. Ill hold my judgement until we see who the actual HC is. I am unimpressed with the recent "changes" in the front office. If somehow a deal is announced with Cowher, every negative feeling I have toward the Bills is proven completely untrue. If they get some shite... it doesnt matter at all who was interviewed -
my point is, you just dont know for sure. Especially with dealing with undefeated teams. It isnt that much of a stretch to think Boise State could beat Alabama. I would definitely put money on Alabama if there was no line. But I would love to see that game. the mid majors have definitely proved over the past few years that the gap is much, much less than it has historically been.

Just like Utah last year...

Philly has to play in its share of cruddy weather. McNabb is also from Chicago I believe. The guy is a warrior and weather has never been a factor for him.

I soooooo want to see the news come down that the Bills and Cowher have agreed to a deal. It is so much more than just finding the HC. Its a really good HC. The move will send shockwaves around the AFC East and the NFL. People counted the Bills out and now they would be VERY relevant. In order to bring Cowher here, they would have had to prove to him that winning is the #1 priority here and they are willing to do and spend what it takes to win and provide Cowher with an atmosphere where winning Super Bowls is possible. I would be very excited to be a Bills fan

when I hear people (idiot fans) B word and cry about McNabb... I always provide the response: "Id take him on the Bills any day of the week". All the guy does is win. He is tough and leaves blood on the field... a real competitor and leader.

I dont think it is undisputed. Im disputing it. Boise State would have a shot at beating Alabama. They deserve a shot. Nobody thought they had a chance against the Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl a few years ago. Also, Utah smoked Alabama last season which was very unexpected. It is maddening to think about how awesome the bowl/playoff system in NCAA Football can be.

I had to take work in the Philly/South Jersey area and I have been here for 3-4 years. It isnt bad at all. For a big city, the traffic and crowding isnt bad at all. You still get winter, but it is fairly mild. If you like to ski, some nice ski country 1 1/2 hours away. DC is close, NYC is close.... SOme awesome things to do in Philly as well. The Bills backers of Philly have great get togethers too at the Public House in Philly. Check them out. Oh yeah, the drive to Buffalo isnt bad at all. I still get to 4-5 Bills games and maybe 10 Sabres games.

im not insulted... but I just dont get the humor at all...

same thing with the Detroit Red Wings and also the Bills in the mid to late 90's. You almost need some bad years sprinkled in there. If the team is constantly at or near the top of the standings for long enough, a playoff game loses its luster for the fans. -
I agree with Pass The Pipe Russ Brandon is a poison to this team. Along with Overdorf and Littman. Ralph will never get rid of these clowns which makes him the ultimate poison. We will just continue to be jerked around until Ralph dies and we get the ultimate reward for sticking it out: The team will move to maximize Ralph's family fortune. I wish I was wrong. The Nix "hiring" and Brondon's "promotion" reinforces this. I was watching Peter King on PTI yesterday and he said flat out..... that A HC Candidate, high on teams' lists, flat out doesnt like the Nix hiring and that takes away from the attractiveness of the position. If Cowher signs here, I think that I will be completely proven wrong. It means they actually do want to win and were able to prove to Cowher that winning is the priority. I think the main reason we cannot land a good coach or GM is because winning isnt a large priority here. So I am not expecting it. Our new HC will just be someone desperate for a shot at HC.

Stadium group in L.A. targeting Jags, Bills
May Day 10 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes, but if the team isnt a pile of crap like it has been for more than a decade, the area is willing to support prices that are higher than they are currently charging. -

if we are talking about fairness. How is it fair to rip the hearts out of thousands and thousands of people? People who pack a stadium in a near blizzard with a subzero degree wind chill to watch a meaningless game may think this is not fair. For these people (us), these Sundays are a way of life...... And this billionaire punk thinks its fair to attempt to rip this team away from us. Why doesnt he go bother the NFL to add a couple expansion teams? As far as ticket prices go.... if the team is competitive, there is a lot of room to increase those prices.... Did anyone look at stubhub/ebay during the 1st 6 games last season? -
