  1. I'd much rather improve our record and hell, make a run at the playoffs, than be in the position to draft Luck... who may or may not be good in the NFL.

Right on Dorkington. I'd much rather be rooting for a playoff birth than debating who our first round pick is come December.

  2. I've already called dibs on a front row seat to watch Andrew Luck's draft value PLUMMET.

I've also called dibs on being the first to say I told you so.

And not because he didn't declare when he was hot, but because he could NEVER live up to the hype and expectations that threads like these and aaaaaaaaaaaall the insufferable ball washing that's come before assume as certainty.

I 100% agree that his stock is going to drop, but I believe that the biggest contributor to that will be the loss of Harbaugh at coach.

  3. These were all players that worked with fitz when he was the number two qb...09'T.O and Lee got the reps with Cptn Check down and Roscoe was on the sideline. 10' He was the number two QB comming in...but by the BAL game...him and Lee were clickin.

Hopefully this extra time working together will help. Other than the Baltimore game, there wasn't really a big show from Lee.

I don't THINK I'm expecting too much out of Lee, but we'll see how he and Fitzy are doing once preseason games start.

I didn't see the 'as long as it's not available at your address' stipulation. Looks like I will have to stick with the game rewind.

  5. Do you know if the pre-season live thing archives the games, or is your only option to watch them live? I was looking for this, but had no luck...I remember hearing about it last year, or the year before...but, with justin Tv, etc, it didn't seem necessary at the time...but would love to be able to see the pre-season games...call me a geek!

I already signed up for this year!

It archives the preseason games, but only while the preseason is going on. Once the regular season started, I could no longer access preseason games.

  6. I checked in on this last year.

The Preseason live package is what it implies, preseason games (that are not being televised already) live.

During the regular season, there is no live online service available in the US. The best you can do is the NFL Rewind, which will let you view all of the games after they have been played, typically available in 24 hours after the game.

EDIT: I wasn't aware of the Sunday Ticket thing. #350 is a bit pricey, but I like to watch more than the Bills.

  7. I'm not going to "bash" the OP, but in my 42+ years of life experience I've found that rarely (if ever) is one's character a function of whether or not he is a man of faith.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Perfectly stated. I was thinking the exact same thing.

I agree with you gentlemen on this.

It does seem like a lot of our players are very religious though. If it is a commonality that brings them together and (more importantly IMO) makes them a better team, then have at it.

  8. massive sarcasm?

I think this year our LB corps is going to be a strength position with the players added in the draft & Wanny coaching them man it will be awesome !!

Batten is going to be a major bad ass in this corp just think  the possibilities !!

This not being in any positional order -

Merriman - Poz - Sheppard - Moats - Batten - Ayodele - Davis - :w00t: Plus the other guy drafted this year (of which i can't remember his name) & then the depth that is Kelsay , & Torbor i don't see how this position this year can't be a strength in this team !!

  9. Hey guys,

I had both Chris White & Michael Jasper on the show today, mixed in with the Osama bin Laden talk. Both were great. People were comparing White to Chan Gailey. Jasper was tremendous, said he'll deal with wings and weck "in moderation."

Apologies for the cheap plug, but I know we're still trying to grow as a station and not all of you would've been away from Rome/Rush,

Worthwhile plug! Thanks for the links.

  10. He is first round talent at what point in time do you google for 30 seconds before blasting a bs pos post?

He has a scary neck and back injury that appears all 32 teams think is too much To risk.

Correction, the Saints, who are winning the draft, may get the steal of the century if he is healthy.

I said the same thing earlier. They've had a great few days.

  11. The only other ones I'm missing are Mangold and Orakpo. But we already have Wood, a younger version of Mangold now. We have yet to find our Orakpo but we will in time.

So back to the topic. We have all been haunted by what might have been. Haloti Ngata escaped our grasp. David Harris could have been had. Revis was an option as well. These were the fumbles of the past. We have a new GM now who seems to know what he is doing. He's making smart quality picks now and it looks like he's rectifying our past mistakes. Better late than never. Nix and Whaley are doing what needs to be done. I'm thinking Ralph is ok with this and is giving them some reign.

It's about damn time football men are in charge and making solid picks. We are overdue with this gentlemen and gentle ladies. I believe (in my own view) this year I will think less and less of bad picks of the past. This is a new beginning. This will be the start of a year when other teams for a change will say (a few years from now) that "damn, we shoulda picked up that player and we let him slide to Buffalo!" It's our time now.

Gentlemen we are on our way to an upswing. We have a GM who knows what he's doing. It's finally our time.

And that time is now ROMEUS!

  12. 1 A Dareus is a no brainer

2 B I was thinking rush linebacker here, but they went with the CB. It makes sense as some help was needed there. McGee is often injured, McKelvin has underperformed, and then we have reggie, who's not ready to start.

3 B- I think that there were better LB options available with this pick (Houston, Wilson) but they did finish addressing all 3 levels of the defense.
