I think it's fairly useful. People are getting emotional about it, and letting it stand in the way of recognizing these folks' right to put up their center. Whether or not I'd put the mosque there if I were in the shoes of the decision-maker is another matter entirely.
Action. I recognize, however, that the situation has become rather unfortunate.
I don't think they'll be looking for approval first. When they finally make the decision, it'll be far too late to wait for a head nod from Obama.
As long as the New Testament is your canon, you're fine by me (for the most part ).
Trust me when I say that I know that the "religion of peace" is actually quite the opposite. However, I think that my future will be just fine.
And this is why we can never have a discussion. Do you see what you have done here?
I'm in a personal war with the Westboro Baptist Church. I don't trust Christians for that reason alone. Is that alright?
Care to explain? Am I extrapolating too much from, "The flourishing of human life and cultures is compatible with a substantial decrease of the human population. The flourishing of nonhuman life requires such a decrease?"
Ah - I misunderstood, then. Well I guess what it comes down to for me, then, is being a fan even when I have to look at them and say they suck.
Cheers.
I think here (the bolded) is where you get most people here wrong. Every Bills fan I know doesn't take a Bills loss to heart and let it destroy their day/week. It's more like, "Well dammit, the Bills lost again. It'd be nice if they had won. I enjoy it when they win." Then normal people think about what's going on at work the next day.
Also: what alternate universe are you speaking of? Did you mention it before? I missed it.
